After Hua Yu and Zhang Qiling left Mr. Dong, they strolled around the streets of Baimagang before returning to the hostel.

A young lama was standing at the door of the hotel, with their luggage beside him.

"Master knew you were coming, so he asked me to wait for the two distinguished guests again."

"Then I'll trouble you, Master, to take us to find Lama Deren."

Zhang Qiling picked up the luggage on the ground and followed the little lama and Hua Yu. The three of them left Baimagang together.

Hua Yu revisited the old place, looked at the familiar Lama Temple, and reached out to hold Zhang Qiling's hand.

"Brother, we are here."

"You are finally here." Lama Deren looked at Hua Yu and Zhang Qiling who walked into the temple.

"Someone has been waiting for you for a long time, but you can't go see her now." Lama Deren looked at Zhang Qiling.

"Do you know why we are here?" Zhang Qiling looked at the old man in front of him.

"Brother, he knows why we are here. He knew it from the very beginning." Hua Yu certainly understood why Lama Deren did not let Zhang Qiling meet his mother immediately.

"Brother, you were born here, and it was Lama Deren who delivered you."

"I haven't seen this young master for a long time. It seems that you have taken good care of him. At least he is not like a stone now, without everything a human should have." Lama Deren smiled and looked at Hua Yu who was standing next to Zhang Qiling.

"Indeed, but apart from me, everything else to him is like a passing cloud, without any ripples." Hua Yu has been with Zhang Qiling for so long and knows best what kind of person Zhang Qiling is.

Hua Yu can say with certainty that Zhang Qiling's emotions fluctuate only around him, and no one or anything else can arouse the slightest emotion in Zhang Qiling.

Zhang Qiling has no idea about friendship, love, or family affection. He has none of the seven emotions and six desires that a person should have, as if he has no desire for this world at all.

"That's why I stopped him. He didn't have anything, so what if he really saw it?"

"In that case, what difference does it make whether we see him or not?"

"Only when he knows what he wants can I let him see her." After saying this, Lama Deren left.

The little lama took Hua Yu and Zhang Qiling to the side room and let them stay there for a while.

Hua Yu held Zhang Qiling's hand tightly and never let go. After the little lama left, Hua Yu hugged Zhang Qiling.

"Brother, it's okay. We have a lot of time. We can slowly understand what Lama Nur Rinpoche said."

Zhang Qiling understood what Lama Deren said, but there was no ripple in his heart. He didn’t know what he was thinking. Was it the same thought as when he left Huayu before?

Maybe not. Zhang Qiling didn’t understand what Lama Deren was thinking, but he didn’t want to make Hua Yu sad.

Zhang Qiling and Hua Yu changed into the clothes that Lama Deren had asked the little lama to leave in the room.

After changing their clothes, the two followed the little lama and wandered around the lama temple.

It gets dark quickly here. After dinner, Hua Yu and Zhang Qiling sat in front of the entrance of the Lama temple.

"Brother, when you were still in your mother's belly, she sat here with your father. They sat like this, from day to night, and from night to dawn. They just sat like that quietly, and no one said a word."

"At that time, I didn't know why they could do it for so long, but later I understood that they were all spending their final moments together in their own way."

"When your father came back that day, he was in a mess, but your mother didn't seem to complain. She just quietly washed the wounds on his body and changed him into the new clothes she had made. Then the two of them just sat there."

"Your mother seemed to have known the outcome when your father came back, and she accepted the predetermined fate calmly."

Hua Yu sat beside Zhang Qiling, watching the night that was different from that in Peking with him, and whispered to him about what he saw of his father and mother when he was here.

The night is beautiful tonight, Hua Yu leaned on Zhang Qiling's shoulder.

"Brother, your mother loves you very much, but she didn't have time to tell you. She had thought of many names for you, but she felt that each name could not fully describe her treasure. She only had time to give you a nickname, Xiaoguan. In Tibetan, Xiaoguan means precious."

"So brother, you are not an unwanted child. You are a child born out of the hope and love of your father and mother."

In the following days, Zhang Qiling and Hua Yu went out early and came back late every day. In the morning, Hua Yu accompanied Zhang Qiling to see the scenery around the Lama Temple, and in the evening, Zhang Qiling accompanied Hua Yu to paint in the room.

Zhang Qiling would only take a look at the stone placed in the courtyard when it was late at night and Hua Yu was sleeping soundly. But when he picked up the tools, he didn't know where to start.

Lama Deren stood not far away and looked at Zhang Qiling who was holding the tools but didn't know where to start. He just smiled and didn't answer his questions or disturb them.
