Hogwarts Lion Girl
Chapter 232 Departure to the Department of Mysteries
Umbridge stared at Hermione suspiciously, then looked at Harry, as if weighing the credibility of this statement.
She hesitated for a moment, but her greed for credit eventually overcame her reason.
She winked at the two men beside her, signaling them to keep an eye on Ron and Snape.
And she grabbed Harry's arm and pulled him to her side, her other hand tightly gripping her wand against Harry's throat before motioning for Hermione to lead the way.
Hermione walked in front pretending to be calm, leading Umbridge and Harry through the castle to the edge of a dense forbidden forest.
Umbridge looked around suspiciously, gripping her wand tighter.
Hermione pointed deep into the Forbidden Forest and said with certainty that Dumbledore's secret weapon was hidden there.
Umbridge followed Hermione inside half-believingly, while Harry followed behind with a heavy heart.
The three of them wandered around in the Forbidden Forest and soon brought Umbridge to the area where Hagrid's brother was.
Hermione had wanted Grawp to deal with Umbridge, but she hadn't expected the place to be empty and Grawp was nowhere to be found.
At this point Umbridge finally lost her patience. She realized that she had been fooled and became furious. She was about to attack Hermione and Harry.
Suddenly, there was a rustling sound in the surrounding woods, and a group of tall and strong Centaurs came out from behind the trees and surrounded them.
A centaur suddenly pulled the bowstring, and a sharp arrow shot towards Umbridge like lightning.
The arrow made a sound of breaking through the air and went straight to Umbridge's chest.
However, Umbridge was prepared. She quickly waved her wand and a light pink barrier appeared out of nowhere, blocking her.
The arrow hit the barrier with a sharp bang, and then fell to the ground helplessly.
The enraged Umbridge was furious and she quickly chanted a spell. A thick vine rose from the ground and wrapped around the centaur who had just shot the arrow like a snake, hanging him high in the air.
At this moment, Grawp's huge body rushed out from the depths of the forest. He grabbed Umbridge's shoulders, turned her over and held her firmly.
The sudden attack made Umbridge panic. She struggled desperately, waving the wand in her hand wildly, emitting dangerous rays of light.
Grawp was trembling with fear at the spell fired from the wand. He opened his big hands in horror, snatched Umbridge's wand, and threw it far into the depths of the forest.
Seeing this, the other Centaurs immediately seized the opportunity, waving their bows and arrows and approaching Umbridge.
They worked together to cut down the vines that bound their companions.
Then, several strong Centaurs rushed to Grawp, grabbed the still struggling Umbridge from his hands, quickly turned around and rushed into the depths of the forest, disappearing into the dense bushes.
Harry walked forward and gently patted Grawp's huge hand, thanking him for his timely help.
Hermione gave Grawp a grateful smile as well, and tried to explain to him what had happened in simple terms.
Grawp seemed to understand what Hermione meant. He grinned happily, revealing a simple smile.
After the two confirmed that Grawp was not in danger, they turned and ran towards Hogwarts.
Harry and Hermione ran all the way and soon arrived at the pier connecting to Hogwarts Castle.
There, they met Ron, Neville, Ginny and Luna who had hurried over.
It turned out that Ron and his friends had been worried about the safety of Harry and Hermione, so they came to the Forbidden Forest to look for them.
Everyone gathered together excitedly and talked about their experiences.
Finally, they unanimously decided that the most urgent task now was to rush to the Ministry of Magic and rescue Sirius.
Luna suggested that they ride to London at night, which would be fast and covert.
……
After arriving at the Ministry of Magic, Harry followed the guidance in his dream and went deep into the Department of Mysteries.
He pushed open heavy wooden doors, walked through narrow and gloomy corridors, and finally arrived at his destination - an empty and mysterious room.
The room was dimly lit and the air was filled with a smell of dust and mold.
Harry looked around and found that the room was neatly lined with shelves reaching up to the ceiling, on which countless prophecy balls were placed.
The primary goal of Harry and others is to find Sirius Black. They carefully examine each prophecy ball, hoping to find clues.
As time passed, the atmosphere in the room became more and more tense, and everyone's nerves were on edge.
Suddenly, Neville let out a cry of surprise, breaking the silence in the room.
He pointed to the label of a prophecy ball in front of him and said hurriedly: "Harry, look, your name is on it!"
Harry's head snapped up and he looked in the direction Neville was pointing.
Ron, Hermione, Ginny and Luna also stopped and gathered in Harry's direction. They all wanted to see what Neville had discovered.
Harry picked up the prophecy ball carefully. The cold and smooth surface made him feel uneasy. He tried to steady his slightly trembling hands and wanted to see the scene inside clearly.
Just then, a tall dark shadow appeared silently in the passage in front of the shelf, blocking the faint light.
Harry's heart sank and a sense of foreboding came over him.
The black shadow slowly took off the hood covering his face, revealing a pale, thin face with a cold smile at the corner of his mouth.
There was a cold light flashing in those eyes, as chilling as a poisonous snake.
"Good evening, Harry."
"It's you!" Harry exclaimed, recognizing the man as Draco's father, Lucius Malfoy.
Lucius said nothing more, but just smiled and raised his wand to point at Harry.
At the same time, several figures in black robes appeared on the other side of the shelf. They walked over quietly and surrounded Harry and others.
Harry recognized that the tall woman walking in front was Sirius's cousin, Bellatrix Lestrange, an avid follower of Voldemort.
Lucius tried to persuade Harry to give him the prophecy in a seductive tone, promising to ensure his safety.
However, although Harry did not know the function of the prophecy, he understood that what Voldemort expected was definitely not a good thing, so he rejected Lucius's proposal without hesitation.
The two sides were in a stalemate and the atmosphere was tense.
The Death Eaters slowly approached, ready to attack.
Suddenly, Harry shouted, "Now!"
Before he finished speaking, Harry, Ron and Hermione raised their wands at the same time, and several dazzling beams of magic light pierced through the dim room and hit Lucius and Bellatrix directly.
Neville, Ginny and Luna were not to be outdone; they stood back to back, waving their wands in unison to force back the approaching Death Eaters.
The room was suddenly in chaos, the light of the spells intertwined together, illuminating the prophecy balls on the surrounding shelves, reflecting an even brighter light.
Taking advantage of the chaos, Harry and the others immediately turned around and fled.
