Elf Story from Another World
Chapter 49: Boring days (2)
Chapter 49
Lowenstein and Ennardez sat in the room for a week. During this week, they consulted hundreds of ancient books and discussed thousands of possibilities, just to figure out what was carved on the rib. What a magic.
Nasha yawned and read drowsily while holding a storybook next to her. Seeing Lowenstein and Ennardez chatting happily, she couldn't help but feel a little depressed.
She didn't come here to listen to the conversation between these two old guys, although she told her father that she came here to learn.
But it was actually for the notebook Lowenstein placed on the table.
There are many thick leather notebooks in this house. It should be said that I got them from here. The owner of this book is the cowardly elf Oyue...
I really didn't expect that Lowenstein would remember to bring Oyue's diary under such circumstances, and stuffed it directly into the big pocket of his robe afterwards.
The pockets of the robe are quite big, and you can't feel anything if you put something in them.
So when Lowenstein got here, he remembered that he had forgotten to give the diary to Schkalo and asked him to help transfer it to the little guy, so he put it on the side of the table and thought of taking it with him when he left.
Then Nasha found out about this.
And when she arrived, she realized that the crow mask she gave to Ouyue had not been brought back. It seems that because the elf said that he could make a better mask for him when he returned, Lowenstein returned it to her. It happened that the black fire burned all the other masks she bought, so leaving one on the wall was better than none.
This made Nasha feel unhappy. It felt like the gift she had prepared so hard was returned because she didn't like it.
So she stuffed the mask into her bedside table, hoping to give it to him again the next time they met.
And Nasha had thought about it, if that guy Ou Yue dared not to give up, she would kill him.
But that will happen in the future. Nasha just wants to get the diary now.
The main reason she wanted to do this was because she was too busy. Her father was still chatting with this guy, so he probably didn't even have time to teach her magic. If you want to relieve your boredom, you can only read those fairy tale books.
But she never liked fairy tales, so Nasha had to find something to do.
For example, stealing something from two of the world's top magicians would be so interesting, right?
But when she actually did it, she realized how difficult it was.
These two guys didn't even turn their heads except getting up to get ancient books from the nearby bookshelf. They said something Nasha couldn't understand. Sometimes there are even two mantras mixed in.
In order for the whole process to proceed smoothly, Nasha first prepared an identical notebook for herself. There were many such notebooks in the villa, so she mixed them with fairy tale books and brought them over and put them next to them. When you find a gap, just use this exact same book and swap it out.
Sounds simple.
But in fact, the process got stuck at the first step, because the two guys seemed determined to rot with the bone, even without sleeping.
So Nasha stayed on this chair for almost several days without even a chance to make a move.
Suddenly, the two old guys stretched out at the same time and collapsed on their chairs.
"Cracked" Nasha pretended to run over and asked curiously.
"Yes." Ennardez said proudly: "After knowing the spell, you need to understand the operating mode of the elements. That is very simple. If you are quick, you can solve it in one night."
After finishing speaking, he closed his eyes and looked very tired: "Call me while you are eating, and I will take a nap first."
"Go to sleep peacefully." Nasha said cheerfully, then glanced at Lowenstein who was also asleep, carefully pulled out the book that had been prepared long ago from the stack of books, and quickly swapped it.
Lowenstein didn't even open his eyes during the whole process, which made Nasha a little dissatisfied, thinking to herself, I've been sitting here for several days in vain.
But the process didn't matter, she got what she needed anyway.
Just as she was secretly rejoicing, the door was suddenly pushed open violently, and two elves rushed in.
This incident made the two old guys wake up again. Before they could say anything, the two elves immediately announced their homes:
"Dear lord, we have no intention of offending." One of them bowed slightly and said, "We are here to pick up his uncle Lowenstein on Shkarlo's instructions."
Lowenstein was about to get up and run away, but two elves rushed up to him, each with an arm, and pressed him to the table.
"I'm sorry, we have official business, please forgive me." After saying that, they pressed Lowenstein and left.
"Wait a minute, our research is almost done." Lowenstein said reluctantly, but the two guys were not swayed by this.
"Senior, the instructions we received are for you to bring them back immediately." One of them said, "The sooner the better."
Ennardez watched them leave like this, without even waiting for him to say a word, so he could only wave to him from a distance as a farewell.
Nasha glanced at the notebook on the table speechlessly and sighed.
They left in such a hurry that they didn't even come to let Lowenstein pack his things.
So that "diary" is still lying there, fine, as if it had been abandoned.
"It seems that I have to conduct the second half of the research by myself." Enardez stretched and said, "That's fine, it's not a troublesome thing anyway."
"Then when did you start teaching me magic?" Nasha suddenly asked, "I haven't learned it for a long time."
"Be good, I'll teach you when I finish this research." He was a little surprised that his daughter would actually ask to learn those complicated spells, so Ennardez bent down and touched her head: "What a good child, You’ll make me proud in the future.”
"Don't you often say that I cause trouble?" Nasha made a face at him.
"Haha, one code equals one code." In fact, Ennardez really wanted to say something right now: I also think you often cause trouble.
But considering that he would be beaten by her, Ennardez swallowed the words back.
Nasha was too lazy to care about him and planned to go back with the diary she brought.
"What are you holding in your hand?" Suddenly, Enardez looked at the book in her hand and was stunned.
"I won't tell you." Nasha turned around and made a face at him again.
Ennardez rubbed his head helplessly. He had no choice but to force himself to accept the fact that this naughty devil was his daughter.
Seriously, her behavior is a bit hard for most vampires to accept sometimes. If killing is a last resort for other vampires, then for this cute little girl, it is nothing more than an interesting game.
Nasha quickly ran back to her room, jumped on the bed, and rolled around comfortably.
After sitting for the past few days, her whole body was as tired as a fixed machine, and it felt like it was falling apart even if she moved even slightly.
Then she took out the diary she had finally obtained, and after flipping through it a few times, she put it aside and looked at the ceiling boredly.
That little guy wrote something in elven script, it's a damned thing if he can understand it.
She couldn't read Elvish and was too lazy to learn it. She took this book for fun, but now that she has it, the fun has disappeared.
Nasha put the notebook in her bedside table, together with the crow mask, hoping to see the elf named Ouyue again one day, and then give it to him together.
But as for when we can see him?
I heard from my father that the guy named Lowenstein only came here once every ten years.
Oh, ten years.
Nasha slapped her head with one hand and sighed helplessly.
Ten years is nothing to either an elf or a vampire. But she is only nine years old now. In other words, it would take another year equivalent to her birth before she could see him again.
Nasha got up from the bed, moved a chair and lay on the window sill, staring at the stars in the sky in a daze.
The weather today is very good, cloudless, perfect for stargazing.
The starry sky is a rare beautiful thing in this world. Anyone who sees the stars in the sky will feel sincere joy.
It was also when Nasha sat on the edge of the cliff with Ouyue that she knew for the first time that there was such a thing in the sky.
Before he came, her life had been the same.
Her usual communication is almost limited to talking to her father and her mother to herself.
There is also the pet that his father got for him. The fate of those cute creatures is surprisingly similar.
They will be raised normally for a few days first, and Nasha likes to observe their emotions separately. Such as joy, anger or despair.
This kind of life easily made her develop an almost morbid mentality, and watching the death of living things became this child's entertainment at a very young age.
Nasha suddenly smiled as she thought about Aoyue.
Such a cute child, I wonder what it’s like inside
Having said that, she had never seen an elf corpse before. This made her suddenly interested in using a knife to cut open his stomach to see what was inside.
She suddenly covered her mouth, as if to hide the smile, but this was not something that was easy to hold back. She wanted to suppress this expression, but the corners of her mouth still unconsciously rose until she reached her ears.
Nasha licked her dry lips, thinking about the feeling of Oyue's blood flowing across her tongue, and she couldn't help but feel thirsty.
Then she smiled helplessly, got down from the chair, jumped to the shelf at the door with brisk steps, picked a bottle of blood and poured a large glass.
Nasha picked up the goblet, slowly walked to the window, and opened the window, which had not been opened since the construction was completed.
The sea breeze blew in my face, and the fishy smell mixed with dead fish carcasses and sea salt instantly filled the room.
Nasha's long white hair was blown away by the wind and scattered in the air. The skirt of her pajamas trembled slightly, and her slender arms held a cup of bright red blood.
The blood in the glass swayed slightly, reflecting the girl's eyes. There seemed to be a devil hiding in those demonic red eyes.
"Although I don't know where you are." Nasha said softly, "But I hope I can have a chance to see you again."
Then she exerted force, the cup in her hand shattered, and the blood spread in the air, like a gorgeous red flower.
The blood dyed Nasha's hand red, but she was very careful not to let it touch the white nightgown.
Nasha waved her hand, and when her red hand passed through the air, she actually wrote words. Those words were like ancient spells from the previous era, ferocious and vicious.
"I take this as a sacrifice, wishing you well." She said softly, and then flicked the words in the air.
The red words seemed to suddenly come to life, twisting and turning into petals. They slowly floated away, but instead of falling with gravity, they slowly rose, forming a flower path leading to the sky.
Although this process makes people feel uncomfortable, it is indeed a blessing from a vampire to a friend, but the method is a little special.
This is what they do when they really have something that can be called friendship for someone. Legend has it that the petals of this kind of flower can slowly float to friends far away, conveying one's feelings to them.
Although this is just a legend, it does not prevent these guys from treating this as their most sincere blessing. After Lowenstein and Ennardez met, Ennardez did something similar when they separated.
But Lowenstein later said he didn't see any petals floating over.
Dawn is coming, and after the petals slowly float away, far away on the horizon, the crimson sun slowly rises, and the entire sky is slowly dyed red.
Nasha likes to watch the sunrise. The sun at this time is not as strong as at noon, nor is it as desolate as at dusk.
If I could describe it in one word, perhaps it would be life.
She closed the window and drew the curtains to prevent the light from disturbing her sleep.
The sunrise also meant that she needed to rest.
Although other vampires will stay up until after ten o'clock in the morning, it is not too late as long as it is before noon, the hottest time.
But she is a child, and her father said that she must get enough sleep to grow taller.
Nasha drank the remaining blood in the bottle, then lay down on the bed, covered herself with a quilt, and fell asleep sweetly.
Maybe she'll have some interesting dreams
For example, right now, she was dreaming that she was standing on the ground stained red with blood, and corpses all over the mountains and plains were slowly rotting under the scorching sun. Crows were flying in, squawking, and eating the bones that no one wanted.
The corners of Nasha's mouth raised slightly, it seemed that she liked this dream very much.
Perhaps in the near future, everything in the dream will become a reality. Amidst the crying all day long and the sky red by the war, she will be sung by singers in the image of the devil.
