The Herb King



Janrose didn't want to waste any time. She pulled out her Divine-Rated sword and summoned her Sword Intent. Her powerful aura covered the entire arena, making Xavier feel intense pressure. 

"Divine Sword Movement, first sword movement!" Janrose muttered under her breath as she executed a series of moves with her sword. World essence started pouring out of her body and an illusory golden sword slowly condensed above her head. 

Seeing this illusory golden sword, the referee and the Elders broke out in cold sweat. This sword technique caused them a lot of trouble earlier and they were afraid that they won't be able to block it again. 

Omar descended to the ground when he saw the situation. His presence made the referee and the Elders feel relieved. 

Meanwhile, Xavier's eyes flashed with cruelty upon seeing the illusory golden sword. "Do you really think that you're the only one who knows a powerful technique?" He muttered coldly as he started pouring world essence into his crescent-shaped blade. 

He was an assassin and he was taught how to kill since he was young. He could no longer remember how many people he had killed, but if all of their corpses were stacked together, it would certainly form a small mountain. He never used his assassination techniques since the competition started because using them would end the lives of his opponents. He knew that most of the young talents who joined the competition are people with deep backgrounds and he didn't want to attract trouble by killing them. However, he wanted to win the martial competition so he had no choice but to use his killing techniques against Janrose. 

"Slaughter Pathway, Rain of Blade!" He muttered a chant. His figure blurred and moved like a mirage. Blade lights could be seen in his path.

Janrose narrowed his eyes when she sensed the danger. "Release!" She could only release her golden illusory sword in advance. It would decrease the power, but she had no choice since Xavier's attack was so unexpected. She never thought that he was actually hiding such a powerful technique. 

Swoosh!

Xavier quickly evaded to the side, but his shoulder was still grazed by the terrifying energy of the illusory golden sword. He didn't stop his charge despite the wound on his shoulder and continued to head straight toward Janrose. Upon getting closer to her, he slashed out his blade downwards in one quick motion. 

Janrose lifted her sword and deflected Xavier's blade. However, the power behind the blade sent her flying into the air like a broken kite. 

Meanwhile, the referee and the Elders extinguished the illusory golden sword that was casted by Janrose. It was a lot weaker than the one she released earlier so they were able to destroy it without the help of Omar. 

Above the air, Janrose's body was exposed and Xavier immediately launched another deadly attack, not giving her a chance to maneuver. His blade exploded with power. Its might was capable of destroying anything in its path! 

The audience was shocked when they saw this and they couldn't help but feel nervous for Janrose. If she couldn't evade on time, she might be killed! 

The faces of Eliazar and General Trevor turned serious when they saw the situation. They turned their heads to Aethelwolf and saw that his expression was still calm. 

"Sir Aethelwolf, I think your student will be in danger. That little guy, Xavier, looks like an assassin, and his techniques are filled with killing intent and immense power." Eliazar muttered at the side. He didn't know what would happen if Aethelwolf's student was killed in the arena. Knowing the guy's power, Eliazar was afraid that he might cause a ruckus if something unexpected happens. Even if all of them joined hands to contain him, Eliazar was uncertain if they could stop an angry Aethelwolf. 

Aethelwolf grinned as he muttered. "Watch." 

Hearing his words, the two could sigh and shake their heads helplessly. They then prepared themselves to make a move to prevent an accident from happening. 

Just as Xavier's blade was about to hit her, Janrose suddenly raised her left hand and summoned a blazingly hot Yellow Pill Fire. 

"Huh?!" Xavier didn't expect that his opponent was actually an Alchemist and she could even summon a Yellow Pill Fire that only Level 3 Alchemists could control! He twisted his body in hopes that he could evade the incoming Yellow Pill Fire. 

"Ahhh!!!" Xavier was covered in flames and his figure fell into the arena. 

Thud!

Omar pointed his finger and released a giant wave of water into Xavier. 

Splash!

Janrose grabbed a pill from her storage ring and tossed it into Xavier's mouth. "Refine it." She muttered.

Xavier swallowed the pill and hurriedly refined it. The burning feeling slowly vanished as soon as the pill's energy spread throughout every fiber of his body.

"T-Thanks." He muttered in a cold voice.

The referee and the Elders heaved a sigh of relief. 

"Janrose wins!" The referee announced.

A few servants came up on the stage. They lifted the injured Xavier out of the stage. As for Janrose, she glanced at Alec and gave him a thumbs up.

In the camp of the Proud Tiger Tribe, the Transportation Rune has been finally created under the efforts of the Engravers. 

"It's done! We made it!" Elder Gild, the former Elder of the Aracan Kingdom shouted excitedly. He was a Level 5 Engraver and he was the person responsible for inscribing the most crucial parts of the Transportation Rune. If it was anyone else, it would have taken them more time to draw these parts. However, as the former top Engraver of the Aracan Kingdom, he managed to complete everything in less than two hours! 

"We did it!"

"Great! Let's report this to Her Ma- I mean to Miss Irithel!" 

When Irithel heard the news, she was also ecstatic. She immediately called Amishta and asked her to lead the transport process of the Proud Tiger Tribe. 

"Are we finally leaving this goddamn place?" 

"I'm excited to see the fertile lands of the civilized region!" 

The Barbarians cheered excitedly when they heard the news.
