He felt a little unwilling in his heart. After all, the trouble these two people brought was really disgusting. However, the decision to let them go made him feel uneasy.

"Are you really going to let them go like this?" Carlton, the black-robed mentor beside him, frowned and spoke in a low and steady voice.

Gerlin turned around, the shadow on his face torn apart by the moonlight. He hesitated for a moment and replied, "Although they are my enemies, they are not yet to the point where I need to take action myself. Instead of wasting time on them, I should focus on more important things."

Carlton nodded, seeming to agree with him, but the doubt on his face had not dissipated: "Aren't you afraid that they will find a chance to fight back? Soran has already demonstrated his outstanding talent, and that blond apprentice... his words reveal a kind of confidence that I have never seen before."

"I know, but the enemy may not be stupid enough to just fight back angrily." Gerlin raised his head and looked at the starry sky. His voice gradually became firm. "What I care more about is taking the initiative."

After a moment of silence, the black-robed mentor took out a roll of parchment from his arms and said in a relaxed tone, "Should we consider our next step? Those newly emerged forces do not seem to be satisfied with the status quo."

"You mean the exiles and their followers?" Gerlin glimpsed the flames drifting in the distance, and a sense of vigilance surged in his heart. "They are indeed operating in secret, but we need to collect more information."

"That's easy. Send more people to investigate." Carlton pointed to the camp not far away. "The scouts are guarding it. News will come back soon."

Gerling nodded, his eyes swept across the outline of the camp, and he was already thinking about his next move. He suddenly felt a little lonely. Although there were strong people like Carlton around him, the world always seemed dangerous and unpredictable.

"I'm thinking..." he said slowly, "Since we have already embarked on this path, can we consider making contact with these forces? Perhaps they are not complete enemies."

Carlton was stunned for a moment and shook his head: "Never underestimate the enemy. There are no eternal friends in the Game of Thrones, only eternal interests."

While they were talking, there were suddenly hurried footsteps and chaotic whispers outside the camp. Gerlin immediately became alert and felt a little uneasy. "What happened?"

"The scouts are back." Carlton's eyes flashed with a cold light, "It seems they brought important news."

Soon after, a scout in gray quickly ran up to the two of them and said in a hurried tone, "Master, you have to come and see for yourself. The noise outside is getting more and more disturbing. People are gathering in the valley to the west."

"How many people are there?" Gerling asked immediately.

"At least hundreds, and a lot of weapons." The scout's face was pale. "I feel... they might be planning something."

Gerling's heart tightened, and then he thought quickly, "Go see what they are doing, and try not to expose myself."

"Yes." The scout responded and left.

"We should go and take a look as well." Carlton's eyes were sharp. "It's possible that we could find someone who is connected to the forces behind our plan."

"Let's go!" Gerlin walked towards the western valley without looking back. The moonlight cast a cold glow, illuminating his determined steps.

After a long journey, Gerling and Carlton stopped at the edge of the valley, hiding in the dense bushes and peering into the valley. As the voices became clearer, they heard some familiar names.

"Sauron is back, and he brought back some valuable information." A wounded man spoke in a hoarse voice, but could not hide his excitement.

"This kid is really capable. He can even get rid of the old fox Gerlin." Another voice was full of contempt, "But we have to be quick and don't let him react."

Gerlin's heart was shocked. Could it be that Soran was already using external force? He turned his head slightly and asked Carlton's opinion with his eyes.

Carlton nodded slightly and whispered, "It looks like we have to intervene. We can't let them gain more power."

"Let's take action! Let's disrupt their plans first." Gerling said, having already come up with a feasible plan in his mind.

The two moved quickly, passing through the shadows in the forest and sneaking towards the valley. As the sound became clearer, they finally saw that the people gathered together were some exiles and like-minded followers who were planning an action against Gerling.

Gellin smiled slightly, and a surge of courage surged in his heart. He quietly tried to approach a high ground, ready to launch an attack from above. However, at this moment, someone suddenly turned around and faced him and Carlton.

"Someone is coming!" Loud shouts broke the tranquility of the night sky, and chaos instantly swept across the entire valley.

"Let's go!" Carlton pulled Gerlin over and quickly retreated, trying to find a hiding place.

"Don't retreat, charge forward!" Gerlin was determined, with power surging in his hands, and he began his counterattack.

Following his order, his companions rushed into the melee, and the fight between the two sides broke out instantly. The sound of metal colliding and shouting intertwined, forming a fierce confrontation scene under the night sky.

"Sauron, come here!" A voice came from the center of the valley. It was the scarred man who was trying to gather the team.

Gerlin seized this opportunity and rushed forward resolutely, raising his weapon and aiming directly at the man, "You will never be able to defeat me!"

The enemy in front of him was obviously frightened by his outburst of momentum. He looked terrified and struggled to retreat.

"Gerlin, you're a lunatic!" He tried to defend his retreat with words.

"In this world, no one can escape my pursuit." Gerlin sneered, exuding a terrifying aura, and pounced forward.

Just as he was about to deliver a fatal blow, another roar came from behind him, "Sauron, you are here!"

Gerlin turned around instantly and saw the blond apprentice running towards here with several wounded people, anger and determination burning in his eyes.

"Do you think you can defeat us easily?" The apprentice's voice was firm and loud, as if it could tear through the darkness and inspire his companions to resist together.

"Ruger, you are not allowed to speak here!" Gerlin responded, facing the blond apprentice with a confrontational mood, "You are too young and don't understand the significance of this fight at all."
