Hogwarts's Master of Mind
Chapter 58: Burial Place and Enemies
Under the moonlight, our Labour Party leader Mr. Kinnock was wiggling his fat butt and having fun with the people.
The elite-looking bodyguards around also danced wildly with their arms flailing.
"To be honest, these people's dancing is really ugly." Aiden complained to the system.
"Ding, there will be something interesting soon."
Oliver and Aiden searched for his father among the crowd, but there were so many people in the square that they couldn't tell who was who.
The moon gradually rose higher in the sky, and will-o'-the-wisps danced over the graves, presenting a terrifying spectacle, but miraculously, no shadows were left.
Beyond the graveyard, where there were no houses, the tops of the hills could be seen, and the stars shining above the harbor, but the town was shrouded in complete darkness.
In the winding alleys, only the eerily swaying lanterns appeared and disappeared, as if chasing the crowd.
The residents in the square did not stop dancing. They formed a long line in a chaotic yet orderly manner and danced silently into the church.
Aiden and Oliver waited until they slipped through the dark doorway and stood there, waiting for everyone to go in.
Oliver tugged at Aiden's sleeve fearfully, but Aiden decided to go in last just in case.
Finally, the two of them stepped over the threshold.
The church was not as crowded as one might imagine. People flowed through the aisles between the white high-backed benches and walked towards the trapdoor in front of the pulpit. The residents bent over and entered the trapdoor.
Arriving at the trapdoor, Aiden felt a sense of déjà vu again.
"Is this feeling of being swept up in the collective will a prophecy? Someone made a prophecy about me?" Aiden noticed something was wrong with him.
'It seems there is no escape.'
So Aiden took Oliver and entered the trapdoor.
Under the trapdoor was a white staircase that seemed to lead to the church's basement, which seemed to be a cemetery, cold and suffocating.
The winding procession looked horrible as it crawled toward the ossuary.
It seemed as if the food on the assembly line was being transported through a conveyor belt into the devil's huge mouth.
Aiden and Oliver followed the crowd. A pungent smell came out from the passage. Aiden couldn't stand it and put the Bubble Head Curse on himself and Oliver.
When Oliver and Aiden reached the bottom floor, the entire ossuary appeared before them.
The wind blew through the empty canyon, making a harsh drum sound, as if a band was playing.
The broad riverbank was covered with fungi, and the gushing columns of flame were a sickly green.
From some terrible unknown abyss flowed a broad, oily river, toward the dark rifts in the depths of the eternal ocean.
Oliver's resistance was relatively weak and he was breathing heavily.
He could feel, in the endless darkness, giant toadstools standing upright, leprous columns of flame gushing out, sticky water flowing, and people wrapped in coats forming a semicircle around the flames.
In the center of the crowd was a strange altar with a bonfire burning in the middle. Around the altar stood strange totem poles with runes engraved on them that no one could understand.
A man in a black robe stood on the altar, chanting in an unknown language.
Residents from all around worshipped the morbid pillar of flame. They lined up, picked up sacrificial knives, cut their arms, and dripped their blood into the water.
The blood of these residents is not red, but a sticky colloid that flickers green, as if it has chlorosis.
"Under the deep night, when the stars hide in the endless void, we gather here, in awe, reciting sacrifices to awaken the ancient god sleeping at the bottom of the abyss - ■■.
We are here to sacrifice to you with our blood and soul, with songs and prayers, forever and ever. "
The priest standing in the middle read out a language that Aiden could understand, but Aiden felt that his voice was harsh and distorted.
Immediately afterwards, a resident walked up to the altar, and the black-robed priest used a sacrificial knife to cut open his chest, took out the beating heart, and threw it into the flames.
The flames suddenly rushed upwards, igniting the darkness above, and the darkness seemed to come alive and flow slowly.
No, that was not darkness, it was an unknown colloid flowing and spirits screaming. Aiden quickly closed his eyes and covered Oliver's eyes with his hands.
The black colloid slowly flowed down and wrapped up the black-robed priest. A wriggling and crisp sound of bones came from his body.
"Hahaha, it worked. After all, I can offer a sacrifice to the great ■■."
The man in black robe laughed wildly, and his voice was exactly that of Oliver's father, Clint Graves.
Oliver heard his father's voice, broke free from Aiden and ran over.
The residents who were kneeling on the ground around ignored the extra people, and Oliver successfully ran up to the altar.
"Dad, what are you doing, you just killed someone."
There was fear in Oliver's eyes. He didn't understand why his father had become like this. He wanted to get closer but was a little timid.
"Oh, Oliver, you've come just in time. Come on, child, give your life to Him. Our family will be reborn in His arms. Then, we will eat your mother's reincarnated blister together."
Clint Graves' voice was frantic and evil, and he raised the sacrificial knife and swung it at Oliver.
After all, Oliver had been trained by the Dueling Society. He shrank his head, then rolled back, stood up, took out his wand and pointed it at Klinl in one go.
When Aiden saw the two people confronting each other, he took out his wand and prepared to step forward to help.
But a spell flew from behind, Aiden was alerted by the spirit and used hypnosis.
The hand that fired the spell inexplicably raised up, and the spell flew past Aiden.
The deflected spell hit a resident who was kneeling on the ground. The resident lost his strength and fell directly to the ground.
The robe he was wearing seemed to have lost its support and deflated, while worms were wriggling inside the clothes and crawling out.
"Hahahahaha, these familiar eyes, it's you, the little thing that slipped away from me back then."
Another figure, also in a black robe, walked down the stairs. He didn't seem to care that his spell had gone off target. How could a dark wizard who had fallen into madness notice anything wrong with himself?
The black robe made him look somewhat mysterious, but unlike Klinl, he wore a mask carved with strange patterns.
The identity of the visitor was obvious, he was a Death Eater.
"It's you, why are you here."
Aiden recalled the night twelve years ago, and the figure standing in the middle of the street and laughing wildly in his memory gradually overlapped with the person in front of him.
"Humph, of course I would cooperate with a bunch of stinky mudbloods. If it weren't for that lord..."
This Death Eater was much thinner and his voice was not as sharp as before.
"It seems that you are not doing well after your master was defeated and fell by the baby."
Aiden's heterochromatic vertical pupils stared at him, and his tone was as deep as a dark pond.
"How dare you....How dare you blaspheme that adult like this."
The Death Eater's entire body was shaking and he screamed as he fired spells at Aiden.
However, a brain that had lost its rationality due to anger was like a sand castle without foundations in front of Aiden, which would collapse at the slightest hit of the waves.
Aiden retreated slightly, avoiding the spell.
"The Killing Curse. Apart from abusing this spell, do you and your master know anything else?" Aiden challenged.
"Then I will let you taste the power of this spell."
The Death Eater raised his wand and began to charge. "Avada—"
"confusion."
Aiden opened his eyes and started a chaos. The Death Eater in front of him was out of control and he fell down with foam at the mouth.
"Alas, why don't you Death Eaters learn your lesson? Do you really think there is no price to pay for abusing the Killing Curse?"
Aiden sighed and slowly walked towards him.
