HP Dawn Night
Chapter 202 Hagrid's Return
In the evening Pansy helped me wrap the broom in waterproof paper and string and put it in a box under the bed - quitting the Quidditch team meant it would be put away.
"Who do you think Montague will replace you with?" Pansy asked as he moved.
"I don't know." I dragged out the box from under the bed, "That has nothing to do with me."
Looking at the broomstick lying in the box, Pansy seemed a little melancholy: "I'm really not used to it... I won't have to wait during your training anymore..."
"Because I'll be with you, you don't have to sit alone in the stands." I pushed the box back under the bed, feeling a little sad, "Maybe it will be unpacked in a year, maybe never .”
"You're not going back to the team?" Pansy looked at me in surprise.
"I don't know." I whispered back.
Later in the day, notices were posted against Harry Potter and the Weasley twins - the Potter and Weasley twins were banned for life for assaulting classmates and being violent.
Gryffindor lost three of its main players overnight, and Captain Johnson had to regroup the team before the next game, otherwise Gryffindor would be automatically eliminated from the academy competition.Similarly, Slytherin not only needs to find new players, but also needs to make sure that they don't lose a game in the next game, so that they may get the House Cup.
I had to keep reminding myself that I was no longer part of the team, and even though I didn't regret my decision to quit, it was hard to say goodbye.
We accidentally spotted Hagrid at the dinner table on Tuesday morning.
"When did he come back?"
"Looks like the other day. Someone saw the game lodge lights come on."
"What happened to his face?"
More than one person noticed Hagrid's face. His left eye was swollen to a slit, blue and purple, his face and hands were bruised, his movements were slow and careful, and he ate very slowly. I don't know if he had lost a few teeth.
"I remember we had his class today?"
Pansy opened the schedule and looked at it: "That's right. Hey, why did he come back to teach? Who knows what he will bring us!"
"Umbridge should also know that he's back, and it stands to reason that she will 'investigate' Hagrid." Blaise said.Umbridge was sitting at the table sipping tea, looking as usual.
There was a warm welcome to Hagrid's return - a small group of Gryffindors rushed forward to shake his hand and cheer.Others seemed depressed. They must have liked Prof. Graplan’s class as much as we did. After all, her class was more interesting and safer.
"Are you saying the months of absence have changed his style?"
"Being more conservative? Impossible...Hagrid is definitely a pioneer when it comes to Fantastic Beasts."
However, when we walked towards Hagrid who was waiting at the edge of the forest through the deep snow, I found that this class seemed as dangerous as ever. There were more and more terrifying wounds. Some of those wounds were purple, and some were yellow-green. Without exception, it made people wonder if the thing that attacked him contained some kind of poison.
As if to infuse the terrifying black atmosphere, Hagrid was still carrying half a dead cow on his shoulders, and behind him was a dark forest.
"We have class here today!" Hagrid said cheerfully after the whole class gathered together slowly and silently, and he shook his head towards the dark forest behind him, "The forest is a little denser and darker, but , they love the dark..."
"What likes darkness?" Daphne asked sharply, with a hint of fear in her voice.
"He said he liked the dark—did you hear that?" In fact, Draco also had a deep fear of unknown magical creatures. The last time Hagrid called us into the woods to show the Hippogriff, that class was a total nightmare from Draco's memory.
"Don't panic, it's definitely not a Hippogriff." I comforted.
"That's something in the woods too." Draco looked like he had seen a ghost, "You forgot that we used to—"
"Shh!" Blaise glared at him sternly.
The experience in the dense forest cannot be known to others.
Draco closed his mouth resentfully, although his expression showed that he didn't want to step into the jungle.
"Ready?" Hagrid gleefully scanned the class, wondering if he'd noticed that few of them were smiling, "Okay. I've saved a field trip to the woods for you fifth graders." class, I want you to see how these creatures live in their natural environment. The creatures we are going to study today are so rare that I think I may be the only one in the whole of England who has tamed them—”
"Are you sure they're tamed?" Draco asked suddenly, with palpable fear in his voice, "It won't be the first time you've brought beasts to class anyway, will it?"
The Slytherins echoed, and a few Gryffindors seemed to think that Draco had a point.
"Of course tamed," said Hagrid, frowning, lifting the dead cow up on his shoulders.
"Then what happened to your face?" I asked.
"None of your business!" Hagrid snapped, "now if you're done asking stupid questions, come with me!"
"It seems that his wound is very mysterious." I whispered to the other three people.
"I don't think it was an ordinary thing that hurt him. Look how scary the wound is!" Pan Xi smacked her lips appreciatively.
The students reluctantly moved slowly towards the dense forest. About 10 minutes later, we came to a place with dense forests and as dark as dusk, and there was not a single snow on the ground.
"Come closer, come closer!" Hagrid called. "Now, they'll be attracted by the smell of meat, but I still call 'em because they like to hear it's me..."
He turned, shook his head to shake the hair from his face, and uttered a strange, high-pitched cry that echoed in the dark woods like the cry of a giant bird.No one laughed, and most of them seemed too scared to make a sound.
Hagrid yelled again, and a minute passed, and we kept looking around nervously, not knowing what was coming.
"Why doesn't he bark?" Pansy stared at the empty jungle in bewilderment.
"There's nothing there," I said.
Blaise looked at the dense forest with a puzzled look on his face.
"Oh, there's another one!" Hagrid suddenly said proudly, "Now... anyone who sees it, raise your hand."
Several people raised their hands.
"Well, I knew you would, Harry," said Hagrid gravely, "and you, Neville..."
"Excuse me, what can we see?" Pansy asked loudly.
Hagrid answered by pointing to the dead cow on the ground. The whole class stared at it for a few seconds, and then—a few people gasped, and the timid girls screamed: pieces of flesh peeled off their bones and disappeared into the air, like something What invisible animals are eating the same.
"Thestrals," Blaise said suddenly, "only those who have seen death can see this creature."
"Cough cough..."
I haven't had time to ask what a Brace Thestral is.I heard two familiar coughs.Turning around, it was Umbridge, standing a few feet away from us, dressed in green like a weird toad.
"Cough cough."
"Oh, hello," said Hagrid, smiling, as if he hadn't realized what Umbridge's presence meant.
"Did you get the note I sent to your cabin this morning?" Umbridge said in a slow, clear voice, "saying I was coming to your class." She seemed to be talking to a mentally retarded Foreigners speak the same.
"Oh, come on," said Hagrid brightly. "Glad you found the place! Look - I don't know - can you see? We're talking Thestrals today -"
"I'm sorry," Umbridge said loudly, putting his hand to his ear, "what are you talking about?"
"Er—thestrals!" said Hagrid loudly, "big—er—winged, you know!" He flapped his arms eagerly.Umbridge raised his eyebrows and wrote on the clipboard:
"Relying on... clumsy... gestures..."
"There is no need to continue this lesson." Pansy rolled his eyes towards the sky.
"I think Hagrid is going to follow in Umbridge's footsteps."
"That's right...not to mention," Pansy lowered his voice a little, "I suspect Umbridge had a problem with him disappearing for so long."
