The most powerful wizard in the magic world

Chapter 93 Suppressing Sadness

In the corridor of Helka Academy, those dead leaves were like companions devoured by the flames of war, taking away not only their lives, but also their dreams and hopes. She felt a gust of cold wind blowing, breaking her meditation. Gerlin's voice came from behind, interrupting her thoughts.

"Nas, are you okay?" Gerlin nodded slightly, with concern flashing in his eyes.

Nas turned around and tried to force a smile. "I'm fine, but... I missed Gulicha and Dodoriel." She paused, a trace of sadness flashing in her eyes. "If it weren't for the martial law, we might have been able to escape further."

"I understand how you feel." Gerling's tone softened. "The shadow of war hangs over each of us, but we cannot let fear dominate us. If we give up our courage, evil will spread to more lives."

"Courage..." Nas repeated softly, as if she was looking for some kind of strength. She took a deep breath and looked determined: "I want to do something for my comrades. I can't just give up their memories like this."

"I am touched by your determination." Gerlin nodded. "We can organize a team to explore the situation around the academy and help the survivors as much as possible. Would you be willing to join?"

"Of course! I'm not alone." Nas responded, a passion igniting in her heart. "I will gather others, and I believe they will also be willing to participate."

A few minutes later, Nas quickly found Karl and Lina. Karl's face was still tired after the battle, while Lina looked a little uneasy. Nas's enthusiasm made their eyes sparkle.

"We need to form a team to help our companions who are still outside." Nas said firmly.

Karl nodded. Although he looked tired, the determination in his eyes reassured Nas. "I'll go with you. Since the teachers have given us a warning and can save some students, we can't give up hope."

Lina took a deep breath and said slowly: "But the situation outside is very dangerous, what if we encounter the enemy?"

Nas looked at Lina with a determined look: "It's better than doing nothing. Time waits for no one. Our companions need us. We may not be able to change the war, but at least we can do something."

After a brief discussion, the team was formed. Nas, Carl and Lina formed an expedition team. They decided to go through the walls of the academy to find survivors and bring back hope and information to the academy.

The sky gradually darkened, night fell, and the silence around made people feel even more heavy. They walked out of the academy carefully, and the world after passing through the wall was a completely different scene. The once prosperous world was now in ruins. The traces of the fire were still faintly visible on the ground, and the air was filled with a burnt smell.

"This is... our former home." Carl muttered, with a trace of uncontrollable sadness in his eyes.

"We can't stop, we have to keep moving forward." Nas encouraged. Although she herself could feel the pain, she understood that she had to be stronger as she carried the expectations of her comrades.

Along the way, they heard faint gunshots and explosions several times. They tacitly lowered the noise and searched for possible survivors.

"Did you hear that?" Lina suddenly stopped and pricked up her ears.

"It came from over there." Carl pointed to the ruins ahead, and a faint hope was aroused in his heart. They groped in the dark and finally found several surviving classmates behind an abandoned building. They were hiding in a hidden corner with fear on their faces.

"Who are you?" A sturdy man stood up and stared at them warily.

"We are students from Helka College!" Nas explained hastily, "We are here to find survivors and take you back!"

"How did you find this place?" The sturdy man's expression relaxed a little. "There are dangers everywhere outside."

"We took risks to come here. If you are willing, please come back with us." Nas' tone was full of sincerity. She saw her companions' dirty bodies and felt a pang of pain in her heart.

"But... we've become accustomed to staying here. There are unforeseen dangers outside." A thin girl retorted.

"We have seen too many unforeseen dangers. Staying here won't solve any problems." Nas looked at her hard. "We have to face it together. Only in this way can we survive."

After hearing Nas's words, the strong man was silent for a moment, then nodded: "Okay, we will go with you, but we must be careful."

The four of them walked on the streets full of destruction, Nas prayed silently in her heart, hoping to return to the academy safely. The environment outside was still harsh, and the silence of the night could arouse fear in people's hearts. However, as she came into contact with her new partners, Nas's courage gradually accumulated.

"Let me tell you, the gunshots we heard before may have come from the warehouse in the north, where there is a group of enemy troops active." The sturdy man reminded.

"If we go there, we must be prepared for the response." Nasi analyzed calmly, "We can split up and move our troops. One team will investigate the situation, and the rest will stay in a safe area."

Karl and Lina exchanged glances, obviously agreeing with this suggestion. In this quiet and tense night, Nas's voice became more firm as she decided the future path: "No matter what we face, we can't give up."
