Gerlin pushed open the door and saw Nas squatting beside the table, holding a long feather pen in her hand, with a bright red smear on the tip of the pen, obviously doing some complicated magic rune research. She frowned slightly, her eyes were focused, and she was completely immersed in her own world.

"Nas, I found the book you want!" Gerlin said excitedly, with joy shining in his eyes.

Nas raised her head and looked at him in surprise. Her eyes, which were sparkling with wisdom, instantly shone brightly. "Are you talking about the ancient book about advanced fire spells?"

"That's right," Gelling nodded with satisfaction and slowly walked to the table. He carefully took the book out of his bag. The flame pattern on the cover looked particularly bright in the sunlight. "I found this in the library. I hope it can help you with your research."

Her eyes brightened, and she excitedly took the book and gently stroked the cover. At that moment, she seemed to feel the passion and power contained in the book. "Great, Gerlin! You don't know how much I'm looking forward to this book! The study of fire magic is much more complicated than I thought. I almost fell into a struggle."

"I understand that the application of those fire spells is really unpredictable," Gerlin said with a smile, his eyes showing his concern for Nas. "But remember, fire is both a symbol of power and an art of control. We must use wisdom to tame it, rather than being devoured by it."

Nas nodded and opened the book. The illustrations and runes inside instantly attracted her full attention. The faint flame totem on the page trembled, as if whispering softly. Her fingertips wandered between the words, her face full of intoxication: "These runes are really beautiful. The underlying structure of fire magic can be so complicated!"

"I remember you mentioned a spell of fire fusion. Do you want to try it?" Gerlin asked, his voice low and powerful.

"Of course!" Nas answered without hesitation. She excitedly pulled out a few sheets of white paper and began to quickly draw runes while muttering the elements of the spell. "I need to start with a simple flame, and then gradually increase the intensity of the flame until a blending effect is achieved."

"I see. I can help you arrange the materials for the ceremony." Gerlin nodded seriously and began to organize the things on the table. He knew that fire magic was not a study that could be taken lightly, and any small mistake could lead to terrible consequences.

"Thank you, Gerling." She smiled gently, lowered her head shyly, and then her brows flashed with confidence. "I may need your help! We can do this experiment together."

"Of course." Gerling cleared the clutter on the table, then reached out to help Nas carry the paper, and was full of anticipation for the upcoming experiment. He remembered that fire was a symbolic presence in their relationship, and once upon a time, they had discussed their visions for the future together by the campfire.

"The power of fire is terrifying, but the beauty of that moment is incomparable." Nas looked at the fire rune in front of her, with gentle pity in her tone, "I hope to use this beauty in battle, rather than simply destroy it."

"I believe you can do it, too." Gerling smiled slightly, feeling a passion burning in his chest. "So, shall we start now?"

"Okay, first we have to prepare the fire sacrifice." Nasi said, taking out a package and searching inside it, finally finding a small, red-glowing flame crystal. "This is what I purified in the laboratory as the basis for the experiment."

"Next, I will use this rune to guide the energy." She gently put the crystal aside and began to write the formula on the table, frowning slightly, full of thoughts. "This rune needs to be guided so that the flame can be transformed into the power I need."

Gerlin observed quietly, and he became more and more envious of Nas's wisdom. He couldn't help but ask, "How did you feel about fire before you learned fire magic?"

Nas looked up and thought for a moment, her tone nostalgic: "I have felt a strange attraction to fire since I was a child. It is so free, yet so ruthless. I always wanted to understand it, to get close to it, like a bound soul."

"I understand." Gerling nodded slightly. In his heart, fire is not only a symbol of power, but also a revelation, a desire to explore the unknown. "Perhaps, each of us is looking for a certain kind of fire that belongs to us."

"You are right, Gerlin." Nas looked at him deeply, her face reflecting a touch of charm. "And I hope to find deeper wisdom through fire. Perhaps this is my life's mission."

"Let's go explore together," said Gerling, holding her hand boldly and firmly. When their eyes met, their hearts conveyed unspoken trust.

As time passed, the experiment gradually reached its climax. Nas used the runes to ignite the crystals. The blue light flowed through her fingertips. The flames were like spirits, entwining her palms and gradually becoming brighter. Gerlin watched silently from the side, providing her with support.

"Look, I can feel the pulse of the flame!" Nas's voice was filled with amazement and excitement, and her eyes sparkled like stars.

"Very good, keep your will flexible." Gerlin reminded in a low voice, his eyes always fixed on the gradually evolving flame, his heart full of awe for culture and knowledge.

As the runes were completed, the flame finally formed a magnificent outline under Nas's guidance. Just when everything seemed to be going smoothly, suddenly, a breeze blew up and blew the flame into pieces in an instant. It seemed to have lost its mind and the flame spread all around, confused and difficult to control.

"Oh no! Stay calm, Nas! Don't give up!" Gerlin shouted almost instinctively, casting a wind spell in his hand, trying to stabilize the overflowing flames.

However, the flames became more and more out of control. Nas felt tremendous pressure. She took a deep breath, her mind spinning rapidly, "I can't let it destroy everything! I have to guide it back to my original design!"

"I'll help you!" Gerling threw himself into the effort, his body swaying in the breeze. He could sense the struggle in Nas's heart and decided not to just be a spectator, but to become part of the effort.
