Hogwarts's Master of Mind

Chapter 53 Honors and Dinner

Aiden returned to the Burrow after a great flight.

The flying experience of Dragon Wing is excellent. From another perspective, the fact that Aiden can never ride a flying broom well may be related to dragon blood.

On the other hand, the Ministry of Magic, which had been procrastinating, finally approved Aiden's nomination and submitted it to the Wizengamot for review.

Over at the Wizengamot, not to mention Dumbledore's influence, all the masters that Aiden had made friends with since the last seminar had witnessed Aiden's spells.

Therefore, the Wizengamot quickly passed the motion and decided to award Aiden the Order of Merlin, Second Class.

The decision was made in the morning and the ceremony was scheduled to be held in the afternoon. After all, the Wizengamot is not an administrative agency.

Moreover, it is extremely difficult to gather all these elusive masters at one time.

When the news reached Aiden, he was still enjoying lunch at the Weasleys'.

The Wizengamot's owl crashed into the dining table with the letter, making a mess of it.

Aiden opened the letter and informed his family.

"Oh my Merlin, Aiden, you are going to be awarded the Order of Merlin." Ron shouted.

"Hurry, prepare the dress, and I will dress you up nicely later." This is Mrs. Molly.

"Okay, don't worry, aunt. I had already arranged for Sen Sen to make preparations yesterday. You were just curious about when it would be used." Aiden wiped his mouth slowly.

"Sen Sen." Aiden snapped his fingers and the house-elf appeared in front of everyone.

Sen Sen's fingers swept through the air, and seven suits appeared on the chairs of the Weasley family.

"Okay, aunt, may I have the honor to invite your family to participate in my award ceremony?"

Aiden saluted like a gentleman.

"Of course." *7

In the afternoon, the Weasley family and Aiden came to the Wizengamot's award ceremony.

Fudge was directing people to set up the ceremony stage below the stage. After Aiden escorted the Weasley family to the audience seats, he also entered the venue.

Seeing Aiden coming, Fudge's eyes flashed and he rushed over.

"Oh, Aiden, long time no see."

"Hello, Minister Fudge, I am honored to be nominated by the Ministry of Magic."

Aiden gave a polite smile.

"By the way, Aiden, have you ever considered working at the Ministry of Magic after graduation?" Fudge continued to persuade him.

"Oh, the Ministry of Magic, that's a good place, but it's still too far away for me now. But I will consider it carefully." Aiden blinked at Fudge.

"Okay, I believe you will join us. After all, we are the best Ministry of Magic." Fudge seemed very confident.

After a while, the guests who were watching the ceremony had all arrived and the awarding ceremony was about to begin.

The hall was brightly lit, and the portraits of magicians from past dynasties on the walls seemed to be watching this moment solemnly.

Aiden, dressed in an elegant silver robe, slowly walked out of the door.

When the ceremony began, Dumbledore walked slowly towards the central platform holding an ancient ceremonial staff.

His voice echoed throughout the hall, empowered by magic, and every word was full of power and respect.

“Today, we gather here to witness Mr. Prewett’s contribution to the cause of magic.

Two months ago, the spell studied by Mr. Prewett - the Silence Ban, successfully dispelled the shadow of the Imperius Curse for us.

He has opened up a whole new path for wizards to explore the spiritual realm. For this, the Wizengamot decided to award Mr. Prewett the Order of Merlin, Second Class."

Then, Dumbledore slowly handed Aiden the Order of Merlin, a golden medal with Merlin's head carved on it. The head of Merlin on the medal was lifelike, as if he would tell the ancient magic legend at any time.

After the ceremony, the Ministry of Magic held a dinner for the masters who came from afar.

"Professor, what do you think the Ministry of Magic is up to?"

Aiden took his drink and approached Dumbledore to talk to him.

"Of course it's for you."

Dumbledore raised his goblet and clinked it with Aiden's.

"We, pure blood? That's a good plan. What about you? Are you just going to watch?"

"As an old man, what can I do? What kind of person can I be? What kind of path can I take? It's all their own choice, isn't it?"

Aiden gave Dumbledore a disdainful look.

"Just pretend."

At the dinner, various masters gathered in a small circle and shared their research experiences over the past period of time.

The members of the wizarding family walked among the masters with wine in their hands, hoping to leave a good impression on them.

As the focus of the dinner, Aiden had already dealt with dozens of rounds of clinking glasses. Fortunately, he had a drink, otherwise he would have been hungover.

Finally, Aiden couldn't stand it anymore and used psychological invisibility and hid quietly.

"Wow, you're good at this. You've gained something new since we last separated."

The person who came was Miranda Goshawk, and she scared Aiden when she spoke.

"Ms. Goshak? How...how did you find me?" Aiden was a little curious.

"Your magic is close to perfection. It hides in the blind spot of consciousness. It's a good idea, but for powerful wizards, their intuition is sometimes unreasonable."

The old lady pointed out Aiden's shortcomings casually, but she seemed happy for him.

"Intuition? It seems I still need to combine magic to improve it in the future." Aiden smiled bitterly.

"Magic is unreasonable, otherwise there wouldn't be people like you." Miranda Goshawk teased.

"Oh, am I disturbing you?" Dumbledore also interrupted.

'Another one, huh?' Aiden rolled his eyes.

Dumbledore seemed to see what Aiden was thinking and made a joke.

"Ms. Goshak has already walked a long way on the spiritual path. The reason I was able to discover it was only because you were communicating. I noticed you through Ms. Goshak."

Then he said, "This is the head of the Greengrass family—Arsenault Greengrass."

Aiden looked at the somewhat arrogant man in front of him.

"Hello, Mr. Prewett, may I have a moment with you?"

Arsenault Greengrass extended an invitation to Aiden.

"Okay, it looks like our conversation will have to end here. My apologies, Ms. Goshawk."

Aiden turned to Ms. Goshawk and expressed his apologies.

"Go ahead and don't bother with an old lady like me."

Ms. Goshawk waved at Aiden.

The two walked to a hidden corner, and Aiden spoke first.

"May I ask what I may do for you, Mr. Greengrass?"

"It's really hard to talk about family scandals, Mr. Prewett, do you know about the family curse?" Arsenault was a little nervous.

"Yes, I know. It's a vicious curse. So someone in your family has been cursed?"

Aiden nodded and raised his question.

"It wasn't cast. It was passed down from my ancestors. I thought the curse had faded, so I was careless in my protection, which led to my two daughters being cursed."

Arsenault wiped the sweat from his forehead.

"So, you think my spell can break the curse?" Aiden raised an eyebrow.

"We have tried it. I cast this spell on my daughter and the curse was partially dispelled, but it was not eradicated."

Arsenault told the whole truth.
