Gerling sat at the workbench, the dim light shining on the faintly glowing Fallen Star Pendant in his hand. This unfinished product in his hand seemed to carry the secrets of the entire universe. Although it was not yet completed, he could already feel a trace of mysterious power calling to him.

"Gerlin, are you still worried about that thing?" Irene walked in, her voice was like a breeze, dispelling the haze in Gerlin's heart. Her eyes were bright, and there was a faint smile on her face.

"Erin, I think I'm almost there," Gerlin raised his head, a little tired but full of hope, "However, the last step may still require some special materials, which I don't have on hand."

"Special materials?" Irene frowned. "Are you talking about the rare minerals that can enhance mana and increase energy fluctuations?"

"Yes, we have seen several of them when we were exploring the Thunder Mountains before, especially one of them, the lightning stone, which can help this prop to take final shape." Gerlin sighed, his thoughts flying back to that adventurous time.

"Then why not go again?" Irene suggested, "Now that the environment outside is gradually stabilizing, we can organize a team to go to the Thunder Mountains."

Gerlin shook his head. "It's enough for me to go alone. It doesn't take too long. The sooner the better. If I can get the lightning stone within two days, the Fallen Star will finally be completed."

"You are so stubborn." Irene pouted in anger, but then regained her gentle expression. "I know you have your own insistence on this matter, but I still hope to accompany you. After all, we are partners, aren't we?"

"Gerlin..." Irene hesitated and finally sighed, "I know you are doing this for my own good, but for me, walking side by side with you is the most important thing."

"You want to share the burden with me, but I can't let you take this risk." Gerling raised his head and looked into Irene's eyes. "This is my mission, and I must complete it alone."

For a moment, the atmosphere in the studio became heavy. Irene's eyes revealed a hint of loss, but she quickly adjusted her mood and smiled: "Then, I can at least help you prepare some tools and food you need, so that you can have a smoother journey."

Garlin accepted it with pleasure: "Thank you, Irene, you are always so thoughtful."

"Huh, now you know I treat you well." Irene said jokingly, but her eyes were as clear as water, conveying her deep concern and dependence on Gerlin.

"I will finish this item as soon as possible and make it perfect." Gerlin clenched the Fallen Star Pendant in his hand, as if he had drawn invisible power from it.

"Remember to bring me something fun when you come back." Irene said a little mischievously, trying to ease the tense atmosphere.

"Of course, if we find treasures." Gerlin raised a smile, "But I think the most important thing is to bring back the lightning stone."

"By the way, when do you plan to leave?" Irene asked.

"Tomorrow morning," said Gelling firmly. "I want to leave before daybreak to avoid contact with other people."

"Then I'll prepare everything for you tonight." Irene made up her mind quickly, "If it's not enough, I'll go to town to buy more. Don't let yourself go hungry."

"Thank you, Irene." Gerling thanked sincerely, "Having you around really makes me feel more at ease."

"That makes me feel relieved." Irene said softly, seeming reluctant to mention the separation. She approached Gerlin and said half-jokingly and half-seriously: "If I'm not with you, you have to be careful not to be caught by those monsters."

Garlin smiled slightly: "I will always be careful. After all, I still have to complete this prop and you can't live without me as a partner."

"I'm really not used to being without you." Irene sighed, with a hint of tenderness in her eyes.

As the night deepened, Irene began to pack luggage for Gerling, while Gerling was busy organizing tools, his heart full of anticipation and anxiety for the upcoming adventure.

"Be careful not to forget to bring water! I heard that water is hard to find in the dry season in Thunder Mountains." Irene's voice sounded from behind, interrupting Gerlin's thoughts.
