50 Iron Tokens

One day passed by.

Myriad Arrows and Jake were back in front of the woman, ready to redeem the earnings from their wins.

There was a line this time, but it moved significantly faster, and soon, it was their turn.

The woman smiled at them, and put her hands forward for their tokens. In the past day, well, day and a half, she had seen the two of them come and go way too many times.

And after the incident with her manager, she knew that she had to remember this man at least, for the manager to actually give him fifteen hundred gold! This man had some sway.

As Myriad Arrows handed over his token, the woman looked at it, and her eyes flashed with surprise.

"You are already at a hundred wins! To think that you are so fast! You truly are a legendary duo!" the woman exclaimed, surprised.

As she held Myriad Arrows' token, the numbers on it disappeared, and behind the token, the numbers changed, finally becoming one hundred.

Then, from this single engraving, a gray color spread to the rest of the token slowly, and the token eventually became an Iron Token.

And then, the number vanished into glowing particles, and another number stood in its place.

It was a zero. His number of wins reset completely.

"Here you go. A gold coin. Congrats on finally getting to ten wins in a single run." the woman smiled as she handed him the shining gold coin.

Behind them, numbers of players stood there, looking to redeem their coins after most of them lost in their first match.

And they clearly saw that these two were players. Hearing that this man had gotten ten consecutive wins shocked them out of their minds! Winning one match seemed impossible enough at their levels, but winning ten? That was just not in the realm of human capability!

But more than the expression of shock, was one of greed. A gold coin. Rarer than a hundred silver, with people never trading the former for the latter, a gold coin was now worth much more than the hundred dollars that Jake traded for a week ago.

Jake then put his token forward.

And surprisingly, his token was already gray in color! Jake was already an Iron Token holder! To think that he already entered the ranks so quickly! In fact, it was something that had never been done before, to get a hundred wins in just a day.

But it was different now than before. Jake was facing only NPCs here, as many players did not come here yet. And with the fact that most players were not getting past the first win, that meant that only NPCs would be matched with Jake and Myriad Arrows, who were each winning ten times!

"It was an interesting battle today, I heard." the woman smiled as she handed a small pouch to Jake.

It was a pouch with three gold coins, not a huge number, but definitely worth a lot.

The Iron Token matches in the first three arenas were on another level, with each battle taking almost an hour sometimes! And the amount of experience that players got from winning the matches was on a whole other level, as well as the money they got!

But for Jake, it was just a little different.

"Tell your manager that I am ready for any high end match that he has. It will be interesting to see the truly big matches in arena one." Jake said, smiling.

"I will inform the manager." the woman nodded.

With this, Jake and Myriad Arrows walked away, letting the next person come forward.

They left the colosseum and walked outside, through the exterior.

Again, the sun was in the center of the sky. It did not budge. In fact, it had not budged for the entirety of the last day. This was a special place, as the time of the day was always twelve in the afternoon, when the sky was right in the middle of the sky.

It was the perfect lighting for everyone to see the matches in their full glory, and, as the heat was completely negated through programming, it was perfect for the players as well.

"What next? We are both more than a hundred wins ahead. I am almost at level forty now! Too bad, the experience needed to level up keeps increasing way too much." Myriad Arrows sighed.

"That is how leveling works. The first few levels are easy, but if it remained that easy, then just about everyone would get to the top levels, and it wouldn't be a game anymore, would it?" Jake smiled.

"Just remember. This is the world now. And it won't be easy. We need to get stronger for that exact reason." Jake reminded him.

"So are we done here now? We need to make sure that the guild members are still grinding." Myriad Arrows said.

"Yeah, you are right. Let us go there and check it out." Jake nodded.

From where they were, the portal was already visible. Outside the colosseum, this was a pretty small island, and there wasn't anywhere else to go.

The duo walked to the portal, and immediately left for Diffast. The moment that they entered the portal, they entered a different city altogether,

Finally, the bright light had dimmed down considerably. The sun finally moved from its stubborn position after a long day and a half in the colosseum.

But regardless, they were back in the city that they called home for a while now.

Looking around, there were many people walking around, but it seemed like the overflowing numbers that existed when Jake first came here were no longer there.

People were slowly giving up. Days later, people no longer had hope that the Epic class was within their grasp. They no longer felt that they could get it.

Of course, some kept persisting. Many theorized that the class could be in the forbidden street, but no one could even enter it! Some were allowed in, and many of them claimed that the class wasn't in the street.
