Hogwarts's Master of Mind

Chapter 78 Family Competition 1

As school was about to start, Ron suddenly remembered something.

That afternoon, after everyone had enjoyed lunch, they sat in the living room with nothing to do.

The hot wind blew in from outside the house. Aiden snapped his fingers and snowflakes began to fall from the ceiling. Soon the heat in the house was dispelled.

"I remember now, Aiden, you still owe me a duel." Ron suddenly jumped up from the sofa.

"Ron Weasley, what are you crazy about? Do you want me to seal your windows too?" said Mrs. Molly.

“Hoho, duel, let them try, Molly.

Didn't you train Ron for a whole summer? Just try to see how far Ron has surpassed his peers."

Arthur said excitedly, and then he looked at George, Fred and Percy.

"You guys should go and try it too. And Harry, do you want to come and try it too?"

Mrs. Molly gave Arthur a slap, but surprisingly she did not continue to stop Arthur.

So, at Arthur's instigation, the family came to the reed field outside the Burrow.

"Reed Field: I have endured too much."

"Okay, then let me be the referee. You are not allowed to use poison spells, curses, or those that cause disability. There are no other restrictions."

Arthur gave a wicked smile and was hit by Mrs. Molly again.

"Okay, have you heard the rules clearly?"

"I understand." * 7

"Now for the first match, let Ron and Aiden start first."

Ron and Aiden walked to the center of the field and looked at each other.

Outside the venue, Harry leaned close to George's ear and asked, "Does the daily activities of a wizard family also include dueling?"

"How is that possible? It's a rare occasion that father agreed to let us duel today," said George.

Fred heard their conversation and came over and said,

"We duel like Muggles fight. Do you Muggles fight as a daily routine?"

Inside the field, Ron took the lead in firing a spell at Aiden, "Expelliarmus."

Aiden just took a small step to the left and avoided it.

"You already know how to use the Disarming Spell. You've made progress, Brother Ronnie." Aiden acted cute.

"Disgusting. Today I will let you experience my brother's majesty."

Ron put one hand in his pocket, not knowing what an opponent was.

Aiden clenched his palm, and a long silver-white staff appeared in his hand.

Arthur and Molly in the audience also took out their wands and cast a perception spell on themselves.

Then, Ron swung his wand, and the surrounding stones flew quickly towards Aiden.

Aiden looked at the flying stone calmly, his magic power gathered outside his body, and a large translucent barrier began to form in front of him.

Its appearance resembles a huge hexagonal crystal with a surface as smooth as a mirror, reflecting the brilliance of the surrounding environment.

Arthur in the audience became excited when he saw this magic, and recalled the feeling of unknown when he first explored magic.

Then Aiden turned his staff and he flew up.

"How can you still fly? You're a scoundrel." Ron shouted.

"Hmph, it's pretty good that I rushed over and punched you without opening the dragon scales." Aiden replied in the air.

Then, Aiden pointed the tip of the staff at Ron, "Zoltraak!"

A beam of white light fell from the sky, and the nervous Molly had already raised her wand, ready to rescue.

But at this moment, Ron has been transformed after experiencing a whole summer of beatings.

"Armor protection."

The beam collided with the Armor Spell and dissipated, but the impact still caused Ron to take a small step back.

"Hmph, don't think I can do nothing to you just because you're flying in the sky."

Ron waved his wand again, "Villa Vito, Ten Thousand Bullets."

He used Transfiguration to transform the surrounding stones into flying birds, and then used magic to speed them up so that they could attack Aiden in the air.

'Air superiority is really important.' Aiden thought, dodging the incoming birds like a nimble elf.

With a flick of the long staff, four more beams of light flew out.

Ron could only dodge, but with his training he was able to dodge the incoming beam of light with ease.

Because Aiden wanted to see more of Ron's training results, the two of them were in a stalemate for a while.

What follows is a war of attrition. Ron's spells can hardly cause effective attacks on Aiden in the air, but Aiden can act as an air control turret to continuously consume Ron.

"Ronnie is losing," George said to Harry.

"Well, why? I saw him fighting back and forth with Aiden." Harry asked puzzled.

"There was a mistake in his strategy. He shouldn't have let Aiden fly in the first place," Fred explained.

"And he hasn't learned any spells like Apparition or flying, which is a big disadvantage." Percy also joined the conversation.

Harry secretly made up his mind that he must learn the flying spell.

Finally, Ron's defense failed under Aiden's attack, and a beam of light bypassed the Armor Spell and was about to hit Ron.

Before that, Aiden cut off the supply of magic power and the light beam dissipated.

The impact only hit Ron's butt, causing him to fall to the ground with an unstable center of balance.

"Okay, that's it, Aiden wins." Arthur came out and announced the result.

"Oh, what a shame, it was so close." Ron said dejectedly.

"Okay, next up is George vs. Aiden. George, go ahead."

"Hmm? Uncle is trying to test me." Aiden immediately understood Arthur's thoughts.

He dropped back to the ground, raising his staff toward George.

"Aiden, let's make a deal. Can we not use flying magic?"

George rolled his eyes and made a suggestion, but Aiden had already seen through his thoughts.

So he replied, “Sure.”

"Okay, both sides get ready and start." Arthur gave an order and the duel began.

"Everything is petrified", "front teeth are like sticks", "force is exhausted and relaxed"

As the duel began, George fired three spells in succession.

The gem on the top of Aiden's staff glowed slightly, and a transparent hexagonal crystal barrier directly enveloped his entire body.

The three spells hit the barrier and disappeared.

"Expelliarmus." Aiden raised his staff and fired a spell.

A red lightning bolt flew out from the tip of Aiden's staff.

"Armor protect you." George immediately used the armor spell.

However, the red lightning did not disappear immediately after hitting the Iron Armor Spell.

Instead, it continued to attack the Iron Armor Spell, blasting red spots of light around it.

As Aiden continued to move forward, George could only be pushed back by the impact of the spell.

Finally, the Shield Charm was broken, George was knocked out, and his wand flew high.

George rubbed his butt and got up from the ground, muttering, "Aiden, you're too cruel."

"I'm showing mercy. Ask my uncle if this magic flattened this area when it was developed." Aiden looked at Arthur.

"Well, this is true," said Arthur.

"Okay, let's stop talking about this. It's your turn, Fred."

Fred made a grimace and walked up with his wand in hand.

"Oh, Aiden, our beautiful and generous little brother, can we use traditional magic in our duel instead of your long staff and those weird magics?"

Fred also had a lot of bad intentions.

"Okay." The long staff in his hand turned into light and slipped into Aiden's hand, making Ron, who was standing by, feel jealous.

Aiden took out his black walnut wand after a long absence.

Aiden was still a little uncomfortable with the sudden switch from a long staff to a small wooden stick, so he shook his wand.

"Begin." Arthur ordered.

Fred immediately rushed to attack and "fell unconsciously"

The spell shot towards Aiden, who took a step forward, and the dragon scales on his hands exploded, crushing the flying spell directly.

"What, you broke the rules." Fred made a strange noise.

"Hehe, I didn't use any new magic or the long staff. I promised you, didn't I?" Aiden sneered.

Then he waved his wand, and the surrounding stones immediately turned into vines, twisting and binding Fred's feet.

Fred thought something was wrong and cast a spell to disperse the vines, but was hit by a petrification spell from Aiden, ending the duel.

"Okay, Aiden wins." Arthur came out and announced the result.
