Hogwarts Lion Girl

Chapter 77 Back to school

After returning to the Broken Axe, Salina saw Mr. and Mrs. Weasley sitting at a table in the corner, whispering something with serious expressions.

The dim lights cast a warm yellow halo around them, blocking out the other noisy scenes.

The bar was bustling with people, and the air was filled with the aroma of butter beer and barbecue.

Harry crouched down and tiptoed towards the Weasleys, trying to reduce his presence.

"Arthur, are you sure? So many Aurors from the Ministry of Magic haven't found him. How can we be sure that he will really go find Harry?" Molly's voice was full of worry. As she spoke, she anxiously stirred the cold tea in front of her.

"I know it sounds crazy, Molly, but this is what Professor Dumbledore told me." Arthur lowered his voice, frowning, "He said that Sirius Black escaped from prison, and he is likely looking for Harry."

"Merlin's pants! Sirius Black! The guy who betrayed James and Lily? How dare he?!" Molly's voice unconsciously raised a few degrees, attracting the attention of guests at several tables around.

"Shh! Keep your voice down, Molly!" Arthur quickly reminded, "We can't be sure yet. We can't jump to conclusions."

"But..." Molly wanted to say something, but was interrupted by Arthur.

"I know you are worried about Harry. We are all worried about him. But all we can do now is to trust Professor Dumbledore and believe that he will protect Harry." Arthur held Molly's hand, trying to calm her down.

Watching Harry walk upstairs in a daze, Salina thought about it and did not step forward to intervene.

The next day, everyone boarded the Hogwarts Express. Colin and Ginny were in the same carriage with Salina.

Colin chattered away like an excited little sparrow, his topic jumping from his new autofocus camera to his "magical experience" of running into Minister of Magic Fudge in Diagon Alley during his summer vacation.

"Salina, isn't that right?" Colin suddenly raised his voice, pulling Salina back from her trance.

"Ah? What?" Salina blinked blankly.

"I say, don't you think the Minister of Magic is very impressive?" Colin said with admiration.

"Oh, really? That's really amazing..." Salina couldn't help twitching her mouth when she thought of that confused guy Fudge.

Outside the window of the Hogwarts Express, the sky was terribly gloomy, and bean-sized raindrops hit the window glass fiercely, making a crackling sound. The wind whistled past the window, and the trees on the distant hillside were blown to the ground, as if they would be uprooted at any time. Thick dark clouds piled up in the sky, covering the sky and the sun, and from time to time there were dazzling lightning that broke through the darkness and made deafening thunder.

The train shook violently in the storm, the sharp sound of brakes stung the eardrums, and it stopped without warning. Ginny, who had excitedly stood up and leaned against the window to look at the scenery, was caught off guard, screamed, lost her balance, and fell into Salina's arms.

Ginny's cheeks turned pale with fright. She climbed up from Salina's legs in a panic and said incoherently: "I'm sorry! I, I didn't mean it..."

"It's okay, it's okay." Salina patted Ginny's shoulder soothingly.

"I just saw something outside the window..." Ginny's voice became smaller and smaller, and finally almost inaudible.

"What is that?" Salina said softly, but she already had a bad feeling in her heart.

Ginny shook her head, as if she was afraid to continue.

At this moment, the lights in the carriage suddenly dimmed, and a strong wind blew outside the window. Raindrops as big as beans hit the window glass with a crackling sound, making a terrifying sound. The carriage was suddenly in chaos, with screams and discussions coming one after another.

"What happened?"

"It's the Dementors! I see them!"

"Don't talk nonsense, why are there Dementors here?"

Ginny's hands were cold, and her eyes were full of helplessness and fear. Salina held her hands tightly, trying to give her some strength.

Colin was so frightened that his face turned pale. He clutched his camera tightly and stammered, "Sha, Shalina, what should we do?"

Salina took a deep breath and tried to keep herself calm. She looked around and found that other students in the car were also in a panic.

A chill spread silently, as if it was the cold seawater seeping in from the cracks in the carriage, instantly enveloping everyone. This chill not only penetrated their skin, but also flowed through their blood throughout their bodies as if it had life, chilling them all the way to their hearts.

The existence of the Dementors frightened everyone, and their minds could not help but recall its rotten and horrible appearance, as well as the despair and coldness it brought. This fear spread among the crowd like a plague, and everyone felt as if their heart was tightly grasped by an invisible hand, making it almost impossible to breathe.

Salina felt her heart beating faster and faster, as if it was about to jump out of her throat. She held Ginny's hand tightly, trying to give her some strength, but she was almost overwhelmed by this invisible fear.

Suddenly, a low roar sounded in the carriage, like some kind of beast groaning in pain. Then, a tall figure appeared at the connection of the carriages, holding a magic wand, and a dazzling silver-white light shot out from the tip of the wand, like a flash of lightning that cut through the darkness and illuminated the entire carriage.

"Call the gods to protect you!"

A ball of silvery-white light gushed out from the tip of the wand, rapidly expanding and eventually turning into a giant animal form.

The silvery-white figure shuttled back and forth in the carriage, dispelling the chill in the air and the fear in people's hearts.

Serena felt the suffocating feeling of despair gradually fade away, replaced by a feeling of warmth and comfort.

"It's Professor Remus Lupin!" Ginny's voice was full of surprise and excitement.

Only then did Salina see clearly that the person standing at the connection of the carriage was the new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, Remus Lupin. He looked exhausted and pale, but his eyes were still firm and calm.

Professor Lupin's patronus patrolled the carriage to make sure all the students were safe, then slowly dissipated into the air. The lights in the carriage gradually returned to normal, but everyone was still immersed in the fear and shock just now, and could not calm down for a long time.

"It's okay, kids," Professor Lupin's voice was a little hoarse, but he still tried to stay calm, "The Dementors have been driven away, and it's safe now."

"But...how come Dementors appear here?" a girl asked in a trembling voice, "Aren't they supposed to be guarding Azkaban?"

Professor Lupin was silent for a moment, seemingly trying to form his words.

"I don't know why they are here," he said slowly, "but this is very unusual. I will report it to Headmaster Dumbledore as soon as possible."

Professor Lupin didn't say anything else, just nodded slightly, then turned and walked towards the next carriage.

The students in the carriage began to discuss in low voices, all of them speculating on the reason why the Dementors appeared.

"Why do those Dementors appear here?" Ginny asked curiously, "Did someone release them on purpose?"

"I don't know." Colin shook his head.

"You say, could it be..." Ginny suddenly lowered her voice and said mysteriously, "Could it be that the mysterious man has returned?"

"Don't talk nonsense, Ginny." Colin said in his calmest tone, "The You-Know-Who is dead. He can't come back."

Ginny wanted to say something else, but at this moment, the door of the carriage was suddenly opened from the outside. A tall figure appeared at the door, with a trace of anxiety and worry on his face.

"Salina, are you okay?"

It's Cedric.
