"Phew… That wasn't too hard," Jumping off from the air, Elina spoke as she wiped the sweat off her forehead.

"Hmm… it is surprising that we killed it this fast. For a Celestial-Realm expert, it had no special characteristics of abilities. I feel something strange here," Said Ray as he rubbed his chin in thought.

"Well, we can't do anything more. We have to move forward, there is not much time left," Said Sirius.

"Yes, you are right," Ray spoke and turned around. He raised the sword and slashed as a huge line was cut open on the troll's chest. Void Gauntlets appeared as they shimmered with a dense purple light.

Ray lifted his hand and plunged it deep into the troll's chest. His hand swirled inside the chest as he grabbed onto the troll's hearts pulled it out.

Holding the troll's heart in his hand, he smiled lightly and kept it in his spatial storage. Then he looked at the troll's chest again and plunged his hand inside it once again.

This time, his hand moved inside the troll's chest as he seemed to be searching for something. After a minute or two, he pulled his hand out as a small crystal ball was also taken out.

"Hmm… there really is an issue here," He spoke.

"What happened?" Nia came forward and asked. She looked at the crystal ball with much curiosity and even touched the ball.

"Yeah, you are guessing right. It the troll's beast crystal. To be honest, for all the trolls we have killed by now. There are more beast crystals than we can imagine," Said Ray as he looked at the crystal and rubbed his chin.

"I see something else. This isn't the beast crystal of a pure calamity-realm beast. We have a couple powering the Jhonson's mansion and it's much clearer and has a different aura than this one," Nia spoke as she pulled her head away from the crystal.

"Yes, I was just scanning it," Ray replied.

[Monster:- Troll Lord (Evolved)

The following beast crystal is more like an excited state of a pseudo-calamity realm monster. Energy and strange methods are used to upgrade the monster. The system is scanning it to add it to the data base for further investigation],

Ray read the text and sighed, "We need to get out. Things are beyond our imagination at this point. I will just say that the situation isn't something we can take control of yet. So it's best to care for our lives and leave it all up to the experts,"

After speaking this, Ray turned around and was about to walk out to the next hallway to reach the portal room when his head suddenly buzzed.

"Ray, get out now!" Mag'ladroth's voice sounded as Ray's eyes turned dark. A greyish void formed inside it as he altered the space and used his ability,

He disappeared and appeared again meters away as the place where he was standing changed. The whole space trembled and broke as spatial cracks appeared where he stood previously.

"What is that?" Asked Elina in shock.

"It is what I was fearing all along. I guess the shield is breaking down," Said Ray as he turned around and looked at the path ahead.

"You all do one thing. Reroute back and escort everyone to the portal. I will go along with Sirius and Nia to the portal room and get everything ready," Said Ray with a frown on his face.

He looked at the unstable portal trying to open up in front of him. His eye changed color as he Void Element revolved around it. Ray raised his arm and with much difficulty, he directly used the Void element and absorbed the spatial energy of the portal.

The lack of spatial element lead to the collapse of the already unstable portal as the portal was closed.

Ray wiped the sweet off his forehead and motioned Sirius and Nia to move along with him. Kicking off his feet, he jumped forward and turned into about as he disappeared while Sirius and Nia followed behind him.

"Let's walk back," Elina said as she turned around and looked at the empty dark corridors filled with blood and grime.

Seeing the gory scene ahead of her, she gulped lightly and looked back at the res of them as she spoke, "Why don't you guys take the lead. I will just follow behind you all," She said so previously and walked behind kashish as she nudged her to move forward.

"Where is your confidence now? Scaredy cat," Scoffed Kashish as she took a step forward. However, even her back was drenched with sweat.

The presence of Ray helped them all a lot and with him now gone, they had no one to anchor them or for them to rely on and the current situation just made them realize it all.

Still, Kashish was strong and used her will power and took the first step as she ventured back into the dark and gory corridors.

"Swish…" The wind blew by as Ray, Sirius and Nia went ahead. They crossed the narrow corridor which was completely empty and were not far away from the portal room.

On the way, Ray felt something wrong. His perception kept getting triggered again and again as it seemed to be warning him about something.

Ray didn't stop to check it. He just kept on going as he knew that there was no time to stop or else something even worse would happen.

"Here it is," Said Sirius as he reached the portal room first.

"Yes, let's be on guard and venture in," Ray stopped and said. He summoned his Void Sword and went on ahead.

"Yes, lets go in," Nia agreed as she summoned her armor and blades and followed behind Ray.

"Crrr….Dmmm… the door is jammed," Sirius said as he tried to push the door.

"It must be the changes due to the merge. Try using your full strength," Ray told him as he summoned his Void Gauntlets as well. The situation was very tense and Ray was in full alert.

"Okay," Sirius nodded and then transformed. Fur appeared all over his skin as his muscles bulged out. His eyes turned dark red as he stepped forward and gave the door a heavy push.

"Creaakkkk…" The door creaked as Sirius moved it with much difficultly. However, even that wasn't enough. The door had only moved inches before it stopped moving completely.

Sirius had exerted his full strength and it was to the point that his claws had sunken inside the door frame.

"Just what is it made up of?" Said Sirius in shock and anger. As a wolf, he was pretty short tempered and the door had made his temper go off.

"Try breaking the door apart," Ray said as he lifted his Void Sword.

"Wait, let me try first," Sirius said and summoned his spear.

Powered by his rage, the spear glowed a red pulse as dark shadows started to hover around Sirius. A faint figure formed behind him as Sirius lifted the spear in the air and stabbed forward.

As he did, his muscles were tensed to the limit as they whipped in the air. His hand turned blurry as various after images were left behind. The air popped from the pressure as Sirius stabbed his spear like a warrior who had trained himself to do so for eons.

"Clankkk…" The spear made contact with the door as a sharp metallic screech as it pierced through the door and came out form the other side.

Ray simply smiled as he knew that Sirius was perfectly bonded with the spear and the strength it created was on another level.

But it wasn't all. The spear had just pierced the door and not opened it. Sirius had to open the door. Therefore, Sirius took a step forward as the shadows around him congregated and he pushed the spear even more. As he did, the shadows turned into a semi corporal state as they forced the door to open up.

"Lets help him out or it will take eons before it opens up," Said Ray to Nia as he plunged his sword to the ground and cracked his fingers. He stepped forward as a scorching heat covered his surroundings. His eyes turned flaming red as a yellowish aura covered his body.

Ray put his hand on the door frame as he pushed it forward. The door creaked even more as the force on it was increased while the air around it got drier and drier.

On the other hand, Nia also readied herself. Her armor covered her body as she took a couple of steps back. Readying herself, she kicked the ground with all her strength and turned into a blur as she rammed into the door.

As she did, it was like the last push as the door was flung open completely.

On the other side, a thick and dense stench of blood radiated while a mushy feeling remained in the air.

"Something isn't right for sure," Said Ray as he took a step inside the portal room.
