Chapter 18: Transfer
The two returned to their hometown in the afternoon. After Sun Wei introduced Yan Heng's identity embarrassingly, the aunt who came out to greet her became more cautious, for fear that her nephew, a friend with an unusual status, might not be used to it.
After Sun Wei came to the hospital, he stayed with the old man all the time. Seeing his grandmother fixing her injured leg and frowning in pain in a lethargic sleep, Sun Wei felt even more uncomfortable.
Yan Heng stood in the corridor of the hospital, glanced at the dark night outside the window, went straight to the door of the ward, opened the door and walked in.
Sun Wei, who was already drowsy by the hospital bed, raised his head after hearing the sound. When he saw the man's familiar face, Sun Wei withdrew his gaze and continued to doze off.
"Go back, your aunt helped you clean up the room." Yan Heng reached out to support Sun Wei's head that was tilted to one side.
Opening his dry eyes with difficulty, Sun Wei looked at the unconscious person on the hospital bed and shook his head, "I want to stay here with grandma."
The man squeezed Sun Wei's earlobe and continued to persuade: "The hospital in the city will pick him up tomorrow. How can you take care of your grandma if you don't have enough energy tonight? Your eldest aunt is still waiting at home."
"But I don't worry if there is no one watching the night."
"I'll help you guard."
Sun Wei looked up at the man in surprise, "Is this not good?"
"There's nothing wrong with it. I'm here to help you. I don't need to sleep. I'm better than you sleepy."
"It seems to make sense...then...then I will trouble you." Sun Wei was a little embarrassed towards the man who had been resisting.
Yan Heng took Sun Wei's hand and led him out, "I'll take you back." He said and opened the door of the ward.
Following the man all the way to the stairwell, Sun Wei wanted to withdraw his hand, but when he thought of the help from the person in front of him, Sun Wei hesitated again, and didn't make up his mind until he got in the car.
Yan Heng drove the car out of the garage, looked ahead and said to the people around him, "Are you so entangled?"
Sun Wei looked at the man in surprise, "Can you read minds?"
The man hooked his lips and smiled, "Your thoughts are written on your face, you are all mine, and you are so resistant to holding hands?"
Sun Wei, who was still a little drowsy, immediately frowned, "You, what are you talking about? I obviously didn't do it voluntarily. Do you know what age it is now, you old antique? What is your name? It is really feudal, and people are different from ghosts. Do you understand Tu? If you are so arrogant, you will be captured by the mage sooner or later."
Seeing that the man hadn't spoken for a long time, Sun Wei had doubts on his face, "Why didn't you speak?"
Yan Heng turned his face to look at Sun Wei, and said in a meaningful tone: "What are you talking about? I just need to know that you will always stay by my side."
Sun Weiwo muttered softly while looking at the brightly lit night scene in his seat, "That's not necessarily..."
The next day, the ambulance sent by the city transferred the old man to a bigger hospital.
Looking at the luxurious and spacious ward, Sun Wei lamented the medical gap between the countryside and the city. What surprised him even more was that he didn’t know what kind of medicine the doctors in this hospital had used, but the pale man on the ward looked much better. .
Seeing the aunt outside the ward still thanking the man persistently, Sun Wei walked out helplessly.
"Auntie, don't be like this, it's not good looking to stand here." Sun Wei said and glanced at the expressionless man beside him.
The chubby auntie patted Sun Wei on the shoulder, "It's thanks to Mr. Yan this time, otherwise your grandma would have been transferred here. You should be thanking me. You are too rude."
"Auntie, you're welcome. I know Sun Wei very well. I'm glad I can help you." Yan Heng said, turning his gaze to Sun Wei.
Seeing that the man looked like a gentleman, Sun Wei pouted in his heart.
