Chapter 17 Necromancer Barosh

Standing outside the door was a guy in a black robe. He was not tall, and his figure was invisible. Most of his head was covered by a black hood, only a bumpy chin was exposed.

When this person appeared, Kiki had just carried his luggage downstairs when he suddenly found a dark object standing at the door. He was taken aback and almost let the wind blade he had just learned go out.

Fortunately, that humanoid thing spoke first, and asked in a hoarse voice: "Boy, where is the owner of this tower?"

——Really human?

Kiki looked at the guy who appeared out of nowhere in surprise, but forgot to answer for a moment.

Before he could recover, Amir had already walked down the stairs with his luggage. When he saw the extra man in black at the door, he raised his eyebrows in surprise, "Your Excellency Barosh?"

"Long time no see, Amir." The man in black moved his hood up, revealing a big dry mouth, "Do you mind my uninvited visit?"

"Your presence is my honor." Amir hurriedly put down his luggage, invited the man in black named Baros into the Mage Tower, and sat down on the sofa bench in the hall.

—Can’t we go today?

Kitsch pursed his lips, sat down on the high-backed chair beside him unhappily, and sized up the unexpected guest boredly.

Looking at it, Kiki narrowed his eyes habitually, and the next moment, he was shocked by the scene in front of him and shivered.

That Barosh seems to be a magician too, but what surrounds him is not any of the four magic elements, but the kind of musty spots that usually only appear on corpses.

— Zombies? !

Kiki thought subconsciously, and then, he noticed that something was wrong with this Barosh's body, which lacked a lot of masculine elements, but it was somewhat similar to the feeling of Tina and Avella.

——Uh, he, no, she, is a woman? !

Kichi suddenly felt that his mind was a little bit overwhelmed, as if he suddenly knew too many secrets, and his intuition began to stop.

Kiki was surprised, and Amir on the other side asked Barosh why he came.

"Why did you come to me? Could it be..." Amir asked suspiciously.

"Giggle, with your intelligence, you still can't figure out why I'm here?" Barosh let out two strange laughs from his throat, "The one who uses the forbidden spell around here is you, right?"

"Ah, have you been noticed? I deliberately restrained my strength!" Amir showed his usual soft smile again.

"Don't underestimate the Magic Association, I remember that I have warned you more than once." Barosh said coldly, but immediately changed his tone to a brisk tone, "However, since the person who cast the forbidden spell is You, I don't need to continue to investigate, I can go back and report directly."

"So, I actually took your warning to heart, didn't I?" Amir said meaningfully.

Barosh didn't answer, and continued on his own: "Unfortunately, if you could comprehend it a month earlier, the association would have added a young great magician."

"If I comprehend the forbidden spell during the assessment, I'm afraid I will face an identity check next, Your Excellency Baros." Amir's smile remained unchanged, "Age is my biggest shortcoming and my greatest reliance. Would you mind waiting another three years."

"I can't guarantee that I'll be alive after three years." Baros pouted, turned to look at Kiki next to him, and asked casually, "Is this your new apprentice?"

"No, his mentor is Tina." Amir replied, "You also know that not everyone can enter that island. Tina took that poor little girl away, and he can only leave I took care of it."

Barosh's gaze did not linger on Kiki's body, and he asked instead, "You haven't proposed to that girl yet?"

"She is willing to wait until the day I become a great magician." Amir shrugged with a smile, "And, do you think, even if I propose now, will His Excellency Canaan allow it?"

"It seems that you prefer Canaan's position rather than my shady identity." Barosh said mockingly.

"People who grow up in darkness always yearn for light more." Amir replied indifferently.

"Okay, I'll wait and see." Saying that, Baros stood up from his chair, turned and walked towards the door.

"You can sit for a while longer." Amir raised his voice, "I haven't entertained you yet!"

"No need." Barosh waved his hand without looking back, and disappeared out of the tower gate just as abruptly as when he came.

Seeing her disappear, Kiki couldn't help asking: "Who is she?"

"She...she?" Amir was about to answer, but suddenly noticed that Kiki used a female version of her, and raised his eyebrows in surprise, "You said—her?"

"Isn't she a woman?" Keech tilted his head and asked.

"I really don't know." Amir shook his head with a wry smile. "Actually, I only know that he—well, she—her name is Barosh, and she is a necromancer."

"Undead?" Keech repeated this unfamiliar term.

"Yes, Necromancer, a type of dark magic that is different from the four elements." Amir also stood up, "Let's go first, I will explain to you on the way, don't make our driver wait too long."

"Oh." Kiki responded, and got up to get his luggage.

At this moment, Amir suddenly added: "By the way, there is no need to hide the fact that Barosh has been here, but please don't reveal the content of my conversation with her, can you?"

"Okay." Keech nodded happily.Although he didn't intend to tell the matter, Amir's attitude of respectfully asking for his promise made him feel more happy and satisfied.

Kiki carried his luggage no more than when he came, and followed Amir back down the mountain along the mountain road when he came. The ordinary four-wheeled carriage was already waiting there, and the driver was still the same as when he came.

After getting in the car, Amir kept his promise and explained to him the origin of Barosh and what kind of magician a necromancer is.

"Actually, the real classification of magic should be white magic, black magic, and elemental magic. The four systems of magic you have come into contact with now are just the refined classification of natural magic." Amir said, "Necromantic magic is a part of black magic. This kind, in the most straightforward terms, is the magic of dealing with corpses."

Keech couldn't help frowning, thinking, no wonder that guy is so dead.

"Many people mistakenly think that necromancers are magicians who manipulate corpses, but in fact, although they do have the ability to manipulate corpses, they mostly just study corpses." Amir continued, "After all, real corpses are actually very Fragile and not suitable as a weapon at all."

"What's there to study about the corpse?" Keech asked puzzled.

"Only necromancers know about this." Amir shrugged, "However, as far as I know Barosh, he... she is not so much a magician as an unpopular doctor , She has the power to destroy, and she can also save lives like priests and doctors, but the saving process is far less beautiful than the white magic of the Holy See, and even... a bit disgusting."

"Like?" Keech asked.

"Uh, for example, if your arm is broken, you can go to Barosh, and she can put another one on for you, but the source of it is likely to be a corpse that was just dug out from the cemetery." Amir's story Zuo smiled evilly.

——I also have such power.

——Also, there is no need to borrow other people's limbs.

Keech thought about it silently, and because of this, he forgot to ask Barosh why he appeared in Amir's mage's tower.

But after returning to the Magic Association, Amir took the initiative to explain to Tina in front of Kiki that he had cast a forbidden spell and attracted people from the Magic Association to investigate.

"Fortunately, it was Barosh who came. If it was someone else, I'm afraid it would really take a lot of trouble." Amir said happily.

"Baros seems to be going back to the island to live in seclusion. The mage's tower has been built. During the New Year, he has been moving things to the island." Tina said, and then asked, "You can really cast the forbidden spell. ?”

"It's just a thunderstorm." Amir said modestly, "Speaking of which, Little Kiki helped me a lot."

"Oh, what can he help you with?" Tina immediately asked curiously.

Amir immediately followed the pre-agreed rhetoric, telling half-truths and half-truths about Kiki's discovery that the spells of the forbidden spells had "excess" magic sounds.

"Hey, this is the harm of using a broom to cherish yourself!" Tina complained metaphorically, "I told my father that those old antiques in the association should have been taken out to dry, so as not to be full of worms without knowing it. Something happened."

"Forbidden spells are not ordinary magic. From a certain point of view, it would be a good thing if forbidden spells can disappear from this world." Amir said with a smile.

"Before the invention of weapons, human beings would also kill people." Tina said disapprovingly, "The root of evil is human beings, not weapons or magic."

Amir chuckled, but didn't answer.

Tina didn't continue this topic, but instead said: "It's a pity, although you already have the strength of a great magician, you still have to wait another three years to get this title."

"Honey, aren't you willing to wait for me?" Amir immediately raised his eyebrows.

"I'm just complaining that this regulation is unreasonable." Tina blushed, coughed lightly, and said, "The assessment from elementary to advanced is held once a year, why does it take three years for the great magician to submit the assessment again? What about the weird rules for applying?"

"Probably because there are too few magicians who can serve as examiners in the great magician assessment and they are too busy." Amir replied half-jokingly.

The topic turned to gossip and romantic talk. Kiki didn't listen any longer, and turned to the kitchen, asking Avella for delicious pastries to satisfy his hunger.

During the more than a month in Amir's Mage Tower, Kiki was most worried about not being able to return to the Magic Association in time to receive Hill's communication, and what he missed most was the delicious food made by Avella.

People really seem to be greedy, Keech thought. How could he care about these things when he was at home, as long as he could fill his stomach, he would be very satisfied, but when he came to the Magic Association and tasted the real delicacy, after he would no longer be disturbed by hunger, he began to be picky about the types of food and Taste it.

However, Avella seemed happy that Kiki liked the food he cooked, not only gave him a piece of cream cake with fresh fruit, but also specially made him a large chocolate pudding.

That night, Avella took out the New Year's gift she had prepared for Kidge—a whole box of boy's clothes, and forced Kidge to try them on the spot on the grounds that they were worried that they would not fit.

Keech had no choice but to try on everything one by one according to Avella's request. Most of the clothes were beautiful, even a little too beautiful. Many of them were trimmed with lace and gorgeous satin, which made Kiki feel like he had transformed into a doll.

Tina and Amir were also watching, and Tina was watching and commenting, which made Kiki blush, and finally fled with a box of new clothes and hid in her room.

Amir seemed to see Kiki's embarrassment, so he went to Yasha City the next day and brought back some simple regular clothes for Kiki, as well as some underwear for washing.

When he came back this time, Amir directly lived in the room where Hill used to live, and didn’t mention whether he would leave again. Every day, he would help Tina to study magic weapons, or guide Kiki to learn, even Avella Also got a lot of pointers.

But within a few days after returning, Kiki got a very depressing news from Amir——

"Magic apprentices are not allowed to enter and leave the Magic Association freely, and must be accompanied by an adult magician."

Knowing this, Keech was depressed for several days.

Tina definitely wouldn't go out with him, maybe Amir could, but Kiki didn't want him to.

Ever since Amir called Hill a little fox, Kiki felt that Amir lacked affection for Hill.Although he wasn't sure why, he still subconsciously didn't mention Hill in front of Amir, and he didn't want to expose too much about himself and Hill to Amir.

--How to do it?

Keech was depressed but helpless.

Soon, March [-]st finally arrived, and Keech had brought the microphone with him since he got up in the morning, but there was no movement from the microphone until nightfall.

——It can’t be broken, can it?

Keech thought worriedly.

Just as he blew out the candle, changed into his pajamas, and was about to go to bed, the microphone next to his pillow vibrated suddenly.

Keech hurriedly opened the lid, but immediately became nervous again, stunned and didn't know what to say.

"Kiki? Is that you?" Hill's voice came from the megaphone, with a little trill and obviously nervous.

"Hmm." Kiki replied nervously, "Are you... Hill?"

"Of course I am," Hill replied. "Don't tell me you can't hear my voice anymore, and I'll be sad."

"How could it be!" Keech quickly replied.

"That's good." Hill chuckled softly, "I'm sorry to bother you so late, but there are too many things to deal with, and there are always people around, and I have been procrastinating until now to find a chance to talk to you alone —Are you already asleep?"

"Not yet." Keech shook his head subconsciously, remembering that Hill couldn't see it, so he continued, "But it's already gone to bed."

"Ah, sleeping naked?" Hill asked jokingly.

"No! There are people in pajamas!"

"Huh? Since when did Keech have pajamas?"

"Amir bought it for me, and Avella also gave one, but it's all lace, I don't like it."

"Hmm... Actually sleeping naked is more comfortable!"

"Uh, really?"

"You can try it, it's really comfortable!"

"...It feels weird."

"Ha ha!"
