Hogwarts from another world

Chapter 9 No. 3 and No. 1

Matthew Wakefield always thought he was going crazy.

Because of that strange book of unknown origin.

But that was not the case. Until three days later, he was still alive and well, in Room 13 of the Leaky Cauldron.

And that book has been lying quietly in the abandoned toad glass box; Matthew has not actively touched it; it has not had any impact on Matthew's life.

So much so that he once thought he could say goodbye to this book when he left the Leaky Cauldron.

But on the night of August 8st, the book disappeared from Matthew's sight again and "left" from the glass box; later, when he was packing his luggage for Hogwarts, he found that This book lies quietly at the bottom of the suitcase.

It just moved its position.

Several times in the past few days, Matthew could hardly control his inner temptation and tried to open the book.

Look at what's written on it and find out what secrets it holds

But in the end, reason prevailed.

Matthew's intuition has been warning him that if he comes into contact with this mysterious magical item without any understanding, the consequences will be disastrous.

The miserable death of the black-rimmed toad had already left a deep impression on his mind.

Even when he saw the book lying quietly at the bottom of the suitcase, Matthew calmly locked the suitcase as if nothing had happened.

Then he lay down on the bed and fell asleep peacefully.

Early the next morning, Matthew woke up at six o'clock.

He was a little curious, a little nervous, a little excited, and a little scared about the Hogwarts he was about to go to.

After getting up from the bed, he put on a black wizard robe that he bought in Diagon Alley a few days ago. Although the weather was still very hot and muggy, this seemingly thick robe was quite comfortable to wear. It probably had something to do with it. Cool magic or something like that.

Then he found the letter Penelope Clivat had given him before leaving.

In the envelope, there was only a train ticket for Matthew to take the Hogwarts Express at Platform 9 of King's Cross Station at 1am on September 9st.

Other than that, there are no tips or explanations.

However, Miss Crevat also told him before leaving that Tom, the owner of the Leaky Cauldron, would send him there, so Matthew just waited quietly in the room.

It wasn't until 10:30 in the morning that there was a gentle knock on the door of Room 13.

I walked over and opened the door, and Tom, the bar owner with all his teeth and skinny teeth, was outside, holding a small flower pot filled with shiny green powder.

"So long, Mr. Wakefield," he said with a grin.

"Come in quickly, sir," Matthew said quickly.

Tom walked into Room No. 13, and then walked slowly to the fireplace. He snapped his fingers, and the dark green flames in the fireplace instantly rose.

"We'll floo to King's Cross Station, Mr. Wakefield," Tom explained. "It's very simple and easy to crawl into one fireplace and emerge from another. You just need to The words "King's Cross Station" are clear. All you need to say is correct and you won't go to the wrong fireplace."

He described how to use Floo powder in great detail, and Matthew was listening quietly.

After double-checking that Matthew understood all the steps, Tom placed the flowerpot on the mantelpiece.

"I'll give you a demonstration first and help you take your luggage over first." He grabbed Matthew's suitcase.

Then Tom picked up a handful of sparkling powder from the flowerpot, walked to the stove, and threw the powder into the flames.

With a roar, the fire turned green and rose higher than the old man. He walked straight into the fire, shouted "King's Cross" and was gone in the blink of an eye.

Matthew took a deep breath, reached for a handful of floo powder, and walked to the flame:

"King's Cross Station"

He seemed to be sucked into a huge washing machine, his whole body was spinning rapidly, the whistling sound in his ears was deafening, and the green flames in front of him were dazzling.

Looking around, I could see a series of fireplace doors vaguely flashing past, and I could even vaguely glimpse the room outside the fireplace.

After an unknown amount of time, Matthew suddenly realized that he had arrived at his destination.

He is now located in a rather wide space. The walls on all four sides are lined with glossy dark wooden boards, and many fireplaces with green flames are embedded in the wooden boards. Every few seconds, with a soft popping sound, a wizard suddenly appeared from a fireplace on the left. And on the right, there were one or two people lining up in front of each fireplace, waiting to leave.

"Mr. Wakefield" Tom handed Matthew's suitcase back to him: "I wish you a pleasant stay at Hogwarts."

"Thank you, Mr. Tom." Matthew bowed lightly and thanked him.

The owner of the Leaky Cauldron just smiled and started to line up in front of the fireplace on the right to leave.

Step out of the room full of fireplaces and you'll find King's Cross Station.

A dark red steam locomotive was parked on a platform packed with passengers. The sign on the train read: Hogwarts Express, eleven o'clock.

The sign on the platform next to it reads: Platform 9.

Thick smoke from the steam locomotive filled the air above the chattering crowd. Various cats were walking around under people's feet, and a few toads could be vaguely seen jumping around. The screams of the owls were very harsh, mixed with the voices of the crowd and the sound of heavy luggage being dragged.

Matthew squeezed through the crowd. The scene on the platform was somewhat similar to what he remembered.

Just when he was about to get in the car and find a box

"Hey, hey, hey," someone seemed to be calling him from behind.

Matthew turned around in confusion and saw a girl with very thick and unkempt brown hair running towards him with a big ginger cat in her arms.

"Hello" Matthew frowned. He didn't seem to recognize the other person in his memory.

"You are number 13, right?" the girl asked with some interest.

"No. 13" Matthew took a moment to realize that this was his room number in the Leaky Cauldron. He nodded: "Yes, that's right."

"I've seen you several times in the Leaky Cauldron; I've always wanted to say hello to you, but I haven't had the chance these days. I'm number 11."

The girl smiled widely, showing two obvious little rabbit teeth.
