HP Dawn Night

Chapter 153 The Most Special Gift

The front door was wide open, but even so I was overwhelmed by the new look.

A lawn on the site was turned into a grotto. There are twinkling fairy lights inside.Hundreds of nymphs sat on rose bushes or statues. The entire site has been turned into a rose garden, surrounded by low shrubs, ornate winding paths and giant stone statues. There is also the sound of splashing water, like a fountain, and occasionally people can be seen sitting on carved benches. There are also some miniature versions of Beauxbaton's carriage scattered around the garden, which I think may be Professor McGonagall's masterpiece.

Draco and I walked along a winding path among rose bushes.

"Ah, by the way, I remembered you owe me something," I said to Draco, "My Christmas present. You promised to give it to me at the dance tonight."

In the dark night, even with the help of the faint fairy light, it was difficult to see Draco's expression. His voice was a little low: "Come with me to the small square in front."

It is said to be a small square, but it is actually a pavilion surrounded by rose bushes, with no shelter around.Soft light poured down from the top of the gazebo.

"Vio?" Draco turned so suddenly that I almost ran into him.

"What's the matter?" I realized that there was some unusual seriousness in Draco's expression.

"Your Christmas present." Draco conjured up an exquisite little box.

It was a nice green box, tied with a silver ribbon, with some black shadows on it - typical Slytherin style.

I took it, only to find a delicate black letter M embroidered where the ribbon was knotted.

It turned out not to be Slytherin style, but Malfoy style.

"Can I take it apart now?" I held it up and shook it.Draco nodded: "My intention is to hope that you can dismantle it now."

When I opened the box, I couldn't help being stunned.

"This is...?" A pair of gorgeous rings were placed on the dark green velvet lining.Silver base set with opals, black crystals and emeralds.

I haven't seen a ring like this before.Just as a Christmas present...

"Have you already guessed what it is?" Draco took the pair of rings from my hand and looked at them carefully under the light.

"This..." I couldn't continue.

"Tonight is the best time I can think of." Draco put down the box and looked me in the eyes. "Stay with me, Vio."

Even when I was unaware when he led me towards the pavilion, I knew where things were going when I saw the ring.

What kind of person is Draco?

From Potter's point of view, he may be the deadly enemy in Hogwarts; from Granger's point of view, he may be a bully who bullies others; from Weasley's point of view, he probably represents the evil Slytherin; In the eyes of Gryffindor, Draco can be interpreted as a villain who bullies Potter, or as a symbol of Slytherin who opposes their house.

But in Blaise's view, Draco is a friend worthy of giving back; in Pansy's view, Draco is her best friend; in Nott's view, their families have something in common; even in In the eyes of most Slytherins, he is a symbol, a symbol of an ancient pure-blood family, a symbol of faith.

Of course, some people think he is an impertinent child spoiled by his parents, or a character comparable to Potter in the Quidditch field. Some people recognize his academic achievement, while others think it is mediocre. Some spurned him and the Malfoy family he represented, but others followed.

So, in my opinion, what kind of person is Draco?

We seem to have known each other for many years. His mother and my mother are close friends. They have similar growth experiences, and they both come from ancient and mysterious pure-blood families. His father is also acquainted with my father, they are both authorities in a certain field, and they also share an ulterior secret. His mother played the role of my aunt and my father was his godfather.

Draco and I met many, many years ago. Most of the trajectories in our lives are criss-crossed.Even though we sometimes have opposing opinions, at the end of the day we have always been trusting and loyal friends.

For me, Blaise, Pansy, and Draco are all my friends.I often say that Pencey is my closest friend, which is neither entirely true nor entirely false.Because sometimes, even I have to admit that Draco doesn't play the same role in my life as Pansy.Pansy was my friend as well as my sister. But Draco was different.Even though I often felt like he was a childish little boy, deep down I never really saw our relationship as brother and sister.

Now, he asked me if our relationship could go further.

Only then did I realize that the little boy who was about the same height as me had grown into a teenager at some point, and I needed to look up at him, and he could even easily pick me up and turn around on the dance floor.I don't know when it started, it seems that when we get along alone in private, it is no longer what it used to be, but something is quietly changing.

In first grade, he accompanied me through the trapdoor.

In the second grade, when I opened my eyes in the cold underground chamber, he was the first person I saw.

In third grade, he and I discovered what happened near the Whomping Willow.

I don't know when it started, it seems that every time I may encounter danger, he is by my side.

"Draco," I said, he looked over nervously, his lips pursed into a stiff straight line, "I like you too."

His expression froze for a second inconceivably, but only for a second. Then the sudden joy appeared on the familiar face, and I couldn't help but smile knowingly. He seemed so excited that he didn't even know how to move his hands and feet.

"May I help you put it on?" he said eagerly.I couldn't help but pursed my lips and smiled, and handed him my hand:

"Does Uncle Lucius know you took them?"

"I took it in an upright way, not to mention he didn't stop it." The cold ring was put on the finger, and the emerald shone with luster under the light.

"You don't know what to say anymore, do you?" I held his hand instead and pushed the other ring up.

"No," Draco looked at me a little bewildered, and stupidly reached out to ruffle his hair, but I stopped it in time. "I'm just so happy."

At this time, a gust of cold wind poured in from between the pillars of the pavilion, and I couldn't help but sneezed.Only then did I understand what my father meant by "wear more clothes".

He immediately took off his coat and draped it over my shoulders.

"You've chosen a great spot, Draco, it's just too cold." I looked up at him. "Remember when we hid in the woods during the Quidditch World Cup? You spread your cloak— "

An unexpected warm hug interrupted what I hadn't finished speaking, and I could smell the scent on Draco's shirt, maybe it was the perfume he was used to, with a serene breath like the ocean.I looked up and saw a pair of familiar, soft gray eyes, and I could see myself in them.So what did he see in my eyes?starry sky?

"What are you doing!" A grumpy voice suddenly sounded, and Draco and I hurriedly separated, and the rather ambiguous and romantic atmosphere disappeared suddenly.

"Dad." I looked awkwardly at Dad who was walking towards us angrily. His black robe was very imposing when he swayed in the wind, but he shouldn't appear at this moment...

"Godfather." Draco was very calm, and there was a little regret in his expression, as if he was sorry for his father's sudden appearance. He even held my hand in front of my father without any scruples.

"You should be in the auditorium at this time." Dad looked at the two of us sternly, looking sharply at our handshake and the man's coat draped over my shoulders.

"Four weeks of voluntary labor!" Dad said suddenly to Draco. "The location is the potions office. I will supervise you myself!"

This is the first time in my memory that Dad has been so merciless to his godson.

"Yes, Godfather." Draco politely accepted the punishment his father entrusted to him.

"Your voluntary labor starts tonight, now!" Dad said through gritted teeth, as if Draco was his greatest enemy, "Go to the Potions office right away, and I'll come and give you a task later. Vio, come with me!"

It was truly the most memorable Christmas I've ever had in my life.

Draco was sent back to the potions office, and I reckon he's going to have a rough night. And Dad took me on the way back to the castle.

"Dad..." I hesitated and wanted to plead, but was interrupted mercilessly by my father:

"I'm glad I saw you in the gazebo instead of some other fancy place. Otherwise Lucius would be taking that brave kid to St. Mungo's tonight," Dad said, rushing A spell was cast on a small carriage, and the carriage door burst open, and a girl screamed from inside, "Ten points each from Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff!"

Two people suddenly jumped up from the rose bushes not far from the carriage, and they ran away quickly before I could see who they were.Really escape.

I:"……"

"Go back to the auditorium now, or go straight to the common room." Dad warned me, leading me into the foyer, "Don't try to sneak into the office, or I'll send you to Filch for detention, understand?"

I've only been locked up by Filch once in my life, and it was one I'll never forget.

I nodded repeatedly.Dad was quite satisfied, left me and turned around and walked towards the basement office.

I stood in the foyer and hesitated for a while, and everyone who came and went looked at me strangely.I thought about it and decided to go back to the lounge.

Unexpectedly, there was already a person in the lounge.

"Yo, you came back so early? And you added a familiar coat?" Pansy looked up at the clock, and then put on a wretched smile, "How is it?"

—that look made me wonder if she thought I had just come back from the rosebush or the carriage.

"My dad showed up just in time." I sat down next to her, and Pansy's expression had turned horrified. "Well, almost right after Draco said what he was about to say."

"Then will he have time to hear your answer?"

I raised my hand.

There was some relief in Pansy's eyes, and she nodded repeatedly: "That's good, that's good. So, when Professor Snape appeared, you were planning to..." She looked at me wanderingly.

"Don't think too much." I pointed out the door, "Four weeks of compulsory labor. If you talk nonsense, maybe you will go together too."

Pansy immediately fell silent.

"It seems that you are also responsible for this." I looked at Pan Xi slowly and said.

"Hehe," she immediately laughed twice, "but you are willing too."

I glanced at her.Pansy continued to ask confidently: "Miss Snape, may I ask how you feel at the moment?"

I looked down at the ring on my finger and couldn't help laughing: "Not bad."
