The Urban Dao Child

Dao Yin did not hesitate and charged ahead with the sword. The opponent took out a spear and countered. While Yang Dao stood beside the half-stone statue lady. She was particularly freaked out.

Yang Dao smiled and said, "Do not worry, as soon as Yin is finished dealing with that guy, I will release you, you can go and take care of him."

The lady replied in a yell, "Who do you think you are? How dare you hold me hostage?"

Yin replied while parrying and countering a spear thrust at her, "He might die."

Yang Dao chuckled and said, "Do not worry, just some broken bones, try not to aim for his dantian and the soul sea, rest will be curable. We are alchemists, did you forget."

Dao Yin stopped and chuckled in response. The person attacking her was pissed off, he was in doubt, to think this delicate-looking girl was able to beat him black and blue in such a short time and that too while talking. He was enraged and began to fight even harder.

Noticing the clatter, the elders rushed over and were about to intervene when Zen waved her hand. Her designation might be that of the caretaker but they were all aware that Zen was as powerful as the chief instructor.

She said with her trademark smile, "Oh, let them be, some people needed to see what their real place is."

Xerxes happened to be among the elders, he coughed and said, "These two are masters at showing people their place."

Yang Dao caught his words and turned to look at him with a smile as if he was some old friend of theirs. The young man said, "Oh, Envoy Xerxes, care to spar? Last time it was at the peak of the nascent soul realm, this time we can surely do it at a higher realm. You see, Yin is warmed up as well."

Before anyone can reply, Dao Yin said, "I have not warmed up, Yang."

Yang Dao held his chin and said, "Fire and wind combined is lightning, water and earth is wood, fire and earth is metal, water and wind is snow, wind and earth is sand. We have eight."

Dao Yin suddenly gained the wisdom of a saint and said, "Combining the parts of the sword art."

Then her sword skills changed. She combined the fire and wind style and said, "Look, the lightning sword."

Dao Yin took back her sword and came to Yang Dao, she looked at the stone lady, who gave her a stiff smile, and asked, "Why did you go easy on her?"

Yang Dao smiled and said, "I wanted to stop her and needed her to be quiet. Your skills did the latter while I did the first. Balance and cooperation."

His look was extremely doting as if his eyes were going to drip with nector. Dao Yin blushed and punched his shoulder gently as she said, "You sly."

The two people held hands and after waving to Zen, they went to the cottage.

The three began to discuss Yang Dao and Dao Yin, while in a different part of the Heavenly Dao Palace, four ladies sat with bitter faces.

Kiya said, "You Sly."

The other three ladies were also sour but looking at her expression they could not help but laugh. They did not really know what to say about the scene in front of them, but this was truly a priceless moment. Kiya imitated Dao Yin.

Yang Dao and Dao Yin sat facing each other inside the meditation area of the new housing and they sat holding hands. To reach the realm of true immortals, they needed to work together.

Their cultivation sutra's needed them to focus and understand the sutras. From now on, Yang Dao will be cultivating the Yin part of the Great Dao Sutra, and vice versa. This was to make it so that he understands Yin as well as the Yang of his existence.

The world was made of Yin and Yang, they both needed to understand this. Only those who understand what they are and what they needed to balance, will achieve True Immortality.

Thus the two began to comprehend. The more they understood, the more surprised they were. They did not only gain the new knowledge, but the contrast of things helped them understand the previous sutra even more deeply.

Laohu Bai was sitting in the highest watchtower of the palace, watching the two children from distance, when suddenly, Zen appeared behind her. She asked, "What happened?"

Zen did not say anything and began laughing out loud. She asked, "Did you not see them acting all lovey-dovey?"

Laohu Bai shook her head and the former relayed everything to her. Laohu Bai could not help but break out in a burst of thunderous laughter. They did not expect the two dao children to be so coy and black-bellied.

Laohu Bai said, "You know, when I first met the young master, he was pissed and he did not calm down until he had beaten me up."

Zen opened her eyes in shock, "Don't tell me he beat you from the get-go?"

Laohu Bai nodded and said, "We did not use any powers, but him being the Dao Child, picked up on the martial skills quickly, and using the efficient technique, he floored me. He was so uptight around me."

Zen smiled and said, "That does not seem to be the case now."

Laohu Bai then went on to tell Zen about how Yang Dao took her on a ride and being a mortal bodied, she was scared witless.

The two ladies were gossiping when suddenly, they sensed a strong fluctuation from the distance. Turning their heads, they located the fluctuation to be exploding from the cottage of the dao couple.

Laohu Bai said, "The speed of their growth always shocks me speechless."

Zen nodded.

Yang Dao was glowing silver, while Dao Yin was glowing golden. The two were going to step on the first step to the realm of true immortals. They were going to change their bones from calcium and ivory to jade. It was not something they were going to do but has been happening over the past few days.

Their bones were etched with the symbols of the language of Dao, but the things they learned today gave them another set of runes. These symbols changed their bones to jade. If someone was to look inside the cottage they will be able to see a strong glow radiating from the two people and even more, they will be able to see the slowly changing skin of the couple as well.
