Marvel's Infinite Personalities
Chapter 025 Principal Dugan
Strictly speaking, the history of SHIELD Academy is actually longer than the existence of SHIELD.
During World War II, SHIELD Academy was originally affiliated with the Strategic Science Corps SSR, one of the predecessors of SHIELD, but it was not called that name at the time.
But one thing has never changed, that is, it has been continuously cultivating the best military talents to continuously provide blood for its main organization.
Nowadays, most students who graduate from here will automatically enter SHIELD.
Only a small number will make other choices, such as continuing to stay in the academy as teachers, or entering some organizations and departments that have a good relationship with SHIELD.
However, these require hospital approval.
Because SHIELD Academy has never required tuition, all the funds it requires are exclusively sponsored by SHIELD.
If you want to study here, you must sign a strict contract with the college. The contract clearly stipulates that your job choice after graduation must be approved by the college.
If the contract is violated, SHIELD Academy has the right to pursue liability
Some people once questioned whether this clause of SHIELD Academy was too overbearing.
But what stands behind SHIELD Academy is SHIELD. For an international semi-official organization like SHIELD, countries all over the world endorse it. Even if it is really the overlord clause, who would dare to test the law?
It would be nice if a semi-official organization like SHIELD didn't actively bully people. Unless people have brain problems, they would confront it because of this kind of thing.
After a few minutes.
Dean Weaver brought Hill and Raymond to her office.
"Coffee or tea?" Dean Weaver asked the two of them as soon as they sat down.
"Coffee bar" Raymond shrugged.
The so-called tea here in North America is English black tea. In comparison, he is more accustomed to coffee.
"Just bring me a glass of warm water." Hill smiled.
"Emily, please prepare two cups of coffee and a cup of warm water, thank you." Dean Weaver pressed the phone on the table and said to the assistant outside the office.
"Ok."
The assistant's response came immediately on the other end of the phone.
Dean Weaver then got back to business and looked at the two of them: "Originally, after Director Fury contacted the college, Principal Dugan planned to come and greet you two personally."
"But he is now in Europe and has encountered some circumstances and cannot leave, so he asked me to express his apology to both of you, and also asked me to extend my warmest welcome to Dr. Raymond on his behalf."
"Senior Dugan is too polite. He is someone all our agents need to learn from. If he came to greet us, we might feel uncomfortable." Hill said with a smile.
Raymond on the side just smiled and nodded, and did not join the conversation immediately.
Because he was digesting the memory of the original owner of the body about the Principal Dugan mentioned by Dean Weaver.
In the memory of the original owner of the body, he only met Principal Dugan once, and that was the last time he got the status of a visiting professor at SHIELD Academy.
There are four branches in SHIELD Academy, namely the Academy of Science, the Academy of Warfare, the Academy of Communications and the Academy of Espionage.
Weaver is the dean of the Academy of Sciences and the only dean among the four major branches who also holds the position of vice president. The person above her is naturally the Principal Dugan she just mentioned.
The original owner of the body didn't actually know very much about Principal Dugan. He only knew that he was an old agent with high qualifications, and he had only met him once.
However, Raymond got a very important piece of information from the memory of the original owner of the body, which was the name of Principal Dugan.
The original owner of the body didn't know this person's background, but Raymond did.
The founder of S.H.I.E.L.D. and one of the oldest agents, he can be traced back to the Strategic Science Corps during World War II. He has fought side by side with Captain America, Agent Carter and others.
If Black Widow and Mei are only slightly legendary, then Principal Dugan can be said to be a living legend.
"No wonder Hill said that Principal Dugan is what all SHIELD agents need to learn from. This is really not an exaggeration." After figuring out the identity of Principal Dugan, Raymond thought to himself.
At this time, Dean Weaver happened to look at him, "Listen to what Director Fury said on the phone, Dr. Raymond, do you plan to officially join the academy when you come back this time?"
"That's right, I'll ask you to take more care of me, Ms. Weaver, from now on." Raymond nodded.
As for the official joining, Fury had called him early this morning and told him in advance what he was saying with SHIELD Academy to avoid discrepancies between the two sides.
Of course, Fury did not tell the truth to the academy, because the Tahiti Project was a secret even within SHIELD, let alone the academy.
Maybe Fury would secretly communicate with Principal Dugan and explain the real situation, but other than that, even Dean Weaver in front of him probably didn't know the truth.
Raymond naturally didn't care about this, so he just did whatever Fury said.
All he has to do is nod cooperatively.
Upon hearing Raymond's confirmation of this situation, Dean Weaver said happily: "That's great. In fact, I had the idea of Dr. Raymond joining the college before, but I didn't expect it to come true."
"With the joining of Dr. Raymond, a big shot in psychology, our SHIELD Academy can finally straighten up in the field of psychology."
"Ms. Weaver, if you praise me like that again, I will really float." Raymond joked.
"I'm just telling the truth."
Dean Weaver smiled, and then continued, "I will ask them to help with the entry procedures in a moment. Dr. Raymond, all you need to do is sign. It's quite simple, but."
Seeing that Dean Weaver was hesitant to speak, Raymond said directly: "If you have any questions, Ms. Weaver can just say it. It's okay."
Dean Weaver nodded when he heard this, organized his language and continued: "That's right, because Dr. Raymond, you were a visiting professor of the college before, so it doesn't matter which college you are in when you start the class."
"But now if you want to officially join the job, you have to choose a college to be stationed. I don't know, Dr. Raymond, if you want to come to our Academy of Sciences or go to the Communications Institute next door."
"Of course, as the dean of the Academy of Sciences, I strongly welcome Dr. Raymond to our Academy of Sciences, but I can't say too much here, lest those guys come back and say that I am taking advantage of my authority to secretly recruit people. ”
