Chapter 14 Bard's Tavern

"jingle--"

The bell hanging on the door rang, and Lynch walked into the tavern.

The decoration style of the tavern is very simple, mainly made of logs and dark colors, so that the customers who enter have a relaxed feeling.

"It's pretty early today!"

Behind the bar, the old man who was wiping glasses heard the bell, looked up and saw Lynch, and said with a smile.

"Is it the same as last time?"

"Well! It's the same as last time, please, Bud."

"Haha! It's nothing, you are too polite! It is my honor to have a guest like you who comes to my place every day for dinner!"

Lynch found a stool in front of the bar and sat down. Bud served him a glass of lemonade, and then went to the back kitchen to get busy.

Lynch drank the lemonade in his hand. While looking around boredly, Lynch suddenly found that a lamp in the corner of the tavern had been dismantled, and the twisted wires were exposed in the air.

"What's going on there?"

Through a small window between the bar counter and the back kitchen, Lynch asked Bud who was waving Fang Qiu in front of the stove.

Bud didn't look back, and with a flick of his wrist, he deftly turned over the fried eggs in the pan, and then replied to Lynch: "Oh! When I was cleaning last night, I found that the lamp was broken. When it was removed, it was found that the wires inside had been burned."

"I wanted to do it myself, but I couldn't do it all night. I called an old friend of mine and he will come and help me in a while."

"How about I try it for you?" Lynch was eager to try.

"Forget it, don't get hurt."

Bud dissuades Lynch. "I was electrocuted when I was doing it last night. I'd better leave the professional work to professional people."

"That's true!" Lynch nodded, "Let professional things be done by professional people~"

Soon, Bud brought Lynch's breakfast in front of him.

On the huge plate, there are steaming bacon and egg sandwiches, huge cheese beef burgers, fried potato cakes, grilled croissants, a bowl of vegetable salad, and more than a dozen different flavors, which exude a tempting smell. Sausage with a glass of yogurt on the side.

"I really admire you, you can eat so much meat in the morning."

Faced with Bud's ridicule, Lynch just smiled, cut a piece of sausage and chewed it in his mouth without further explanation.

Lynch was exhausted all night last night, his stomach was empty, and he was extremely tired mentally.

Compared with the traditional breakfast of oatmeal soaked in milk, he now needs meat with a stronger taste to stimulate himself.

Just after taking a few bites, the doorbell of the tavern rang again.

When Bud saw the person coming in, he walked out of the bar and greeted him with a smile.

"Hey! Ben, old chap, you've come."

The two old men embraced at the door.

"Bud, you old man, don't you only contact me when you need my help?"

"Haha, look at what you said, my tavern is here, and you don't come here often! You can't blame me! In contrast, your nephew often brings his classmates to eat here."

"With classmates?"

Ben Parker had just opened his tool bag, and when he heard Bud's words, he was taken aback for a moment, and then asked his old friend curiously, "Is it a male classmate or a female classmate?"

Bud smiled wretchedly, "Good old Parker~"

Bud reached out to grab Ben Parker's shoulder, but Ben Parker rolled his eyes and waved him away.

"Speaking of serious things, you tell me quickly."

"Okay! It's a male classmate!"

Listening to Bud's words, Ben Parker was obviously disappointed.

Bud rubbed the hand that was beaten, "You really treat Peter like your own son!"

"if not?"

Ben Parker took out various repair tools from the tool bag and said: "After Richard's accident, Peter and May are left as relatives. I have to take good care of him. If I don't treat him well , no one in this world treats him well."

Seemingly thinking of something, Ben Parker sighed and said:

"Besides, Peter is a good boy!"

"He should never have grown up in a miserable childhood without parents! I know I can't replace Peter's biological father, but I will do my best!"

"Okay." Bud nodded and stopped talking.

Ben Parker started to deal with the wire problem. In fact, even a layman like Lynch could see that it was just a small problem, so under the help of a professional like Ben Parker, he quickly replaced the broken wire up.

"There is no problem with the light, try turning it on now."

Ben Parker put the lamp back on and said to Bud.

"Okay!" Bud turned on the switch and turned on the light switch.

The originally dark tavern suddenly became brighter.

"Haha! Alright!" Bud happily slapped Ben Parker on the shoulder.

Ben Parker cried out in pain, and complained to Bud: "You haven't changed the habits left over from your college days!"

"Don't! If I change it, you still want to die?"

Facing his friend's complaints, Bud didn't care, "You haven't had breakfast yet, have you? Go wash your hands, and I'll make you one."

"It's not troublesome, is it?"

"Oh! What's the trouble? Sit down! It'll be right away!"

Bud forced his old friend to sit on the stool in front of the bar, but Ben Parker couldn't hold Bud back, so he had to accept it half-pushed.

Bud whistled cheerfully and entered the back kitchen.

Ben Parker's seat was right next to Lynch. When Ben Parker sat down, Lynch smiled and waved to the old man beside him.

"Good morning!"

"Hello there!"

Ben Parker smiled back at Lynch, and then Ben Parker sat on the stool and waited quietly.

Seeing that Ben Parker didn't want to talk too much, Lynch didn't feel bad for himself, and started to deal with the hearty breakfast on the plate seriously.

Compared with Lynch, what Bud served to Ben Parker was a breakfast with a relatively normal variety and portion, a bacon and fried egg sandwich, a small bowl of oatmeal, and a cup of strong coffee.
