Hogwarts's Master of Mind

Chapter 61 Rescued

After Klinr turned into dust, the deserted courtyard fell into silence.

Aiden struggled to crawl out of the rubble.

"Wow, what was that in the sky just now? System, do you have any idea?" Aiden brushed the dust off his clothes.

"Ding, Department of Mysteries, Planetary Room, Starry Sky Annihilation Matrix."

"What's up with this sci-fi-sounding name?" Aiden complained.

"Ding, someone will come to explain it to you."

After saying that, the system dived.

"Pa~pa~pa~pa~pa~" A round of applause came from Aiden's right.

"Quite capable, Aiden Prewett."

A man in a white and gold robe stood on Aiden's right, followed by a group of people in black and gold robes.

These people scattered around, scanning something with strange instruments in their hands.

Most people wore bracelets with runes engraved on them, which emitted a faint light, but the director was not wearing one.

Aiden didn't have time to identify it carefully, but he remembered that Oliver was still thrown in the ruins, so he hurried to search for it.

One of the witches in the crowd waved her wand, and Oliver floated up from the rubble and flew towards them.

Then the witch took out a bracelet of the same model and put it on Oliver.

After they were done, they began to disappear in an orderly manner into the deserted courtyard, leaving only Aiden and the platinum man.

The platinum man took out a bracelet and threw it to Aiden, saying,

"Are you planning to go back with us, or stay here and enjoy the scenery?"

Aiden didn't hesitate, he put on the bracelet, and in a blink of an eye they both disappeared.

When Aiden came to his senses, they were standing in a huge round room where everything, including the ceiling and floor, was black.

Twelve identical black doors without markings or handles were set into the surrounding black walls at some distance from each other.

Some candles with blue flames dotted the walls. The cold, flickering candlelight was reflected on the polished marble floor, making it look like a pool of black water.

"Welcome to the Department of Mysteries. You can call me Director." The platinum man introduced Aiden.

"Don't worry. Your classmate has been sent to St. Mungo's. His physical contact with the Deep Realm will affect him. What he needs is treatment and recuperation."

"It seems that you saved us, thank you very much." Aiden thanked him.

"No need to thank me. Oh, and remember to write your name on the Silence Slate. You have to abide by the confidentiality agreement."

As the director spoke, he took Aiden to open one of the doors, revealing a huge stone slab.

This stone slab is several meters high and its surface is as smooth as a mirror, but it reveals an indescribable sense of vicissitudes.

Its color is a deep gray-black, and it seems to absorb all the light around it, making people think of the deepest black hole in the universe.

The edges of the stone slabs are carved with complex runes and patterns, which are intertwined to form a series of mysterious totems.

They seemed to have their own life, flickering slightly as Aiden's gaze moved, emitting a faint glow.

"How about it? Isn't it magnificent? This is a creation that embodies the most advanced technologies of our wizard civilization - the Slate of Silence."

The director smiled and introduced Aiden,

"Okay, go up and use your magic to write your name on it, and the confidentiality contract will be established. I have to make it clear in advance that the effect of this contract is more powerful than the blood alliance."

Then, Aiden walked to the stone slab and carved his name on it as requested by the director.

The magic power of the stone slab flowed through Aiden's body. At the same time, Aiden also felt the powerful spiritual power stored in the stone slab. Aiden even felt that the stone slab conveyed loving emotions to him.

Aiden took a few steps back and asked, "Is this thing alive?"

"Of course, this is the result of the hard work of countless wizards. It has protected our wizard civilization for many years. Let me tell you in secret, there are six slabs of silence in total."

The director proudly showed off to Aiden.

"Wow, I always feel like this guy is frivolous," Aiden complained.

"Well, since you have signed the contract, why don't you join us, the Silent People?"

The director clasped their fingers together, with little stars in his eyes.

"Ah, I don't want to join the Unspoken." Aiden refused decisively.

“Look, you’ve faced the King of the Deep Realm at such a young age, you have decent abilities, and your talents are suitable.

Just join us, the Silent People, and I will personally guide you for a while.

Then you can take over my position and become the Director of the Ministry of Magic directly, saving several years of detours."

The director tried to persuade him patiently, but Aiden rolled his eyes at him.

"Then you'll abandon your name and stay here with a quiet and peaceful mind, right? You're full of bad intentions."

"Well, there's nothing I can do. Ever since old Dumbledore tricked me into coming here, I've been trapped here for years.

Not only do I have to keep the secret in secret all day long, but I can't find a replacement either. I'm really worried."

Seeing that Aiden was not fooled, the director gave up on himself.

Then the two of them walked out of the room where the slab was, and the director led Aiden to his office.

"Tea or coffee?"

"Tea, thank you."

Aiden sat upright, while the director casually draped his legs, leaning comfortably on the back of the sofa.

"So, do you want to explain to me what is going on?" Aiden asked after taking a sip of tea.

"Hey, do you know what stupid things your classmate's father did?" The director leaned on the sofa and hummed.

"Is it a big deal?" Aiden asked casually.

"It's very large. The data that can be counted now include: an entire town of 2,000 people were sacrificed, tens of thousands of people in Devon County were impacted by the deep world, and the Kingsport Cathedral collapsed, with a large hole dug out in the ground.

At the same time, a politician disappeared, and with his political influence, many Muggle leaders began to inquire about our news."

"Wow, this is the biggest leak since the American incident in 1927. How was it handled?" Aiden was a little curious.

"The bugs upstairs went to deal with it, and announced that the gas pipeline had been in disrepair for a long time, causing a massive leak and a huge explosion in Kingsport.

By the way, environmentalists from the branch went to protest against groundwater extraction, which caused the church floor to collapse.”

"What a gas leak, what a good environmentalist. But who will compensate the victims?" Aiden was speechless.

"Of course it will be handled by the Muggle government. What can we wizards do? We don't have bad intentions. The whole thing was caused by Muggles. In the end, Muggles are responsible for these things. It's reasonable, isn't it?"

The director spread his hands and said he didn't love anyone.

"One more thing, what is the deal between Oliver and me." Aiden asked next.

"Let you go. You are just little wizards who were accidentally involved in this incident. Don't worry, no one will cause trouble for you later."

Aiden took another sip of his tea and relaxed.

The previous tension caused Aiden's adrenaline to surge, and now that he was relaxed, he felt pain all over his body.

After not eating for more than ten hours and the intense fighting, Aiden was extremely hungry.

"Is there anything to eat? Please order?" Aiden asked tentatively.

"Row."

The director snapped his fingers and a sumptuous dinner appeared on the table. Aiden began to devour it.
