Myriad Paths

Chapter 530 The Foundation of Xitian (card review last night)

Li Qi believes that these mortals are born in a muddle-headed manner, and then die in a muddle-headed manner, and their whole lives are over. This is also Li Qi's view. After a person dies, he is truly dead, and reincarnation is no longer the same person as before. This is also Li Qi's view. According to the opinion of most shamans, when Li Qi first read the book "Zhu", they said that the ghost was no longer the original person, but another composition, but it just had the same memory.

So he didn't turn around for a while.

But his ability to understand is still very strong. After Sakyamuni Drapa reminded him, he immediately realized something.

Buddhism does not believe that death is the end.

They believe that life is a continuous reincarnation, and you are still yourself after reincarnation.

so……

These people, these things, and these constantly reborn lives are actually just a fleeting moment in their long lives, a very short moment.

Li Qi suddenly realized where Buddhism's 'compassion' came from.

In this Western Heaven, everyone... no, all life, including those cattle and sheep, including those tenacious grasses, are essentially the same.

Under the gaze of the Buddha, all lives are equal, and all existences are treated equally. Their current forms are only temporary. They will continue to learn, continue to try, and continue to have new lives in the endless reincarnation. .

After endless attempts, one day they will finally have enlightenment and realize that they are in reincarnation and keep their memories in every life.

And then continue, they will eventually achieve 'results', obtain the first fruit, that is, reach the 'Sotapanna stage', temporarily escape from reincarnation, gain immortality, and truly embark on the path of spiritual practice!

Therefore, the suffering of these mortals is only temporary. They will most likely turn into cattle, sheep, or vegetation, or even monsters in their next life, but it doesn't matter.

These changes are temporary, just a short-term component of the endless reincarnation. One life is not important at all. As the reincarnation progresses, they will make little progress and finally step into the door of practice.

All of this is just for enlightenment and enlightenment.

"What is enlightenment?" Sakyamuni Drapa said: "Recognize the reality of the world, see clearly the illusion of this moment, awaken the wisdom of past lives, and integrate the memories of countless reincarnations. Cows, sheep, cats and dogs are you, insects and butterflies are you. , the trees and weeds are you, the demons and evildoers are you, the men, women, and children are you, the slaves and slaves are you, the princes and generals are you, the wise and wise men are you, and you are the ultimate enlightened one.”

"All living beings are equal, and all living beings are you."

"To have such a gift come to everyone in the West, senior, isn't this considered 'compassion'? If this cannot be considered 'compassion', then there are still other measures in this world that can be called 'compassion' ?"

Following Sakyamuni Draba's rhetorical question, Li Qi took a deep breath, and then looked outside at the countless mortals and living beings who were working at sunrise and taking rest at sunset.

After being explained by a real Buddhist practitioner, he truly realized the works of the Buddhas.

Worthy of being a first-class product, this is truly a big deal!

Li Qi could fully imagine the advantages that such enlightened people, or those with 'first attainment', would have.

The Six Paths of Reincarnation combines the memories of all reincarnations to create an 'enlightened consciousness'. Practitioners born through such a set of processes are naturally adapted to immortality.

Because they themselves are a combination of countless reincarnations, they can easily control long lives, and have vision and wisdom beyond ordinary people.

This ordinary person refers to the other seven grades.

For example, Li Qi is only about a hundred years old now. In terms of vision, he is probably not as good as the seventh-grade people who have grown up like this. No wonder Monk Zenzhi is so strong and can defeat all the seventh-grade people in Guangyang with one against three. , even the landscape formation can be forcibly suppressed.

It's all for a reason.

"Indeed, Buddhism... has something." Li Qi nodded: "You are right, and it has opened my eyes. Then... I have another question. Are people like you called ' Jugu’, right?”

Sakyamuni Zapa clasped his hands together and immediately replied guiltily: "That's true, but this name is just nonsense. It cannot be taken seriously. Now that we can't even open our consciousness, how can we call him Buddha? It's just the praise of ordinary people. "

Li Qi waved his hand and didn't care about this, but asked: "Let's not talk about the name. According to your statement, 'Zhu Gu', that is to say, you were also a practitioner in your previous life?"

Sakyamuni Drapa nodded: "Yes, in reincarnation, each life must be better than the last. In my previous life, I embarked on the path of spiritual practice and achieved the ninth level. I was able to retain part of my memory. Before I died, I designated my location and asked the temple to find me. The reincarnation is the body I am using now."

"As our cultivation level improves, we will have more and more contact with our own wisdom. Now I can see my previous ten lives, and I can also vaguely perceive where my next life will be. It can point out the location of the reincarnation, making it easier for others to find themselves.”

"With the improvement of cultivation level, memories of past lives are awakened... In other words, the mystery of the womb is not difficult for you, right?" Li Qi asked.

This thing is amazing.

As we all know, even many powerful people are unable to penetrate the mystery in the womb, resulting in memory loss and the inability to practice again after reincarnation.

As for Buddhism, can these people of the ninth grade be able to see through some of the mysteries in the womb?

Sakyamuni Drapa explained: "This is the meaning of enlightenment. What is confusion? It means that the eyes are chaotic and unclear. The so-called confusion in the womb and the mystery of the five aggregates are all like this. The so-called enlightenment is Open the eye consciousness, ear consciousness, nose consciousness, tongue consciousness, body consciousness, consciousness, mana consciousness and alaya consciousness.”

"Among them, the eyes, ears, mouth and tongue are the five consciousnesses, which represent the basic sense of touch. If you open these true consciousnesses, you can see through the illusion and see the true Dharma. Manas consciousness is like your original nature. If you open the manas consciousness, you can see the true self. "The me in the past life, the me in this life, and the me in the next life are all my true self. If I can see my true self, what difference does it make in which life?"

"As for Alaya Consciousness...Senior, please forgive me for being stupid, I have never opened it myself, so how can I describe it to Senior?"

After listening to this, Li Qi did not force him, but praised him and asked at the same time: "Buddhist methods are indeed wonderful, so you will only make progress and not regress?"

Hearing this question, Sakyamuni Drapa shook his head: "How is it possible? If you are stuck in reincarnation, countless confusions, and countless pains, if you cannot see through it and fall into a certain life, then you are obsessed with appearances and cannot recognize your true self. , and naturally it has regressed.”

"Actually, many of my fellow monks are like this. They fall into the illusion of this life. They think that the past life is unreliable and the next life is unreliable. They focus on the enjoyment of this life and waste their practice. It is a pity."

"I see." Li Qi nodded, finally understanding the reason for the current situation in Xitian.

Indeed...magical.

Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are really powerful. Although Li Qi still thinks that people die when they die, and the new ones are no longer the original selves, but Buddhism obviously has another view on 'self'.

Just like Li Qi's answer of "I am who I am", Buddhism is always faced with the intrusion of demons, so any Buddhist practitioner will think about "I am who I am" from the beginning.

And this is their answer.

In their view, reincarnation is the constant transformation of the self. Except for the 'true nature', everything else is false and not the true self.

The relatives, feelings, memories, fame, and wealth in this life are all fleeting. It is very likely that in the next reincarnation, there will be other relatives, other memories, other feelings, and other wealth.

Therefore, there is no need to stick to the current suffering, do not care about the current pain, and do not enjoy the present happiness and indulge in the momentary joy.

Because these are all 'empty', all 'nothing', all fleeting, all unreal. With the reincarnation of one life after another, these will disappear and be gained. For the 'true nature', this is continuous Something like a dream.

Everything is like a dream, like a shadow in a bubble, like mist, as unpredictable and ever-changing. At the same time, it changes as fast as lightning, so you must maintain your true nature, use your true nature to maintain yourself all the time, look at everything in this world indifferently, don't be attached to it, and don't be bound by these things to your true nature. '.

"All conditioned dharmas are like bubbles in a dream. They are like dew or lightning. They should be viewed in this way." Li Qi clasped his hands together and recited a Buddhist sutra to Sakyamuni Draba.

This was what he realized after listening to the other party's story. At this moment, the Buddhist scriptures Li Qi had read were integrated with what was happening in the real world.

Everything in this world, life and death again and again, are gifts from the Buddhas to the sentient beings in the West. In this reincarnation, they can experience life again and again, and finally reach enlightenment.

This is the compassion of Buddha.

It is not about giving pleasure or material enjoyment, but giving them the opportunity to truly realize themselves. The suffering and backwardness at the moment are not important at all. They are just passing clouds. They must be able to break through it all and finally reach enlightenment. If you reach this state, you can escape from this cycle of reincarnation and truly embark on the path of spiritual practice.

Thinking about it, considering the current situation of Buddhism, I am afraid that only by recognizing the true nature at the seventh level from the beginning can we be able to resist the erosion of the demons, right?

Upon hearing Li Qi reciting Buddhist scriptures, Sakyamuni Drapa immediately returned the greeting and recited the Buddha's name to Li Qi: "Namo Vairocana Buddha."

"Thank you, little master, for clarifying my doubts. I don't know what else the little master needs. Just bring it up and consider it as my reward." Li Qi smiled and said to Sakyamuni Draba.

I have indeed benefited a lot. Sure enough, there are some things that cannot be seen in books, and you have to experience them in person.

Sakyamuni Drapa replied: "Since the seniors have said this, the young monk will be disrespectful. Then I will form a good karma with the seniors."

"Oh? What good cause?" Li Qi was puzzled.

"What we meet today is a good cause." Shakya Drapa replied: "Maybe thousands of years later, it will still produce good results?"

"Haha, that's it, Sakyamuni Draba. My name is Li Qi. I come from the Witch God Mountain. If you are not fascinated by reincarnation, you may actually be able to bear good fruits." Li Qi laughed and walked out. Entered the room and closed the door.

The conversation with this young monk was valuable, but now that the doubts in his mind were cleared, it was time for him to set off again.

Flying through the world again and seeing those mortals living their own lives, Li Qi couldn't help but start to guess...

When will they think of today or past reincarnations?

Of course, to Li Qi, it was not very important.

According to him, you only live once.

Can endless reincarnation really guarantee ‘authenticity’?

The "I am who I am" that Li Qizhi recognized is essentially the connection of cause and effect. It is the self that is composed of countless causes and effects in life.

If he can ensure that this connection continues to be maintained, then whether it is reincarnation or amnesia, it is still him.

But reincarnation... that means grinding people up, mixing them with other people, and then throwing them out.

Maybe you can say that you have retained most of it once or twice, but a little bit less each time. After thousands of times, can you really still say... is it still you?

Li Qi didn't dare to say.

However, Buddhism dares to say so.

Well... everyone has their own opinions. You can't say that others are wrong. If you have to say that others are wrong, then it is a moral dispute.

Relentless.

Li Qi understood why Xitian was like this, so he no longer felt strange about everything he met on the road.

With a normal mind, he began to understand the various customs and customs along the way.

The place he passed by was the Mojie Chao Kingdom. This place was different from the rocky desert he came from. The land was fertile and there were different kinds of rice. The grains were large, the fragrance was special, and the light color was special. This place was called rice for adults. .

With enough food, this place values learning and respects Buddhism. Li Qi passed through more than 50 garam monasteries here and had more than 100,000 monks. Li Qi also met the seventh-level monks who had obtained the "first fruit" here. .

After leaving here, Li Qi continued to move forward. After walking thousands of miles, he saw many people paying homage to a ruins, including many cultivators and even the same sixth grade as him.

Li Qi was curious and went to visit him, and found that the ruins were called the "Tathagata Footprint Stone". Not far from the Stupa Wave, there was a large stone with two footprints on it. It was said that the Tathagata had walked on it. The two footprints were still there, and their length was The ruler has eight inches, and the width is six inches.

The two footprints both have the appearance of a wheel, and the ten fingers are all patterned, with fish shapes reflecting them, and the light always shines.

Li Qi, like other tourists, looked at it and learned nothing.

Three thousand miles further ahead, there is Molaye Mountain, in which there are white sandalwood trees and sandalwood trees, which are white sandalwood trees. Among them are fragrant, shaped like mica, and colored like ice and snow. This so-called dipterocarp incense is used in concentration. The effect was miraculous: there was a big snake hanging around the trees, it could speak human words, and it was said that it could do divination, but it could only speak the local dialect. Li Qi failed to communicate and left.

After traveling another seven thousand miles, we arrived at the Sinhala Kingdom, which was extremely luxurious. The king believed in Buddhism and filled the Buddha statues with perfumed and fragrant trees, washed them or burned them, and made offerings to them in a very rare and precious way.

The Buddha statue is a hundred feet high, decorated with pearls and rare treasures. The precious light shines brightly day and night, and looks like a star from a distance.

Li Qiyuan looked far away and saw a beggar under the Buddha statue. He shook his head and left.
