At that time, Italian General Douhet proposed the "air force theory of victory", believing that future wars would see a pattern in which the army was trapped in trench defenses and relied on the air force to bomb enemy cities to win.
The "BT Visit Incident" that occurred between the Soviet Union and Japan in 1928 made other countries realize the importance of strategic bombing. Therefore, the "bombing deterrence strategy" was continued to be used by the German army until Germany restored its armaments.
In 1932, after Germany resumed its armaments, the Luftwaffe at that time felt that the performance of the J.28 was lagging behind and the space for upgrades was limited. It needed to develop a new bomber to ensure the continued implementation of the "bombing deterrence strategy."
Therefore, the task of developing a new heavy bomber was handed over to Fokker, Junkers and Dornier, which were at the height of their power in the field of civil aviation at that time.
From 1935 to 1936, Fokker, Juncker and Dornier successively produced products of their own design, including Fokker's Fokker F.36 and Juncker's Ju.819.
However, the Fokker F.36, which has the best performance among them, did not appear in this parade. This model adopts a high-wing monoplane, dual vertical tails, and a tricycle landing gear layout. It has a solid fuselage and powerful self-defense firepower. It is equipped with Four BMW 700 series engines using turbocharging technology, a heavy bomber that can fully cope with high-altitude bombing missions, are actually the real winners of the "new heavy bomber tender" and have received the most orders.
In order to achieve the "high-altitude performance" required by the Air Force, Junkers and Dornier chose the liquid-cooled engine of Yumo Company, which did not have outstanding performance. The result is that the empty weight and take-off weight of the Ju.89 and Do.19 are far inferior to the Fokker F.36 equipped with a turbocharged air-cooled engine.
However, Ju.89 and Do.19 still received 30 orders each, and all 60 Ju.89 and Do.19 have now been delivered to the German Air Force, and they will all participate in today's military parade.
In addition to these 60 new heavy bombers, another 100 J.28H will also appear in the sky over Berlin. 160 planes will circle five times in the sky over Berlin, giving off the momentum of 800 planes.
The reason for exaggerating the size of the Ju.89 and Do.19 fleets is to implement a "strategic deception plan" against the United Kingdom, France and Poland - the "Black Plan".
The plan was to convince Germany's enemies that Germany would win the final victory of the war through a year-long strategic bombing campaign using thousands of four-engine heavy bombers such as Ju.89, Do.19 and J.28H.
This seems very conceivable, because the Keynes Plan and the expanded Soviet-German cooperation made the German aviation industry, especially the production capacity of civilian passenger aircraft and transport aircraft, much stronger than in history.
