The most powerful wizard in the magic world

Chapter 245 The Danger of the Mysterious Land

The dim light leaked in through the cracks in the rocks, barely illuminating the vague shadows around. Irene leaned against a cold rock, took a deep breath, and tried to calm her panic.

"We can't just give up like this." Her voice was unusually clear in the silence, and her eyes firmly swept over her companion, Fallon, who was sitting not far from her, his face covered by shadows, as if in deep thought.

He slowly raised his head and frowned slightly, "Do you really believe there is still hope? The others...didn't survive."

"We still have a chance," Irene said with a hint of urgency in her tone. "Remember when we first came in, the passages of those trials mentioned the path to redemption. No matter how insignificant we are, since we have chosen this path, we must find a way out."

Fallon was silent for a moment, his gaze gradually relaxed, "Maybe you are right, but we have no food or water, and we can't go on for much longer."

Irene felt an oppressive atmosphere spreading between them. She stood up and decided not to let despair control her anymore. "We need to find other apprentices. No matter what, we can't be the last two. Any clues passed down may be important."

"But there is only darkness and death here." Fallon leaned against the rock and closed his eyes. The inner struggle made him look particularly tired.

"Do you still have hope? Believe in yourself, Fallon." Irene's voice was like the glimmer of light in the morning sun, warm and firm. She walked in front of him, leaned down slightly, and looked directly into his eyes. "Even if we are in the most desperate situation now, we can't give up hope!"

Fallon finally opened his eyes and saw Irene's determined eyes, and a surge of strength surged in his heart. He stood up, and although he still felt uneasy, he couldn't help but follow Irene's steps, "Okay, let's try it together."

They slowly walked deeper into the secret realm. It was quiet all around, broken by the occasional drops of water dripping from the rocks. As they walked, Irene suddenly stopped and said, "Listen, there seems to be a sound ahead."

Fallon squinted his eyes and listened carefully. The sound was faintly a low whisper, which seemed to come from the deeper darkness. He nodded and responded, "It may be the voice of other apprentices. Let's go and check it out."

The foggy darkness made them feel that every step was extremely difficult. The stones under their feet kept sliding and making faint sounds when touched, as if reminding them of the danger of this mysterious place.

The voices ahead were becoming clearer and clearer, and Irene felt something strange in her heart. "Fallon, be prepared for any situation. If there are really other people, it's best not to approach rashly."

Fallon nodded, tightly grasped the staff in his hand, and silently thought about what he could do. They carefully approached the direction of the sound and finally found a small gap. Through the gap, they could see a few vague figures in the cave. The sound came from there.

"Listen, that's what they are discussing." Irene whispered.

"Let's listen first." Fallon also lowered his voice, held his breath, and focused.

"We must find a way out! Otherwise we will be trapped here forever!" a figure said excitedly. It was a woman with a panicked look on her face. Her voice was particularly sharp in the secret place full of fear.

"Calm down, Alicia." Another voice responded, seemingly a mature and steady man, "We are not the only survivors, but we must organize our thoughts and find a more effective way."

“But what can we do? Those monsters may attack at any time, and we will all die.” Alicia’s voice was trembling, and it was obvious that she was filled with despair.

“Professor Feng said that our salvation is hidden here, and that we must unite to survive,” the man continued, a sense of urgency in his words.

"Unity? We don't even know if he's really alive!" Alicia almost shouted, her voice mixed with anger and helplessness.

Fallon and Irene looked at each other and decided that they had to take the initiative. They couldn't just sit there and wait for death. So they gently pushed the rocks away and revealed themselves.

"We are not enemies!" Irene spoke first, breaking the uneasy atmosphere. She tried her best to make her voice sound calm, "We are also apprentices, and we overheard your conversation by chance."

Four figures suddenly turned around, and one of them, a man with a tired face, was shocked, "Are you really alive?" He was obviously surprised by the arrival of Irene and Fallon, and there was a hint of joy in his eyes.

Alicia suddenly became alert, "Who are you? No one else here can survive!"

Fallon stepped forward, trying to make his voice sound steady, "We come from different trial areas, but we are also trapped here. We hope to find a way out together."

Another man walked a few steps closer and looked at them carefully, his eyes full of suspicion and vigilance. "Can you prove it? We can't just trust others."

Irene shook her head slightly. "But every second is crucial right now. If we don't act now, we might lose this opportunity."

Professor Feng's students looked at each other, as if they were weighing whether to trust him or not. "Can we talk first? Find some ways to cooperate." The mature and steady man finally spoke, his attitude slightly softened.

"Of course." Erin nodded, secretly grateful for Fallon's persistence. "We can share the information we know, and maybe we can find some clues."

Alicia still looked nervous, as if she was thinking alone. Finally, she turned around and looked at everyone, "We will split into two teams, one team will be responsible for exploration, and the other team will stay here to look for clues and wait for news."
