In the cold dusk, the female apprentice was furious and filled with anger. She tightly gripped the hilt of the sword in her hand, her angry eyes flickered in the darkness, revealing a hint of murderous intent. "I will never let Gerlin go!" She muttered in a low voice, with a tone of unquestionable firmness.

Soran half-crouched on the ground, carefully observing the surrounding environment. He used grass stalks as a detection tool, trying to find the whereabouts of Gerlin. Suddenly, his eyes moved, as if he caught a faint movement in a certain direction. "Over there!" He pointed to the front, his voice low and rapid, "I saw him."

The female apprentice's heart was shocked, and then the flame of anger ignited again. "Go!" She almost shouted the order, and ran towards the direction pointed by Soran without hesitation. They passed through the sparse woods, and the rustling of weeds was particularly harsh in the night.

"Do you know where he is?" the female apprentice asked as she ran, her heart filled with anxiety and urgency.

"Some signs indicate that he fled westward." Soran said as he tried to maintain his speed, but he was aware of Gerlin's cunning. "Be careful, he may have set a trap."

"I won't back down!" The female apprentice said in an uncompromising tone, and then added, "Today, either you take revenge or die here!"

The shadows of the trees ahead were swaying. It was probably that Gerlin was hiding in some dark place. Anxiety and tension intertwined in the female apprentice's heart. After thinking it over again and again, she finally decided: "We need to act separately to disrupt his sight. You move closer to my position. When I get close, I will use a signal to let you come out."

"This is too risky." Soran tried to dissuade her, but seeing her resolute look, he finally sighed and said, "Okay, I'll support you nearby."

They trusted each other's tacit understanding deeply, and although they were unwilling to take risks, they still acted separately. The female apprentice followed the disappearing footsteps and sneaked into the chaotic shadows, her heart beating like a tide, and the sound of the wind in her ears seemed to carry Gellin's sighs and laughter.

Finally, she found a hidden trench, which seemed to reveal an unspeakable mystery in the darkness. She approached it carefully and found that it was a perfect hiding place. Gerling was hiding beside the gray tree roots with a sinister smile on his face.

"Gerlin!" Her voice cut through the night sky like a knife.

Gerlin raised his head suddenly, a trace of surprise flashed in his eyes, and then he smiled evilly. "You actually found me?" He stood up slowly, shaking the weapon in his hand menacingly.

"Do you think I will let you go?" The female apprentice gnashed her teeth, the sword was already unsheathed, the tip of the sword pointed directly at Gerlin's heart. "For all the things I have lost!"

"Lost things?" Gerlin sneered, "You are just an ignorant apprentice who knows nothing, just like an impulsive beast! Do you think you can kill me with this sword?"

"Give it a try!" The furious female apprentice did not flinch, but rushed forward with the sword flashing, and went straight forward.

Gellin dodged and struck back at the same time, the blade of the sword cutting through the air, bringing with it a sharp whistling sound. The two fought fiercely, the sword flashed, sparks flew, and layers of dust flew in the night.

"You are such a fool," Gerlin approached her and said with a sneer, "Do you really think you can hurt me? Your swordsmanship is nothing but castles in the air!"

"I will make you regret this!" the female apprentice roared, and her sword suddenly became more powerful, almost approaching Gerlin's face. She was extremely determined in her heart and would never let her enemy get away with anything.

At this moment, Soran finally approached quietly. He rushed over from the side, and the sword light drew a bright arc in the night. "Female apprentice, pay attention!" He shouted, his voice full of urgency.

Seeing that the situation was not good, Gerlin reacted quickly and twisted his body to avoid Soran's attack. The two of them attacked together and surrounded Gerlin. But he looked smug, as if he had expected all this. "Do you think you can catch me like this?"

"You have no way to escape today!" The female apprentice snorted unceremoniously, and the tip of the sword drew a fierce arc in the air.

At this moment, a dark ball suddenly flew out of Gerlin's hand and exploded instantly, filling the air with smoke and a pungent smell. The female apprentice and Soran were forced to retreat, their eyes stinging and their vision blurred, as if they were in a nightmare.

"It's ridiculous!" Gelling's voice echoed in the smoke, "You actually believe you can stop me!"

“Don’t let him get away!” Soran gritted his teeth and tried to chase after him in the smoke, but he could no longer see the surrounding situation clearly.

The female apprentice was anxious. She tried to suppress her fear and roared with all her might: "Gerlin, you won't succeed! I will fight for my past!"

As she roared, the smoke cleared slightly, and Gerlin's figure gradually disappeared. She felt grief and indignation in her heart, and she could not let the evil wolf escape.

"Spread out and look for him!" She shouted to Soran, her eyes fixed on the surroundings, trying to catch the slightest movement. Even in this chaos, she still believed that she would fight with Gerlin in the end.

Soran nodded, knowing the lesson, and began to search around. But as time went by and the fog gradually dissipated, they could no longer see Gerlin, and they became anxious.

"This way!" The female apprentice suddenly realized that the path below was leading to a deeper forest. She cried out in her heart, recalling the past, and made up her mind. "He will definitely not go far!"

Soran followed in one breath, "This road is the right one!" They moved forward quickly. Although they felt the danger ahead, they were not afraid at all.

As they continued to chase, they finally found Gellin's vicious laughter again. There seemed to be a deeper conspiracy hidden in the bushes in front of them, and his figure was lurking in the shadows.
