Hogwarts from another world

Chapter 16 Common Room (please recommend)

After the applause ended, Professor Trocca sat down.

But Professor Grindelwald still stood there.

“Also, we want to welcome all first-year students,” he continued.

The applause rang out again, much more enthusiastic than before.

"The moment you step into the Hogwarts campus, this castle will be like your home. It will protect you and accompany you as you grow; no matter when, where, or if you encounter any hardships, Hog Watts will be your strongest barrier."

"However, you must also abide by the disciplines, rules and traditions of Hogwarts. Professor Kettleburn asked me to remind you that students are prohibited from entering the Forbidden Forest on campus; the administrator Mr. Pringle also wants me to warn you, Working magic in the corridors is strictly prohibited; and Professor Rosier wants all of you to know that tardiness and unfinished work will be severely punished."

"Even though Hogwarts is divided into four houses, the bond of magic and mystery has always tied us together. Harmony and unity are the wishes left by the four founders, so I don't want to see Any unnecessary disputes arise in the castle."

"Finally, I would also like to remind everyone that insulting names such as bastard and mudblood are strictly prohibited in Hogwarts." The principal said as he glanced at the Slytherin table with his shining eyes. For a moment: "If you don't believe this, you might as well give it a try."

"Now, before everyone goes to bed, let's sing the school song together," Grindelwald said at last.

He waved his wand lightly, and a long golden ribbon flew out, twisting and coiling like a snake above the high dining table, forming lines of text.

Matthew noticed that the wand in his hand was a little different from ordinary wands.

"Hogwarts, Hogwarts,

Hogwarts, Hogwarts,

Please teach us knowledge,

Whether we are bald old men,

Or the kid who broke his knee when he fell”

Different students began to sing the school song according to different tunes.

So much so that the auditorium looked a little funny.

Grindelwald's voice is the loudest and his singing is the most beautiful.

"Music, let's go to bed with everyone." He wiped his eyes and said, "I wish everyone a happy year in the coming year."

The first-year Slytherins followed Miss Gemma Farley through the noisy crowd, out of the Great Hall, and down the marble stairs.

After such a lively banquet, many people were a little tired; Crabbe and Goyle, for example, yawned profusely.

They first came to the exit between the castle and the basement, then walked down the stone steps step by step and entered the gloomy underground corridor.

The light in the basement is a little dark, and only about ten steps away can you see the solitary torch on the stone wall. Moreover, this corridor was very empty, which amplified the sound of their footsteps and sounded a bit eerie.

A ray of light shone at the end of Farley's wand, leading them forward through forks in the road.

Matthew was observing his surroundings, trying to remember where they were at every turn.

Almost ten minutes later, they stopped beside an empty, wet stone wall.

After waiting for a while, a stone door appeared on the stone wall with a big green snake painted on it, with the snake's mouth biting its tail.

"As you can see, the symbol of Slytherin is the snake, the most intelligent creature." Farley introduced: "Also, the colors of our house are emerald and silver."

She gently touched the head of the snake on the stone door, and then whispered:

"Blood is thicker than blood"

The snake on the stone door began to squirm slightly, and as it moved, the stone door was slowly opened.

"This is the password. Change it every two weeks. Pay attention to the bulletin board."

Then, a group of them walked into the Slytherin common room.

It was then that Matthew realized that the location of the Slytherin common room was at the bottom of the Black Lake.

The ceiling is transparent, and you can see the sparkling light above and the fish swimming by from time to time.

But apart from the poor lighting, it was barely a comfortable round room, with a warm green flame burning in the fireplace and soft armchairs surrounding it.

Farley directed the girls through one door to their dormitories; then she led the boys through another door.

The bedroom is quite spacious, enough to accommodate five people.

There are five traditional four-poster beds, with green silk curtains hanging on the beds and silver thread embroidery on the bedspreads. Many medieval tapestries can be seen on the surrounding walls, and silver lanterns hang from the ceiling.

Matthew found the bed with his name on it, and also saw that his luggage had already been delivered.

There is also a slender cardboard box above the luggage; when you look closer, you can see the trademark "Gregovich" written on it, and a line of small letters with the name "Garrick Ollivander" written on it.

Is this my magic wand?

Matthew carefully opened the carton. A brand new black walnut wand lay quietly in the carton, with a wand leather case beside it.

The four roommates were all exhausted. When Matthew looked up, he found that each of them had changed into pajamas and fell asleep.

Matthew himself was not sleepy at all. He opened his suitcase and took out the items inside.

Until I saw the old book sitting there quietly at the bottom of the suitcase.

"Is this all your fault?" Matthew asked softly.

He seemed to be talking to himself again.

Suddenly, a small voice came from the left side.

The gentle sound of waves lapping at the bottom of the lake outside the window.

Matthew turned his head and saw a giant octopus slithering past the window in the dim light.

The huge eyes of the octopus were staring at him.
