Hogwarts Lion Girl

Chapter 137 Percy's Feelings

On the first day of summer vacation, the sun shines through the gaps in the leaves of the sycamore trees, casting mottled shadows on the ground. Cicadas chirp tirelessly on the branches, and the summer heat evaporates in the air.

The cry of an owl broke the tranquility of the early morning. Salina rubbed her sleepy eyes and climbed out of bed.

She opened the window, and a gray owl flapped its wings, landed steadily on the windowsill, and handed a letter to her.

There was the Weasley family logo printed on the envelope. Salina opened it curiously. It was an invitation from Ron, inviting her to attend Percy's graduation party at the Burrow.

There was a ripple in Salina's heart, "It's good to go and take a look." She said to herself with a smile on her lips.

The Burrow was as busy as ever, Mrs. Weasley bustling about the kitchen, the air filled with the sweet aroma of food.

Mr. Weasley was excitedly introducing his newly improved magical item - this time it was a fork that could automatically peel potatoes. Unfortunately, it seemed more interested in carrots.

The twin brothers Fred and George were talking to Percy and trying to "celebrate" his graduation with various prank props.

"Selina, you're here!" Ron greeted her warmly, and Harry hugged her with a blushing face.

"Welcome to the Burrow, dear Salina!" Mrs. Weasley poked her head out of the kitchen and greeted her warmly, "Dinner will be ready soon. You, Harry and Ron should go upstairs and rest for a while."

……

Salina walked into Ginny's room. The room was in a mess, with clothes and all kinds of strange things piled on the bed.

Ginny and Hermione were tidying up their rooms, trying to find a place to stay amidst the chaos.

"It seems I came at the wrong time." Salina said with a smile.

"Don't say that, Salina. We are so glad you can come." Hermione put down the clothes in her hands and gave her a warm hug. "Percy is going to work in the Ministry of Magic after graduation. We are all very happy for him."

"Yeah," Ginny also came over, "but he seems a little strange recently, always mysterious, and I don't know what he is busy with."

……

At dinner time, the Weasley family's dining table was filled with sumptuous food, including roast chicken, mashed potatoes, pea soup, fried fish fillets, and pies of various flavors, which made people salivate.

The long dining table was covered with a tablecloth carefully woven by Mrs. Weasley. It was embroidered with magical patterns and flickered faintly as people moved.

The aroma of food filled the air, whetting everyone's appetite.

Mr. Weasley sat at one end of the dining table, his face flushed, and he kept putting fish fillets and baked potatoes on Harry and Salina's plates, fearing that they would not have enough to eat.

"Eat more, kids, and make yourself at home." Mr. Weasley said warmly, "Especially you, Harry, you can't go hungry in my house."

"Thank you, Mr. Weasley," Harry mumbled through his mouth full of food.

Mrs. Weasley was sitting at the other end. She wiped the sauce off the corner of Ron's mouth and said with a smile, "Arthur, let them do it themselves. Don't overstuff them."

Ron grumbled in dissatisfaction: "I'm not bursting at the seams, I just want to have another piece of pie..."

"No, you've already eaten three pieces!" said Mrs. Weasley sternly. "If you eat any more you'll turn into a ball!"

Twin brothers Fred and George winked at each other and whispered in Ron's voice: "I'm not stuffed, I just want another piece of pie..."

Their imitation caused everyone to laugh. Ron blushed and glared at them angrily.

Serena sat between Harry and Ron, she gracefully cut the roast chicken on the plate while listening to the Weasley family's lively conversation with a faint smile on her face.

Hermione and Ginny chatted about girlish topics, their voices soft, like two larks whispering.

Percy sat aside. He seemed a little absent-minded. He glanced at Salina from time to time, wondering what he was thinking.

……

As the sun sets, the sky is dyed a brilliant orange-red, the flowers in the garden sway gently in the evening breeze, and the air is filled with the fragrance of earth and grass.

Salina and Percy strolled along the garden path, the afterglow of the setting sun making their shadows particularly long.

Percy suddenly stopped, and Salina turned to look at him in confusion, only to see him taking a deep breath, as if trying to muster up his courage.

"Salina, I..." Percy's voice was trembling, "I, I like you."

Salina was stunned. She had never expected Percy to suddenly confess his love to her.

She had always considered Percy as a friend and a senior worthy of respect, but had never thought about the possibility of love.

"Percy, I..." Salina was speechless for a moment, not knowing how to respond.

Percy looked at her nervously, his eyes full of anticipation and uneasiness.

"I need some time to think about it." Salina finally said softly. She didn't want to give a hasty answer, nor did she want to hurt Percy.

"Okay, I'll wait for you." There was a hint of loss in Percy's tone, but he still looked at Sharina gently, as if to say that no matter what decision she made, he would respect her choice.

Serena dropped her eyes, feeling a little uncomfortable with Percy's passionate confession.

She gently stirred the cold tea in her hands, trying to hide her inner panic.

"I will go to the Ministry of Magic for an internship later." Percy's voice brought Salina back to reality.

He looked at the last ray of light in the distant sky, his eyes flashing brightly, "My goal is to enter the center of power and change some things."

Serena looked up, surprised at Percy's sudden honesty.

She had always known Percy to be a goal-oriented, motivated man, but she had never imagined that he would reveal such deep ambitions to her.

"This is really a lofty ideal." Salina chose her words carefully, with a hint of admiration in her tone, "I believe you can do it."

Percy finally showed a smile on his face. He turned to look at Salina with a gentle but firm gaze, "Thank you, Salina. If you encounter any trouble in the Ministry of Magic in the future, you can always come to me."

Salina also smiled and nodded, her hair swaying gently with her movements, shining warmly in the afterglow of the setting sun: "Okay, I will."

Salina and Percy's figures were reflected in the ancient pool, and ripples appeared in the breeze.

The two walked slowly along the cobblestone path, their figures elongated in the light and shadow.
