Hogwarts's Master of Mind

Chapter 236 Memory, Judgment, and Plan

In the office, Aiden leaned back on the sofa.

Fox came over and rubbed against him, and Aiden reached out and stroked its fur.

"Aiden, what's going on?" Harry asked curiously.

As he walked toward the sofa, he reached out to grab a handful of licorice candy.

"I suggest you not to catch that thing. It will bite you," said Aiden.

Harry's hand froze and stopped outside the bowl.

"Come on, Dumbledore wants you to see what happened fifty years ago."

Aiden patted Fox and stood up after it flew away.

He raised the wand in his hand, and the cabinet next to him opened, and a meditation basin slowly extended out from it.

"What is that?" Harry asked puzzledly.

"The Pensieve, an alchemical tool that can be used to view other people's memories. I need a tool just to view a memory..." Aiden muttered.

"What?" Harry didn't hear Aiden's mumbling behind him.

"Nothing, let's get started."

Aiden pulled Harry to the Pensieve and took out the glass bottle in his hand.

Putting the memory into the Pensieve, Aiden pulled Harry in.

"Ah!" Harry felt a sense of falling and soon he fell onto the chair.

There was a circular courtroom surrounding him, and Dumbledore was sitting next to him.

"Professor?" Harry held out his hand and tried to talk to Dumbledore.

But his outstretched hand actually passed through Dumbledore.

"It's just a memory, we can't change anything." Aiden sat behind Harry.

Barty Crouch Sr. sat in the middle and banged the gavel, "Silence!"

The noisy scene soon quieted down, and Moody squeezed into the judgement seat and sat behind Dumbledore.

Two Dementors came in carrying Karkaroff.

He was thrown onto a chair, which automatically extended golden chains to tie him up.

"Igor Karkaroff, you request to be temporarily removed from Azkaban to present evidence to this court.

If this evidence is indeed useful, the committee may consider releasing you immediately!"

Old Batty turned the page of the document and continued.

"Before that, you will still be a detained Death Eater. Can you accept these terms?"

Old Batty read the prelude, and then everyone's eyes focused on Karkaroff.

"I accept, I can provide the list!" Karkaroff confessed hastily. "Uh, Rosier, Evan Rosier."

Old Batty took the information from the side and said, "Dead."

Moody, who was watching the show nearby, even complained to Dumbledore, "Take something from me before you die, haha."

"Well, if this is all your evidence, I will..." Batty was about to end.

"No, no, there's Rookwood too, he's a spy."

Karkaroff straightened himself up in excitement, but was pulled back by the chains.

"Augustus Rookwood? Department of Mysteries?" asked old Barty.

“!!??” This time it was Aiden’s turn to have a question mark pop up over his head.

"He was gathering information within the Ministry of Magic and providing intelligence to the You-Know-Who," Karkaroff said.

"How did he bypass the Unspoken Man contract?" Aiden asked puzzledly.

Unfortunately, the person in the memory did not answer him, but Harry looked at Aiden strangely.

"If this is all you have, this court..." Batty was about to strike the gavel again.

"Wait, there's Severus Snape! He's a Death Eater too!" Karkaroff confessed as required.

But Dumbledore stood up to testify for Snape.

"Lies, Snape is still loyal to the Dark Lord!" Karkaroff roared.

"Quiet! If you can't provide another list, this court session is closed." Old Batty banged the gavel.

"Oh, really? I have one last person to offer, Barty Crouch...II." Karkaroff smiled.

Little Barty on the trial bench had just stood up. When he heard Karkaroff's confession, he immediately took out his wand to get rid of him.

But Moody got there first and knocked him down.

The people around gathered around, confiscated Batty's wand, and tied him up.

"Father, it's not my fault. Don't listen to those villains." Little Batty begged for mercy.

"You are not my child." Old Batty said blankly.

Harry then witnessed the trial of Barty Jr. and the trial of the three Lestrange siblings.

When Bella was being taken to Azkaban, she was still shouting that the Dark Lord would definitely return.

There was a flash of light, and Harry and Aiden were back in the principal's office again.

"You'd better tell me there's something wrong with your memory, or there's going to be a big mess soon." Aiden leaned back on the sofa.

Dumbledore on the side put his hands on his ears, looking like he didn't understand what you were saying.

"Someone betrayed the Department of Mysteries. How did this happen?" Aiden asked.

"This is their secret. You have to ask them yourself." Dumbledore pretended to be mysterious.

Aiden gave Dumbledore the middle finger and left the office.

Dumbledore began to explain to Harry what happened to Barty the Younger ten years ago.

......

On the other side, inside the Ministry of Magic, Umbridge brought her people back to the Ministry.

There is a high possibility that Fudge will fail in this election. However, before that, he and his men still have extremely deep influence in the Ministry of Magic.

"Umbridge, this is what Dumbledore said." Fudge looked at his assistant anxiously in the Minister's office.

"Oh, sir, he urged me to stop the Triwizard Tournament, but I refused." Umbridge pushed her glasses down.

Although the election has begun, Fudge's term has not ended.

Whether it is the World Cup or the Big Three competition, they are all Fudge's political goals and means to increase his support rate.

And now, Dumbledore's idea was to destroy Fudge's hopes of re-election.

This caused great resistance from Fudge.

At the same time, on the ninth floor of the Ministry of Magic, the Department of Mysteries.

The butterflies gathered in the circular hall, and Aiden appeared here.

"Long, are you here to play with me?" The director instantly arrived behind Aiden.

"I have something to talk to you about." Aiden said.

"We?" The director tilted his head.

The elevator next to us started moving and a lady took it downstairs.

"So, what's the matter that has you rushing to find us?" Amelia Bones walked out of the elevator.

"If Fudge's defeat comes, who do you think has a chance of being elected next year?" Aiden looked at the two people in front of him.

Amelia Bones looked up and smiled.

"Yes, so the election is coming up, and I'm worried that Fudge's faction might take desperate measures." Aiden narrowed his eyes.

"You mean, assassination?" Amelia Bones reacted.

"Yes, so you need some protection." Aiden's lips curled into a smile.

After some discussion, Bones left with a plan.

"So, what do you want from me?" The director raised his eyebrows.

"What's the matter with Augustus Rookwood? What's the connection between Voldemort and the Deep Realm?" Aiden didn't bother to talk nonsense and went straight to the point.

"It's a long story." The director took Aiden to his office.
