The most powerful wizard in the magic world

Chapter 49 1 Cherish Everything

Markles stood in front of the gate of the City Lord's Mansion. The sunlight shone through the branches and leaves, casting mottled shadows on his slightly rosy cheeks.

The tall figure looked particularly upright in the early autumn afternoon, and his hands were rubbing their fingers excitedly, as if waiting for some important moment. At this moment, his sight passed through the garden and saw a familiar figure in the distance - Gerling was walking towards him.

"Gerlin!" Markles shouted excitedly, his voice as clear and loud as the morning bell.

When Gerlin heard the call, he looked up and a gentle smile immediately appeared on his face. "Markles, long time no see!" he said, and walked quickly forward. The two hugged each other, as if this moment of reunion had awakened all the memories of the past.

"I've been thinking about you, and the whole city is looking forward to your return." Markles let go of Gerlin, his eyes full of sincere joy.

Gerling smiled and said, "Me too. No matter where I go, I always keep this place and you in my heart."

"Then why don't we go for a walk in the garden. I've renovated it over the past few months. I hope you like it." Markles said proudly, raising his hand to guide him in the direction of the garden.

The two walked into the garden side by side, and Markles began to introduce the new plants and arrangements to Gerling, "These are the newly planted sunflowers. They bloom very brightly in the sun. Look, even the bees are here."

Gerling looked in the direction of his finger. The sunflowers were swaying in the breeze, like little golden trumpets, whispering softly under the push of the wind. "They are really beautiful. They seem to be welcoming me."

"I'll take you to see the rose garden later. I specially planted your favorite variety." Markles' face was full of anticipation, and his inner joy was beyond words.

"You are such a considerate friend." Gerlin looked at Markles affectionately, his heart filled with warmth. "We really should spend more time talking. I want to hear everything you have said about the past."

"Of course. I've encountered some difficulties in the past few months, but when I think about your coming back, everything becomes easier." Markles' tone became serious. He stopped and looked into Gerlin's eyes. "Things are not as smooth as expected."

"What's the matter?" Gerling asked with concern, frowning slightly.

"Some merchants in this city want to build a large trading market outside the City Lord's Mansion. This will affect our current quality of life. I'm worried that if they come in, the economy of the entire Gerli City will be impacted." Markles' voice was filled with helplessness.

"It does sound tricky." Gerling nodded seriously. "We should find a way to solve it. After all, our friendship is closely related to the future of this city."

"That's exactly what I thought." Markles' eyes sparkled. "As a flower merchant, you have enhanced the city's reputation. The profits these merchants make outside the city cannot compare to our long-term interests."

"Then we need to work together and mobilize others to support our position." Gerling said firmly, "I hope we can bring better choices to everyone instead of letting these businessmen dominate our lives."

"You're right," Markles said with a smile, full of hope, "As long as we work together, we will definitely find a suitable solution."

As they were discussing, Gerling's eyes were attracted by a dazzling fountain, the water reflecting colorful light under the sunlight. He immediately turned his head and said excitedly: "This fountain is really wonderful, the water dances like a celebration!"

"Haha, as long as you think it looks good, I also participated in some of the design." Markles said with a hint of pride, "I want it to become the soul of this garden."

"You did a great job!" Gerling gave a thumbs up, his eyes sparkling with appreciation. "Not only this fountain, but the whole garden is full of your love and care."

"Thank you for your recognition, Gerlin." Markles smiled slightly, "I feel extremely happy to be able to share this with you."

In the following days, they strolled through the garden, talking about the past and the future, admiring the blooming flowers, and the breeze gently brushed their faces, bringing bursts of fragrance.

"It would be great if time could stop at this moment," Gellin said with emotion, his words revealing his cherishment of all this.

"We might as well turn this feeling into action," Markles suggested. "In the coming days, we can work together to make the city a better place. We can hold a cultural festival to attract more people to Gurley City."

"This is a great idea!" Gerling's eyes flashed with excitement. "We can invite surrounding towns to participate and showcase our culture and friendship."

"Yes! And then there's our flower show," Markles added, full of imagination, "when the whole town will unite around our ideals."

"I believe we can do it!" Gelling applauded with a bright smile, "I am glad to work with you again."

Time passed slowly, the sun gradually shone through the lush treetops, and the heated discussion never stopped. The two old friends stood in the flowerbed, their hearts full of hope and longing, and their friendship became more and more gorgeous like those flowers competing for beauty.
