HP Dawn Night

Chapter 221 Nightmare

Theodore looked at me sadly, his eyes reminded me of a winter forest: "Why don't you believe me, Violet?"

"What's wrong?" I looked up at the foyer in bewilderment. The old dust was peeling off the brick wall, and even the oak door behind Theodore was polished to a honey gold.

"I warned you, Violet." Theodore sighed, "The poisonous snake will entangle you at your feet, and when it attacks you, you don't even have time to notice it."

"I don't understand what you're talking about, Theodore." I looked at him sternly. "Stop playing charades."

He seemed surprised: "You don't know yet?"

"Know what?" I retorted.

Theodore was silent for a moment, then suddenly raised his hand and pushed open the oak door of the auditorium.

I saw an unforgettable scene - Draco and Astoria kissing under the shining dome, and the Slytherin students waved golden goblets and cheered.I see Pansy and Blaise yelling something, but the crowd pushes them away, and in the center is the couple who seem to be in love.

I was stunned.

No one noticed the quietly opened door, and everyone smiled happily. It seems like my name has been wiped from their memory by them.

Daphne Greengrass stood alone on the outskirts of the crowd.Suddenly, as if she had caught something, she turned her head and looked in my direction, with a sneer of relief at the corner of her mouth, and raised her glass from a distance.I clearly saw her lips, she was saying: "Look, proud and arrogant Violet, how is your ending different from mine?"

I took a hurried step back, and the setting sun elongated the shadows of the pillars and walls dimly. The shadow looked like a monster that had been dormant for a long time, I flinched in horror, it seemed to swallow me up.

"Did you feel the sting, Violet?" Theodore's voice was sticky and slippery, "It's too late, the poison has penetrated into your blood and bones."

"Vio! Vio!!—"

The stabbing pain in my shoulder pulled me back, I opened my eyes suddenly, Pansy was shaking me desperately, Millicent was standing on the other side of the bed holding a lamp, and Daphne was standing far away with arms folded. They all had fear on their faces.

"You had a nightmare." Pansy pulled me up forcefully, "What did you dream about?"

There were rustling voices outside the door——

"what happened?"

"Did you hear the scream just now?"

"It seems to be that room."

"Wow! That's not—"

Pansy was wiping the cold sweat off my brow with a handkerchief.I took a breath, but I still couldn't distinguish the dream just now: "What did I do?"

Millicent raised the candlestick so I could see the mess on the ground.

"We heard you screaming, and then we heard the sound of fabric being torn." Pansy explained gently, as if I had just accidentally knocked over a quill, "You were still dreaming when I got up." Yelling and writhing around, like struggling, and then you accidentally brush your hand across the bedside table..."

I saw my bed net lying in tatters on the floor, with broken mirror frames, broken ink bottles, notepads, quills, and other trinkets scattered across the bed net.

"It's easy to clean," Millicent reassured me.

"What did you dream, Vio?" Pansy pressed.

The commotion in the corridor outside continued, and seemed to be gathering more and more people.

"Can you help me out to keep order first, Pansy?" I took the handkerchief and tried to calm down.

She looked at me for a few seconds, then got up silently. Then I heard her shouting orders for the others to go back to the dormitory and continue to sleep: "Enough! Enough! What's the surprise? Don't you have nightmares? Go back, go back, it's 02:30 in the morning."

"What unconscionable thing did you do? It actually scared you like that in your dream." Daphne sneered.Millicent turned back and glared at her:

"To shut up!"

"When did you start helping her?" Daphne said sarcasticly with a look of surprise, but Millicent ignored her.

At this time Pansy came back: "Okay, finally back. I'm glad my words still work."

"Pansy, can you come here for a moment?" Millicent stepped back a little knowingly, leaving enough personal space.I leaned into Pansy's ear and asked in a low voice, "Did everyone have a good time at dinner yesterday?"

She looked at me in astonishment: "Are you still talking in your sleep? Umbridge added a new rule at dinner last night!"

No matter how terrible the visions I saw in my dreams at night, I still chose to fight Draco in the morning. This time it is impossible for me to concede.

But I underestimated the speed at which Hogwarts gossip spread, and I was stopped in the foyer by Umbridge right after breakfast: "Want to come to my office for some tea, Miss Snape?"

My answer can only be - "It is a great honor, Professor Umbridge."

A few seconds after she asked me to sit down, she mentioned what happened last night: "I heard there was a commotion in the girls' dormitory in Slytherin yesterday morning?"

"It was my fault, Professor. I had a nightmare," I explained.

She raised her eyebrows in disbelief: "What a terrible nightmare? Miss Snape, I thought you were a very calm girl."

"Most of the time. But when I received a report card full of P's in my dream, I completely lost my mind." I lied without changing my face, and decided to open a small Joking, "At least I thought I could get an A on my potions."

This explanation seemed to convince Umbridge, and she smirked: "Dreams are all false, Miss Snape, I guarantee you will do well in Defense Against the Dark Arts. On the other hand—you recently Did you gain anything in the special operations investigation team?"

"Nothing, Professor. Except a few trifles," I replied cautiously.

"But I received a report." Umbridge's small eyes fixed on me. "Someone said that you actually have a good relationship with Potter and others?"

I feigned surprise: "At least one prefix must be added: 'ever'. I'm not stupid, Potter and I are not in the same way at all, and there have been several conflicts between us. Now I just don't care about them because of my status as a prefect."

Umbridge laughed hypocritically: "I also think it's just a stupid rumor. After all, you are a smart girl, Miss Snape. It's just that I hope you can pay attention to the Special Operations Investigation Team... After all, this It's important, isn't it?"

"Of course, Professor." I agreed verbally.

I can't expose Potter and his army directly, but I have to expose... I thought, I need a way that can satisfy Umbridge on the one hand, and show favor to Potter on the other hand.

But... My heart skipped a beat, and Umbridge was still staring at me.I thought of Draco, who might, might, might tell Umbridge what we know.

I must stop him.
