The air around him became heavy due to the coldness of the sword, as if every breath was a luxury. In this dim forest, there was silence, and time seemed to stand still.

"That's ridiculous, Soran." Gerlin's voice was as cold as ice. "Do you think you can challenge me with those difficult words? You are just a self-righteous mutant scholar."

Although he was already powerless, Soran's consciousness still flickered faintly. He struggled to raise his hand a little, trying to touch Gerlin with his silver claws, but found that his body was already powerless. He turned his head slightly, his eyes passed through the dense trees, and whispered: "This is not the end..."

"Oh?" Garlin curled his lips and smiled, with a hint of sarcasm in his grin, "Who do you think can save you? The mysterious mutant power? Or those incompetent companions?"

Soran felt a sense of despair, but the stubbornness in his heart did not give in. "My companions will not give up. They will find you eventually."

"I'm looking forward to it." Gerlin put away his sword, as if he had no feelings about Soran's death, but seemed more relaxed. A fierce light flashed in his eyes, as if he was thinking about something even more cruel.

"Do you think that by killing me you can trample on our beliefs without scruples?" Soran's voice became weaker and weaker, but with a hint of stubbornness. He knew that many years ago under the bright sunshine, he and his companions had made an oath to defend the world together, even though he was unable to do so now.

"Faith?" Gerlin sneered, "Faith is an excuse the weak leave for the dead. Strength is the only truth."

"You will pay the price for your pride." Soran's voice was still firm. Although he was dying, there was no cowardice at all.

Gerlin showed disdain, turned away, and said coldly: "A meaningless struggle will only make your death more painful. Remember, in this world, only the strong can write history."

Just as he was about to leave, a loud roar suddenly broke his thoughts. Gerlin looked up and saw several figures flying across the sky. They were Soran's companions, Rick and Ars.

"Sauron!" Rick shouted anxiously, running forward quickly. His face was extremely pale, and his eyes were full of flaming anger.

"Finally you're here." Gerlin raised his eyebrows slightly and showed a sinister smile, "But you guys came at the right time!"

"You villain! This is your last moment!" Ars roared, his hand already clenched tightly with his weapon. A ray of light flashed, as if he was ready to fight Gerlin to the end.

"Poor guys, you can't even protect Sauron's body, let alone defeat me." Gerlin smiled coldly. Suddenly, the frost around him began to condense and turned into sharp blades attacking Rick and Ars.

"Get out of the way!" Rick shouted, and dodged sideways, but heard a tearing sound behind him. He turned around and saw that Ars' shoulder had been cut by the ice blade, and blood was dripping.

"Ars! Are you okay?" Rick anxiously supported Ars, with a sudden panic in his heart.

"I'm fine..." Ars gritted his teeth and squeezed out a few words with difficulty. He pressed his hand on the wound on his shoulder and cursed inwardly, "We must save Soran immediately."

"But he..." Rick hesitated, and his eyes returned to the fallen Soran. That once confident face was now so quiet that it made people feel distressed.

"No, I must go. He is our leader and can't be taken away by this despicable guy." Ars took a breath and tried to get up. Although blood was flowing, the determination in his eyes was unshakable.

"You're right." Rick took a deep breath, anger burning in his eyes. He turned back, stared at Gerlin angrily, and pointed at him, "You will pay for this!"

"Humph, you ignorant fools." Gerlin swung the huge ice sword in his hand, the sword light was flying, and the sharp cold light seemed to flash his fearless determination. His voice echoed in the woods, "If you want to avenge him, just come!"

The two looked at each other, and a strong fighting spirit ignited in their hearts. Rick was in front, and Als was behind, and they quickly attacked Gerlin. Rick rushed forward, the weapon in his hand emitting a warm light, and rushed straight towards Gerlin.

"Come on, show me your strength!" Gerlin sneered and moved the giant ice sword forward. When the two collided, there was a sharp collision sound, and the air was instantly filled with a turbulent atmosphere.

Ars focused on the environment around Gerling. He looked sideways and saw some unused terrain on the ground. He thought to himself, "If I want to defeat this guy, I have to come up with a surprise attack."

However, Gerlin's strength was so great that their attacks were repeatedly repelled. "Haha, with this level, it's not good enough at all!" The cold voice seemed to drown them in despair.

Rick gritted his teeth and tried to attack again, but was punished by Gerling's ice whip and was thrown several meters away. He crashed into a tree in pain and almost lost his balance.

"Rick!" Als was frightened and hurried over to help, but he could no longer avoid Gerling's attack. He was knocked to the ground, his knees weak, and blood flowed from the corners of his lips.

"You're going to lose to me just like that?" Gerlin walked forward and stared coldly at the two dying comrades. A hint of smug smile flashed in his cold eyes.

"We...will never give up..." Rick responded through gritted teeth. Although he had been severely injured, his low voice revealed his unyielding stubbornness.

"Give up?" Gerlin raised the corner of his mouth and struck down with the sword, "Then come and face the final judgment!" The giant ice sword in his hand chopped down fiercely, aiming directly at Rick's body and mind.

At this critical moment, suddenly, with a deafening creaking sound, the ground seemed to be torn apart. Rick and Als turned their heads and saw that around Soran's body, the mutated silver claws began to flicker, rebuilding a protective barrier to resist Gerlin's attack.

In an instant, silver light surged like a mysterious energy, covering the entire battlefield, entwining the two of them and infusing them with strength.

"What... is this?" Gerlin was shocked, his face changed suddenly, and he seemed to realize that something was wrong.

"Let's go, now!" Ars gritted his teeth and forced himself to stand up, clenching his fists. The power continued to flow into his body. He pulled Rick and ran towards Soran.
