Hogwarts Lion Girl

Chapter 201: The Trophy Becomes a Portkey

Just as he was about to run around a corner, Harry tripped over a protruding tree root, lost his balance, and fell heavily to the ground.

The wand in his hand also flew out and fell a few meters away.

At this moment, Krum, who was chasing Harry, rushed out from the corner and collided head-on with Cedric who was rushing over.

Cedric was slightly stunned, and before he could react to what was happening, he saw Krum's lifeless face and aggressive posture.

Instinctively, Cedric reacted quickly. He raised his wand without hesitation, uttered the spell clearly, and hit Krum accurately with one shot, stunning him.

Krum groaned and his body swayed. Before he could stand firm, the originally peaceful hedge suddenly seemed to come alive. Thick vines shot out from the hedge and quickly wrapped around Krum's body like a snake, pulling him back violently.

Krum struggled but was unable to break free from the vines. He could only let out an unwilling roar and was dragged by the vines into the tall hedges, disappearing into the green.

Harry struggled to stand up, but felt a huge force restrain his ankles and drag him backwards violently.

Looking down, he saw a thick vine tightly wrapped around his calf. The tough vine cut into his flesh, causing a sharp pain.

Cedric was quick-witted and quick-handed. He rushed forward and swung his wand to hit the vine accurately.

The vines broke with a sound and fell limply to the ground.

Cedric reached out, pulled Harry up, and asked with concern, "What happened?"

Harry picked up the wand that had fallen to the side, shook his head with lingering fear, frowned, and said with a tone full of doubt and uneasiness: "I don't know, Krum was chasing me like crazy."

Cedric pondered for a moment and guessed, "Maybe he fell into a trap in the maze and lost consciousness."

As they were talking, they turned the last corner and the view in front of them suddenly opened up.

The towering hedge parted here, revealing an open space. In the center of the open space was the trophy of the Triwizard Tournament, shining with golden light.

"It looks like this is the last leg of the journey." Cedric took a deep breath, his eyes firm, "I won't show mercy."

"Well, let's see who's faster." Harry also clenched his wand, his eyes flashing with a determined light.

The next second, the two of them took steps at the same time and sprinted towards the trophy.

With his tall stature and agile steps, Cedric quickly overtook Harry by half a body length and was about to reach the finish line first.

However, at this moment, a sudden change occurred!

Cedric's left foot seemed to be tripped by something, and he lost his balance and staggered forward a few steps.

He tried to steady himself, but due to the great inertia he was unable to control himself and eventually fell heavily to the ground, raising a cloud of dust.

Before he could get up, a thick vine shot out from the hedge behind him and wrapped around his ankles as fast as a poisonous snake.

The Triwizard Tournament trophy was only a few steps away. The light of victory seemed to be right in front of him. Harry's heart beat faster and he could feel the magic emanating from the trophy calling him.

His pace became faster, each step was filled with power and determination, and the finish line seemed to be within reach.

But at this moment, he heard a muffled groan behind him.

Harry's heart skipped a beat and a sense of foreboding came over him.

He stopped suddenly and looked back, only to see Cedric's ankles entangled by a thick vine, unable to move.

Cedric struggled to free himself from the vines, but they only tightened around him, like a python constricting its prey.

Seeing this scene, Harry's heart was suddenly filled with contradictions and struggles.

On one side is victory at hand, countless honors and praises, and the opportunity to prove oneself; on the other side is the safety of friends, the test of friendship, and the choice of conscience.

He gritted his teeth, a gleam of determination flashing in his eyes.

Harry turned suddenly and ran towards Cedric, raising his wand and chanting a spell, and a red light hit the vine directly.

The vines broke with a sound, and Cedric was free. He looked at Harry gratefully and got up from the ground.

"Why did you turn back?" Cedric asked in confusion, "You could have won."

Harry shook his head and said firmly: "You saved me before, I'm just returning the favor."

Cedric was silent for a moment and asked, "So what should we do now?"

Harry thought about it and suggested, "How about we take it together?"

Cedric raised an eyebrow, then smiled and nodded in agreement: "Okay."

The two walked forward together, looked at each other, and reached out to hold the cold trophy at the same time.

The next moment, a powerful magical force instantly enveloped them.

Harry felt dizzy and his stomach churning. Cedric's suppressed groans came to his ears, and it was obvious that he was not feeling well either.

Time seemed to be infinitely stretched, waiting for the arrival of liberation.

I don’t know how long it took, but the intense pulling sensation finally disappeared.

Harry fell to the ground weakly, his vision blurred and his ears buzzing.

He struggled to shake his head, trying to wake himself up, but found that his body was as heavy as if it was filled with lead.

He forced himself to stand up shakily, only to find that Cedric had also fallen beside him in a similar mess.

The two of them supported each other to stand steady, not caring about the dust on their bodies, and looked around in confusion.

The expected deafening cheers did not appear, and what greeted them was dead silence.

Thick fog filled the air, shrouding the surrounding environment in a haze. Only the outline of the hills in the distance could be vaguely made out. The eerie environment was clearly away from Hogwarts.

"What's going on?" Cedric's voice trembled slightly, and it was obvious that he also noticed that something was wrong with the atmosphere.

Harry didn't answer, his eyes kept scanning the surrounding environment.

The thick fog was like a huge gray-white curtain, obscuring all the scenery. Only the outlines of a few dead trees could be vaguely seen in the distance, looking particularly eerie and terrifying in the fog.

"I seem to have been here before..." Harry muttered to himself. Some vague images flashed through his mind, but those images seemed to be separated by a layer of frosted glass and could not be seen clearly at all.

"No, it was in my dream..." He shook his head violently, trying to get rid of those horrible fragments of memory.

"What?" Cedric was confused and had no idea what Harry was talking about.

"Oh no! We have to leave here quickly!" Harry suddenly grabbed Cedric's arm and said hurriedly, his voice full of fear and anxiety.

"Calm down Harry, what are you talking about?" Cedric asked confused.

"It's too late, we have to go!" Harry ignored Cedric's question, he pulled Cedric up, turned around and wanted to run.
