Hogwarts Lion Girl

Chapter 220 Percy's Plan

Salina watched Terrence's car disappear at the end of the street, then turned and walked into the coffee shop.

She walked briskly up to the second-floor terrace and immediately saw Percy standing by the railing.

Percy seemed to be looking downstairs until he heard Serena's footsteps and turned around.

Sharina noticed that Percy's face was paler than before, his eye sockets were sunken, and there was a layer of blue stubble on his chin. He looked like he was shrouded in a layer of depression.

Sharina walked up to Percy and asked with concern: "Percy, how are you doing recently? You don't look well."

Percy smiled bitterly, rubbed his tired eyes with his hands, and said in a low voice: "It's just as bad as you saw."

Looking at Percy's haggard appearance, Salina asked distressedly, "What happened? Why did you quarrel with your family? Your mother is very sad because of your attitude."

Percy was silent for a while, then whispered, "I know, Salina, I know that what I did made my family worried, but given the current situation, I have no choice but to do this. This is the best way."

He raised his head, his eyes full of helplessness and worry: "Fudge is now on high alert, targeting anyone who gets close to Dumbledore. My father has been blacklisted by Fudge because he openly supports Dumbledore."

Salina asked worriedly, "Will Fudge be harmful to your family?"

Percy took a deep breath and said firmly, "For the safety of my family, I must stay with Fudge. Only in this way can I get as much information as possible and avoid the Weasley family becoming someone else's gun or being implicated."

Salina asked in confusion: "Since it is for the good of your family, why don't you explain these reasons to them? I think your family will understand you."

Percy shook his head, his eyes flashing with determination. "Salina, you don't understand. Fudge is a very suspicious person. I have to make him believe that I am really on his side. Acting to this extent is foolproof. Only when the fake becomes real, will Fudge be able to really trust me."

Salina looked at Percy distressedly and asked softly, "But, Percy, don't you feel wronged by doing this?"

Percy smiled bitterly, his eyes full of helplessness and bitterness. He whispered, "Yes, of course. I feel very uncomfortable, but, Salina, do you understand? In the entire Weasley family, perhaps I am the only one who is suitable for doing this kind of thing."

He paused, with a hint of self-mockery in his tone: "Maybe I was born to play such an unpleasant role, hiding in the dark, doing those dirty work that no one knows about."

Salina wanted to say something, but seeing Percy's lonely expression, she finally chose to remain silent.

Percy turned his gaze towards the busy traffic below the rooftop and said in a low voice, "You know, Salina, I've always felt out of tune with the other children in my family since I was a child. They are passionate, brave, and impulsive, but I always seem calm, rational, and even a little indifferent."

He smiled self-deprecatingly, with a hint of confusion in his tone: "Maybe, I shouldn't have entered Gryffindor at all. I should have gone to Slytherin, to the cellar, and kept company with those shady guys."

Sharina held Percy's hand distressedly and said firmly: "No, Percy, you are wrong. You are willing to sacrifice yourself for your family. You are a true Gryffindor!"

She paused, then continued, "Besides, not all Slytherin students are shady. We cannot deny all Slytherins just because of those few who are consumed by ambition."

Percy stared into Serena's eyes, and a smile gradually appeared at the corner of his mouth. This smile melted the haze between his brows like the warm sun in winter.

Salina's words flowed through his heart like a clear spring, dispelling the gloom and bitterness that had accumulated for a long time.

He nodded gently, with a bit of emotion and gratitude in his tone: "Salina, you are always so considerate. When I first met you, I was attracted by your sunny and cheerful temperament. You are like a ray of light that illuminates my dark world."

He paused, reached out and gently held Salina's hand, his eyes sincere and earnest: "Salina, I..."

Percy hesitated, as if trying to decide on the right words.

Feeling the warmth of Percy's palm, Salina asked gently, "Senior, do you want to say that you want me to be your confidant?"

Percy did not deny it. He held Serena's hand tightly, with a hint of pleading in his tone: "Serena, are you willing to listen to me and stand by me all the time?"

Salina nodded without hesitation and said firmly, "Of course, senior, I'm always here."

She paused and said with concern: "But, senior, you have to promise me that no matter how busy you are in the future, you must eat well, rest well, and don't let yourself be too tired."

Serena winked playfully and continued, "I'll have your owl supervise you."

Percy was amused by what Salina said. He asked with a smile: "My owl? When did it become your spy?"

Salina smiled slyly and said, "Because it knows that I am doing this for your own good!"

Percy shook his head helplessly, then smiled and agreed, "Okay, okay, I'll pay attention."

Serena stood up and prepared to leave. She assured Percy again, "Don't worry, senior. I will take good care of your family for you. You can continue with your plans and arrangements." After that, Serena turned and left the cafe.

Percy watched Serena's car disappear around the corner of the street. The people coming and going outside the cafe seemed to have become the background. Only the red car silhouette going away left a faint warmth in his heart.

He withdrew his gaze, picked up the coffee on the table, and was about to savor it carefully, but he found that a familiar figure suddenly appeared opposite him and sat down without any courtesy.

"Why did you come just now?" Percy raised his eyebrows, looking at the dusty guy in front of him, with a hint of teasing in his tone.

Oliver snatched Percy's coffee cup and drank it all in one gulp. The bitter taste made him frown: "Pah, ah, ah, what the hell is this? It's so bitter and you didn't even add sugar!"

Percy slowly withdrew his hand and said calmly, "Adding sugar to coffee is a waste of food."

He glanced at the empty coffee cup and added, "And who asked you to steal my coffee?"

Oliver then noticed that there was another cup of coffee and sugar cubes on the seat next to him. He touched his nose awkwardly, his eyes wandering around: "Where's Salina? Has she left?"

"What else? Wait for you to invite her for afternoon tea?" Percy looked at Oliver with a smile.

Oliver finally reacted. He slammed the table and glared at Percy. "Percy, did you deliberately move up the time of meeting her? You made me make a wasted trip!"

"No, I just delayed the time I told you." Percy corrected slowly, with a hint of cunning in his tone.

"You!" Oliver pointed at Percy angrily. He kept saying "you" for a long time but couldn't say anything. Finally, he could only spit out angrily, "You are such a sinister guy!"

Percy smiled nonchalantly, "Even if I told you the correct time, you probably wouldn't be able to find the time to come, right?"

Oliver was speechless, he had to admit that what Percy said was true.

He has been busy with his Auror work recently, and often stays away from home for days and nights when he receives a mission. He has long forgotten the agreement with Percy.

"So you used Salina as bait?" Oliver said unhappily.

Percy shrugged, noncommittal.

Oliver sighed helplessly, he knew that he had been fooled by Percy this time.

"I won't trust you next time." Oliver said through gritted teeth.

"Oh? Do you want to bet?" Percy looked at Oliver provocatively. "If you lose, you will be standing up Salina."

Oliver: ...the sinister Weasley.

Oliver leaned back, crossed his arms, stared suspiciously into Percy's eyes, and asked in a deep voice, "Tell me, what are you up to? What did you trick me into coming here for?"

Percy's eyes were dim, and he explained in a flat tone, "Fudge is now like an ostrich, thinking that he can solve the problem by burying his head in the sand. This self-deceiving behavior will only push him to a dead end. What we have to do is to wait until the last moment, take action when he is in the most embarrassing situation, gain the greatest achievement, and leave a strong mark in his resume at the Ministry of Magic."

He paused, looking at Oliver with burning eyes, "During this time, I will try to arrange some tasks for you that can gain more merits, and do a good job of publicity to make you the hottest new star among the Aurors. So, you must also be fully prepared, understand?"

Oliver was silent for a moment, digesting the information in Percy's words, and finally nodded helplessly to show that he understood.

He looked at Percy, who was strategizing and taking every step carefully, and couldn't help but sigh: "You are really becoming more and more like those politicians' dark sides."

Percy smiled faintly, with a hint of self-mockery and determination in his tone: "Only when you climb to the top position can you better talk about fairness and justice."

A white dove flapped its wings and took off from the windowsill. A few white feathers fell lightly, one of which happened to fall into a small puddle under the windowsill. It floated on the water for a while, swirling slowly, and finally sank to the bottom of the water. Its color gradually became as deep as ink.
