The most powerful wizard in the magic world

Chapter 45: Opportunities for the Future

In the mist of dawn, the castle of Gerlin seemed particularly peaceful. It was as if a golden veil was covering this ancient place. Naanman walked in the hall of the castle, feeling a little nervous. Today was the day when the carriage of the city lord's mansion arrived, which meant that an important guest was about to arrive.

"Naanman, come and help me sort these flowers." Alyssa's urgent voice came from another room, breaking the morning silence. She is the daughter of the Lord of Gerlin, young and full of energy, and often gives people a bright feeling.

"Okay, miss." Naanman responded quickly and hurried over.

They placed colorful bouquets on the long table in the hall, and Alyssa carefully adjusted the position of each vase. Although they were common flowers, in her hands, they seemed to be given life and exuded a fresh breath.

"Naanman, who do you think will be the guests in the carriage?" Alyssa fiddled with the bouquet and looked up at Naanman, her eyes full of anticipation.

"I heard that the City Lord's Mansion will send several merchants and some nobles." Naanman answered while arranging the vases. She had lived in Gerlin City for a long time and heard some things about the City Lord's Mansion.

"Merchants?" Alyssa frowned slightly. "I hope they are not those arbitrary guys. I would rather meet those interesting travelers who can tell wonderful stories."

"Miss, you always look forward to adventure." Naanman chuckled, her eyes full of admiration. "However, it is always exciting to meet different people. Maybe there will be a traveler you like among them."

“I hope so.” Alyssa put away the last vase, stood up straight, and patted the dust off her hands. “Naanman, now let’s go and see if the carriage has arrived.”

The two walked out of the hall side by side, stepped onto the stone steps, and walked towards the courtyard. The sun gradually rose higher and fell on them, as if adding a layer of golden light to everything around them.

"I heard that the carriage of the City Lord's Mansion is pulled by four horses, and no one has ever seen it." Naanman mentioned the rumor she heard from her fellow servants, with a hint of curiosity in her tone.

"Really? I heard that the carriage in the City Lord's Mansion will have special decorations. Maybe we can see some luxurious gems." Alyssa seemed more and more excited, and her pace quickened a bit.

Just as they were about to reach the edge of the yard, they suddenly heard the distant sound of horse hooves. Naanman stopped and pointed to the distance: "Miss, look, that's a carriage!"

Sure enough, a gorgeous carriage was slowly driving into the castle gate, with four horses shining in the sun, and the sound of the wheels hitting the ground seemed to be a welcome movement. The silk curtains on the carriage fluttered gently in the wind, like a lady's gorgeous dress.

“Hurry, let’s go and greet them!” Alyssa’s eyes flashed with excitement as she quickly moved forward.

Naanman followed closely behind, feeling inexplicably nervous. She didn't know what kind of changes this guest would bring to their lives. As the carriage approached, the castle guards stood taller, showing their strength and majesty.

After the carriage stopped, several attendants in gorgeous costumes quickly got out and opened the door. Then, the first person to walk out was a tall and elegant man with slightly gray hair, but he exuded a mature charm.

"This is the representative sent by the city lord, Mr. Last." A servant introduced softly.

"Welcome, Mr. Last." Alyssa bent slightly, folded her hands on her chest, and her attitude was polite and friendly.

"Ms. Alyssa, I've heard a lot about you." Rast smiled, his eyes moving between Alyssa and Naanman, his voice low and magnetic, "It's my honor."

Naanman secretly looked at the guest, his eyes were full of wisdom and depth, as if he could see through her heart at a glance. This made her feel embarrassed and she lowered her head unconsciously.

"Naanman, this is my maid, Naanman." Alyssa took the initiative to introduce, trying to break the subtle tension in the air.

"Naanman, what a pleasant name." Rast walked slowly closer, his eyes like a searchlight, shining straight into Naanman's heart.

"Thank you, Mr. Rast." Naanman was a little flattered by his compliment. She lowered her head slightly, and her cheeks involuntarily flushed slightly.

At this moment, another person came down. He was a young nobleman with a light figure. His voice was as sweet as a spring: "Lord Rast, I'm sorry to have waited so long."

"This is my student, Adrian." Last introduced him to Alyssa with some pride, "He is also one of the main purposes of our trip."

Adrian smiled and took the initiative to salute Alyssa: “It’s an honor, Miss Alyssa.”

“Thank you, Adrian.” Alyssa smiled slightly, feeling favorable towards him, and seemed to have a new respect for the young man.

Naanman watched quietly from the side, and began to feel curious about the two guests. Were they here to discuss important matters, or did they have other intentions? She inadvertently felt that she was full of anticipation and uneasiness about their arrival.

"We are here to discuss the upcoming transaction, and I hope to get your support." Last said without hesitation, his eyes firm.

"Of course, the castle has always been an important place for transactions." Alyssa's tone was firm, and her eyes were shining with intelligence.

Naanman tilted her ear slightly to listen to the conversation between the two. She was nervous and expectant, and she prayed silently in her heart that everything would go as she wished and bring a new beginning.

In the following days, the castle welcomed the long-lost bustle. Guests laughed and talked happily in the hall, and the sounds of musical instruments and human voices intertwined into a moving movement, brewing opportunities for the future.
