Hogwarts Lion Girl
Chapter 222: Seamus's Doubt
When Salina and Harry returned to the common room, the atmosphere was extremely heavy and the air was filled with the smell of gunpowder.
As soon as they sat down, Seamus jumped up from the armchair, rushed to Harry, pointed at his nose and said loudly: "You are lying! Voldemort has not come back at all! My mother almost didn't let me come to Hogwarts because she believed those false reports!"
Harry frowned and said coldly: "I am not lying, Voldemort is indeed back."
Seamus became even more excited. His face flushed and he asked aggressively, "Then explain it to me! What evidence do you have to prove that Voldemort is back?"
Seamus's behavior completely infuriated Harry. He stood up suddenly and shouted, "I've already told you, believe it or not!"
"Are you calling my mother a fool?!" Seamus was furious and pulled out his wand.
"I didn't!" Harry also drew his wand and pointed it at Seamus.
The two men were on the verge of a fight.
The other Gryffindor students also took sides, some supported Harry, some believed what Seamus' mother said, and the entire common room was in chaos.
Neville stood anxiously beside Harry and whispered, "I believe you, Harry."
Dean on the side also nodded and agreed: "I believe it too."
At this time, Hermione quickly walked between the two and shouted sternly: "Stop it! It's night time now, go back to the dormitory and sleep!"
……
As night fell, Harry lay down on the bed tiredly, but couldn't fall asleep for a long time.
In a daze, he fell into a strange dream.
In his dream, he was in a dark forest, surrounded by towering trees, whose branches were intertwined like black claws, blocking out the sky.
He felt someone was chasing him, and when he turned around, he saw several wizards in black robes whose faces could not be seen. They were waving their wands in their hands, muttering something, and casting vicious spells at him.
He ran desperately, but could not escape from the forest. Fear and despair entangled him like vines.
Suddenly, his feet were empty and he fell into a bottomless abyss.
As he fell, he saw strange magic symbols emerging from the darkness around him. They flashed eerie lights, as if mocking his helplessness.
He woke up suddenly and found himself lying on the bed in the dormitory, soaked in cold sweat.
He was worried that this was the influence of Voldemort, and was also worried that he would be attacked by dark wizards. His heart was filled with anxiety and fear.
The next morning, Harry appeared at the Gryffindor table with dark circles under his eyes.
He looked pale and tired. He didn't eat much for breakfast. He just mechanically stirred the cereal porridge in the bowl with a spoon.
Ron asked with concern: "Harry, are you okay? Didn't you sleep well last night?"
Harry sighed and whispered, "I had a nightmare. A terrible nightmare."
He told Ron and Hermione about the thrilling chase and fall into the abyss in his dream.
After listening to this, Salina said seriously, "Maybe Voldemort is trying to influence you through the connection between you, or maybe your subconscious is giving you a warning."
Hermione put down the book in her hand and said thoughtfully: "Perhaps we can go to the library to check the relevant books to see if there are similar records."
Ron clenched his fists and said firmly: "We must practice magical defense more. Only in this way can we protect ourselves and fight against Voldemort!"
Hermione nodded in agreement, but she immediately added: "I think we should also work hard to promote unity within Gryffindor and between the houses. We can use the status of the Student Union and the prefects to start with the first-year students and instill in them the concept of unity."
Ron agreed with this and added: "We can first unite some people, improve our strength, and form an organization similar to 'Dumbledore's Army'."
……
What happened in the Gryffindor common room was now known to the whole school.
Harry has been in a bad mood because of Seamus's incident. He always feels that students from other colleges are pointing fingers at him when he walks on the street. There is also a split within Gryffindor, and many classmates begin to avoid him.
After Wood graduated, Angelina Johnson became the new captain of the Gryffindor Quidditch team.
That day, Angelina announced on the Quidditch field that there would be a goalkeeper selection next week, and specially invited Harry to participate.
Colin Creevey in the crowd asked loudly if he could go to watch the trials. Angelina smiled and nodded in agreement, and encouraged him to sign up.
Before that, Salina and the others had Umbridge's Defense Against the Dark Arts class.
Umbridge, in a high-pitched voice, demanded strict classroom etiquette, ordering them to put away their wands and take out their quills and parchment.
Then she wrote "Defense Against the Dark Arts Back to Basics" in fancy calligraphy on the blackboard.
Umbridge used a condescending tone to belittle the courses they had studied in the previous three years, saying that they were unrealistic.
The students had different reactions to this. Some whispered in dissatisfaction, some had no expression on their faces, and some looked like they were enjoying a good show.
Salina remained calm. She knew that a head-on confrontation with Umbridge was futile, but she was secretly determined to find a way to deal with this pink toad.
Umbridge stood at the podium, with a false smile on her heavily powdered face, and emphasized in a sharp and shrill voice that all previous course problems would be corrected, and began to introduce her theory-centered course objectives.
She asked the students to take out their quills and parchment, copy the long and boring rules on the blackboard word for word, and answer some meaningless questions as she asked.
Then she forced everyone to read a book called "Defense Against the Dark Arts Theory", written by a wizard named Wilbert Slinka.
Umbridge stipulated that absolute silence must be maintained in class and students could only speak after raising their hands to obtain her permission.
Salina flipped through the book in her hand and felt that the contents were boring and had no practical value.
She looked around and found that many of her classmates were like her, listless and yawning.
However, Salina did not give up. She was well prepared and had secretly borrowed Percy's Defense Against the Dark Arts textbooks and notes that he had studied before.
She knew that the next few years at school would not be peaceful, but she couldn't just sit there and let time pass in vain.
Fortunately, the textbooks of the wizarding world have not been revised for a long time, and the knowledge points are almost the same, so she believes that as long as she studies Percy's notes carefully and studies on her own, she will be able to pass the OWL and NEWT exams smoothly.
