Elf Story from Another World
Chapter 1: Twins of Light and Darkness (1)
Chapter One
Warm light filled the forest, filtering through the gaps in the leaves, leaving dots of light on the green grass.
The chirping sound of birds came from a little creature with feathers that looked like the robes of a prosperous world. It stepped on a white giant beast and sang a beautiful song.
This white giant beast has a lizard body and huge wings. This is a white giant dragon. The head hanging on its long neck collapsed directly on the grass, and its body rose and fell slowly, as if it was sleeping.
The bird was chirping noisily on his body, as if it wanted to call him a game. It jumped lightly twice and pecked its skin a few times with its small edge. Then he continued to chirp.
Suddenly, the eyes on his head suddenly opened, and the green vertical pupils in the huge eyes looked at the little thing jumping in front of him.
The little bird was not afraid of the big guy's eyes. It jumped forward twice and called loudly twice, as if to demonstrate.
The dragon narrowed his eyes, looking impatient. It took a deep breath, and the huge air pressure ruffled the feathers all over the bird's body.
Chirping, the bird cried out unhappily.
After a while, the huge air current blew it far away
The dragon opened its mouth and yawned, as if he hadn't woken up yet. It tilted its head and looked at a village not far away, blinking.
This is an interesting village. Every house is next to a big tree. There are new buds growing on the wooden houses, and they all have strange shapes. The same is true for the road, just like the house has long branches growing out, and then some stones are placed in the middle of the branches.
Elk with long antlers roamed freely in the village, and some even slept directly on the road. There is a fountain in the middle. The material of this fountain is actually wood, or a tree that sprays water all the time. The spray of water ripples out from the edge, supporting the surrounding flowers and plants.
People living in this village gathered in front of the largest house in the village today. They looked at the house without saying a word at the door. Even if someone spoke, it was a whisper close to the other person's ear.
These people, both men and women, are so beautiful that it makes people feel unreal. They were wearing all kinds of clothes, their brown hair was tied up long, their skin was crystal clear, their faces were as delicate as white jade, and their facial features were just right. Especially those eyes, they are like gems.
The long ears mark their identity. They are elves, or in other words, high elves.
This forest is within the sphere of influence of the elves. It is peaceful and peaceful here inland, and everyone is carefree.
Today is a big day for the whole village, because another elf is going to be born into the world.
Elves are a very magical race, they have a lifespan of up to three hundred years. It will take twenty years to grow from childhood to adulthood, and then for nearly two hundred years, even the appearance will not change at all.
The reproduction of elves is close to a hundred years old, and few elves can have more than two children.
They reproduce so slowly that every time a new life comes, they treat it as a grand festival.
Just like today, there is a huge open space less than a hundred meters away from the village. It is the square of the village and is usually a place for entertainment and play.
Today, a feast and flowers were arranged there to celebrate the life that was about to be born.
The door of the room opened slowly, and a female elf was holding a basket in her arms. Their eyes were full of excitement, as if they would cheer loudly if it weren't for the little life in their arms that was still sleeping.
Everyone almost rushed forward, vying to squeeze together to see this new child in this world.
Suddenly, everyone stopped talking and just looked at the things in the basket in a daze.
There were two baby boys sleeping soundly in the big basket. They had inherited all the fine traditions of the elves and were so beautiful when they were born.
"Twins" An elf looked at them who looked exactly the same, with joy in his eyes.
And this joy, when seeing the patterns on their foreheads, instantly seemed to overflow.
The only difference between them is the pattern on their foreheads. The baby on the right has a golden pattern on its head, while its brother is as black as night.
"Elemental elves?" The elves watching looked at the two of them and said with a trembling voice.
"Well, you can't be wrong." The other one looked at the baby, his voice trembling with excitement.
"Do they have names?" someone said, looking up at the elf holding it.
"We have to wait until the child's mother wakes up before deciding." Her voice was as soft as the spring breeze. She looked at the two lovely children: "They will become great elves."
"Because they are the descendants of light and darkness respectively."
Everyone was chirping and looking at the two children in the basket with interest, as if that was the future of the elves.
Time flies.
Ten years is just a blink of an eye.
"Brother, what are you reading?" A thin little boy squatted down and asked the boy who was leaning on the book and reading.
The boy leaning against the tree took his eyes away from the book for a few seconds and looked at the boy next to him who looked exactly like him: "Reading a storybook."
"Reading is so boring, can you play with me for a while~" The boy next to him pulled his arm and said in a long tone, as if he was coquettishly.
"Oyue, you just finished your lunch, at least wait for the food to be eaten." The boy reading the book smiled bitterly and touched his head: "Otherwise, it will be easy for indigestion."
The boy named Oyue has a dark pattern on his head, and the excellent genes of the elves are most perfectly reflected in him. That face is beautiful and cute. It really doesn't look like a little boy, but more like a beautiful little girl.
His older brother, the one leaning on the tree reading, is called Ori. Except for the different colors of the patterns on his head, he is exactly the same as his younger brother.
"Well, can I watch it with you?" Ouyue asked cautiously.
Ori nodded helplessly, and a moment later, Ouyue slipped into his arms and snuggled against his body, while looking at the book curiously with her big eyes open.
"What is it about?" Ou Yue blinked and asked, "It seems quite interesting."
"It records the story of the hero Manrold." Ori looked at the text in the book and turned a few pages: "It tells the story of the war years."
"What is war?" Ouyue tilted her head and looked at her brother: "Brother, what is war?"
"It's just a fight, but a lot of people are involved." Ori scratched his head: "I really don't know how to explain it."
"Why are we fighting?" Ou Yue asked puzzledly, "Why don't we all play together?"
"Because I don't know very well." Ori shrugged helplessly: "Mom never told me."
"Oh" Ouyue raised his head and looked at the tree crown in a daze. The midday sun fell on him through the gaps in the leaves.
Then he shook his head and lowered his head to read the book.
"Have you studied magic well?" Ori asked casually.
"Well, it's not that difficult anyway." Ouyue raised her hand and chanted a few words softly, and a black ball gathered in her hand.
Then he played with this dark stone-like thing like plasticine: "Why should I learn these things?"
This is the embodiment of elements. Generally speaking, it takes thirty years for a normal person to reach this level. But Ouyue was able to do it easily the first time.
Because he is an elemental spirit, he was born to be favored. He is a child born with a liking for dark elements.
"You have to ask mom about this." Ori couldn't stand it anymore. He wanted to read quietly after eating, but his brother was really annoying and he couldn't stand it anymore.
"Have you fed the big guy?" He suddenly had an idea and thought of an idea to calm himself down.
"Ah, not yet." Ouyue suddenly remembered something, got up from him, and patted the dust on his body: "Let's go together."
"I want to read a book." Ori raised the thing in his hand: "Go by yourself."
Ouyue looked at his brother blinking his big watery eyes, looking like he was about to cry: "Come with me~ It's boring for me to go alone."
Ori couldn't stand it anymore, he sighed with abandonment, and then got up from the ground: "Okay, okay, I won't read the book."
Ouyue scratched her head in embarrassment: "Thank you, brother."
"Why would I care about a brother like you?" Ori rubbed his head helplessly: "Go get some food first. We just harvested the apples this morning. Let's feed that one today."
"Okay, let's see who gets there first." Ou Yue turned around and ran out.
"Hey, you're cheating." Ori shouted with a smile, and ran out at the same time.
The two children were running and talking and laughing, and their laughter could be heard a hundred meters away. They are like the warm breeze in spring, making people feel the beauty of the world just by looking at them.
The big guy they were talking about was a dragon, a huge elven dragon. It has settled here since a long time ago, and its temperament is quite gentle. Throwing stones at it is fine, of course, but throwing fireballs is another matter.
Wherever the elves are, even the poorest ecological environment can be improved, let alone a forest like this that has a long history. When the Elf Dragon discovered the appearance of these little guys, its living environment became better and better, and sometimes they would bring food to them, so there was no reason to be hostile to them.
It is almost a thousand years old, which is quite old among the dragon clan. So now it lies on the ground basking in the sun all day long, not even bothering to stand up.
So it simply lived by the river. When it was thirsty, it would tilt its head and take a few sips. When it was hungry, those little guys often brought food to it, so there was no reason to hunt anymore.
In return, the elven dragon will make all outsiders who dare to act recklessly here receive the punishment they deserve. And with its sanity, it has long been able to speak the common language of this world, and it doesn't mind sharing with these elves some of the spells it has learned over the long years.
Suddenly, it seemed to hear chirping voices, like birds chirping, which sounded really annoying.
It let out a long sigh, thinking that it would never be able to sleep well again.
The elf dragon opened one of his eyes and looked at the brothers pushing the rickshaw and tricycle, talking and laughing all the way. He moved his nose.
Well it's Apple.
It thought speechlessly that those guys cast a spell on the apple trees every day to accelerate growth, so they harvested them once a day and couldn't finish them all.
But apples that can't be eaten at all are unattractive. How could those guys be complete vegetarians and end up eating fruits that have lasted hundreds of years?
It was so full of random thoughts that these two little guys came to it.
"Big White Dragon, let's bring apples here." Aoyue went up, hugged its head, and touched the smooth scales on it: "Your scales feel so smooth and comfortable."
"Why apples." The Elf Dragon raised his head and put his head into one of the carts.
Its sound was like a loud bell, even though it was so close, it sounded like it was thousands of miles away.
"Because I harvested apples this morning." Ouyue answered truthfully: "You are not used to having other things."
"Oh, tell me."
"Pear, orange, grape, lychee" Ouyue stretched out her hand and counted them.
"Ah, you can't think about other foods besides fruits, such as roasted rabbits," the elf dragon said helplessly.
"Rabbit is so cute, why do you want to eat it?" Ou Yue blinked his big eyes and looked at the elf dragon and asked.
"Well, I really don't know how to answer your question." The Elf Dragon said helplessly.
Ori couldn't help but feel amused when he saw his brother chasing after the big guy and asking questions.
Suddenly, he thought of the book he had just read. He looked at the giant dragon and said, "You have lived for a long time, right?"
"Almost, it's been a long time." The Elf Dragon nodded his huge head: "What's wrong? Is anything wrong?"
"I want to ask you some questions." Ori looked at him expectantly, making this big guy not sure how to refuse.
"As long as I know, I will never hide it." The Elf Dragon raised his paw: "I swear to the gods."
"I read in a book that more than a thousand years ago, why was there war in this world?" Ori looked up at the elf dragon and said, "Do you know?"
"I know, I know, but it's been too long, and I don't remember it very clearly." The Elf Dragon put his head on the ground and moved it: "Do you want to hear a story?"
"I want to." Ori and Ouyue took a step forward at the same time, with curiosity written all over their faces.
"Then brush my scales for me, and I'll tell you after you finish." After finishing speaking, the Elf Dragon closed his eyes and exhaled a long breath.
Thinking about the distant past, it couldn't help but feel helpless for a while, thinking about what it should say to these two cute little guys.
War? How long ago was that?
