The most powerful wizard in the magic world

Chapter 224 Unable to Complete the Plan

The black and red cover exuded a strange aura in the dim light. He stared at the strange symbols on the pages and felt a surge of uneasiness.

"These letters don't look like ordinary words at all." Kelly came closer and looked at the notebook in Gerling's hand. "Do you recognize what they are?"

"I think these should be the words of the Abyss." Gerlin's voice was low and unusually serious. "I heard that only magicians who have a connection with the Abyss can use these words. Once the Abyss is involved, it means that things will become complicated."

"Abyss! Could they be related to the demons brought by the abyss?" Kelly was shocked, but her desire to know the truth made her unable to resist getting closer. "I have seen some records about the abyss, which contain all kinds of terrible creatures and magic."

"Indeed." Gerling nodded and immediately took out the chip he carried with him. "I need to compare the database to see if I can decipher these symbols." He inserted the chip into a portable terminal. The interface flashed a faint light and data flowed rapidly in the system.

"Data matching..." The progress bar on the screen moved forward quietly. After a few seconds, the terminal issued a soft prompt tone, "Matching completed, the similarity of the Abyss text is 98.7%."

"98.7%? That's a pretty high similarity!" Kelly's face showed surprise. She realized that if she could decipher the contents of this notebook, she might be able to uncover the enemy's secrets. "This means..."

"The power of the abyss has not completely disappeared. They may still be performing some kind of ritual." Gerling said in a deep voice, vaguely feeling a heavy sense of responsibility. He clenched the notebook in his hands with both hands and deliberately remained calm. "We must take this information back and report to the headquarters."

"We can't stay here for long. The enemy may have noticed our movements." Eagle stared around nervously, his eyes constantly moving between the shadows. "We have to find a safe place immediately."

"Yes, don't let the enemy find us!" Gellin nodded gracefully. The atmosphere he was immersed in was no longer the joyful division of spoils, but the urgent need for strategy and response. "Kelly, you continue to read these words. I will extract the data onto the chip. Eagle, be responsible for monitoring the surroundings. Call us immediately if you find any movement."

Kelly nodded seriously and focused on the contents of the notebook, trying to decipher the words. Garlin quickly operated the terminal, and the sound of data flow echoed around, bringing a sense of urgency and tension.

"These symbols seem to record some kind of spell," Kelly suddenly said, her finger pausing on a particular chapter. "This mentions... 'summoning and sealing'. Could it be that they intend to use the power of the abyss to perform some kind of ritual?"

"If this is the case, we must not let them succeed." Gerling raised his voice, his eyes burning with determination. "This concerns the safety of the entire region. We must stop their plan immediately."

"So what should we do next?" Eagle asked nervously, his expression full of anxiety. He clenched his fists, as if he was ready to take action.

"I will transmit this data to the headquarters to obtain more information before we come into contact with the enemy." Gerling responded in a firm tone, "Kelly, you find out the specific content of those spells and try to understand their purpose."

As time went by, Gellin extracted data from the chip, and the pressure in his heart became heavier. He was fully aware of the horror that the abyss would bring. If such power got out of control, the consequences would be disastrous.

"I seem to be able to sense a dark aura approaching." Kelly whispered, frowning slightly, as if she had touched upon the fear deep in her heart while translating. "There is an ancient power hidden in these spells."

"We can't let this go on." Gerling responded firmly, his eyes gleaming. He was as firm as a rock, ready to face the next crisis. "The safety of the team and this land are in our hands."

"I found a more detailed description." Kelly said excitedly, "They mentioned that they would perform a ritual of 'summoning the undead', as if they could revive a powerful being."

Resurrecting creatures from the abyss is undoubtedly a dangerous concept. Gerlin felt a chill running down his spine, and he gritted his teeth, determined not to let the enemy succeed. "We must interrupt them! If this ritual succeeds, the consequences will be even more serious."

"But where exactly will it be carried out?" Eagle asked hurriedly, already feeling the pressure of making a quick decision.

"I think the information in this notebook may point the way." Gerling moved his posture and eagerly flipped through the notes, "Keep searching!" As he delved deeper into the text, he gradually realized that the enemy might have been prepared for all this.

Kelly was eager to try while interpreting the complex Abyssal text, and said casually: "The power of these Abyssal spells can distort everything, and perhaps even change the current situation of the battle. They actually dared to try such a forbidden technique, which is really crazy."

"This is a formidable opponent. We must be careful." Gerling showed a trace of admiration and vigilance. "The enemy is so obsessed with the abyss. He must have some unknown purpose. It's a pity that we don't have more time to speculate."

"The most important thing now is to bring the information back and report it to the headquarters." Eagle said seriously, always alert to the movements around him, "Don't forget, the enemy may be waiting for our next move."

Gelling's expression was serious, and he nodded deeply. His sense of responsibility for the team made him feel pressured, and he knew that constant vigilance and quick response were the key to their successful escape.

"Yes, transfer the information quickly." Kelly watched Gerling's actions, looking forward to the network recovery. At this moment, she also made up her mind not to let any enemy have a chance to recover.

"Transmission completed." Gerling breathed a sigh of relief. The data on the terminal screen relieved him from his tension. "The command center will handle it in a timely manner. I just hope they can find a more effective solution."

"Okay, let's retreat and seize more strategic assets!" Kelly said excitedly, revealing a hint of excitement. "We must stop the enemy and prevent them from completing their plan!"
