Chapter 337 The School Year Is Ending

Wright, who was alone again, checked the information on the stone tablet that he hadn't seen for a long time on his way back to the dormitory:

"Complete the mileage 'The Rise of the Demon King', mileage point increased by 1."

"Complete the mileage 'Witness the Timeline of Collapse', mileage point increased by 1."

Thinking about how he hadn't earned any mileage points this semester, Wright suddenly felt a little depressed:

"It seems that not killing Voldemort, but merely forcing him to escape, is no longer a milestone."

"And what does this 'The Rise of the Demon King' mean? Shouldn't it be 'The Return of the Demon King'?"

While he was daydreaming, Wright had already walked through the silent lounge and returned to his bed.

Early the next morning, the little wizards came to the auditorium yawning.

Many people looked tired, and it was obvious that they did not sleep well because of the incident yesterday.

As the number of people increased, all the students gathered around the long table of their respective colleges, trying to find out the follow-up of yesterday's incident.

Most of the young wizards pointed and talked at Cedric, who was still alive and there was nothing unusual about him.

Even Wright, who appeared in the last broadcast, was being watched.

Of course, Wright didn't care and had his breakfast quietly.

Suddenly, a large group of owls, which was extremely rare, flew into the auditorium.

Apparently, the matter of the 'Triwizard Tournament' has been known to Dadong.

The owls carefully delivered newspapers and letters to their respective owners.

As students opened the Daily Prophet, panicked shouts replaced the noisy discussions.

Wright casually glanced at the newspaper in Hermione's hand and knew that Fudge and old Barty must have been behind this:

"The mysterious man has returned, where should we go?"

Below the front-page headline is a large photo of the event.

The Death Eaters crawled on the ground, surrounding Voldemort, Pettigrew with a broken arm, and Harry who was tied to a tombstone.

Right below the event photo, there are a few lines of small words that are extremely eye-catching:

"Everyone hurry up and read it, we don't know when this news will be taken down!"

"The editorial department has been warned by the Ministry of Magic not to publish any information related to the You-Know-Who."

"We don't know how long we can hold on, so please watch and cherish it!"

Next is the cause, process and result of the Triwizard Tournament.

And the Daily Prophet's predictions on what will happen next.

The report was not very long, but it plunged the entire auditorium into an extremely strange silence.

Just then, another group of owls flew over and dropped another batch of The Daily Prophet.

This time the report was extremely strange, with only a statement.

It requires everyone to destroy the previous report and not believe any news published in it.

This contradictory and absurd feeling, like a strange story about rules, immediately ignited the entire silent auditorium.

Some people seemed to have found psychological support and tore up the last newspaper madly, still making strange and sarcastic laughs.

Some people simply put the newspaper in their arms and stared vigilantly at people around them who looked strange.

There are even more students who are willing to believe the first newspaper but dare not show the slightest expression of approval.

They were afraid of being attacked by the mysterious man and retaliated by the Ministry of Magic, so they could only follow the crowd and pretend to be ignorant.

The noise continued for a long time until a loud "silence" spread throughout the auditorium, and the noise slowly stopped.

This solemn voice attracted the attention of all the students.

Dumbledore stood at the front of the hall, his voice serious and calm: "I read the report, so I came here."

"Here, I want to tell you that what was written in the first newspaper is true."

"We need to admit one thing, Voldemort has returned, this is a fact!"

The hall was immediately filled with nervous whispers, and almost all the students looked at Dumbledore with fear.

But Dumbledore did not comfort them, but stated the facts directly:

“Students, perhaps in the near future, we will all have to go through a dark period.”

"I hope all of you here can unite. Only in this way can we get through this dark night!"

……

After a brief speech, Dumbledore turned and hurried away, as if he still had a lot of things to do.

Breakfast also ended in silence, and the little wizards gathered in groups of three or four.

They discussed the existence of the mysterious man in a heated and fearful manner, and how to tell their families about this horrific incident.

Originally, after the final exams and before the results came out, the students were going to spend a happy holiday in Hogwarts.

But now it was clear that none of them were in any mood for fun.

Just when Wright had breakfast and was about to go to the secret room, Cedric found him:

"Thank you very much. I heard Harry say that if it weren't for you, I would have been killed."

In response, Wright just waved his hand casually, saying that it didn't matter, they were all classmates.

After a few brief greetings, the two separated and went about their own business.

The days that followed became quite quiet. After Voldemort's matter had been discussed for so long, the heat had dropped a lot.

Mad-Eye Moody, who had been teaching for a year, finally sat at the professor's seat for the first time to eat, but almost no students knew that he had been replaced.

Moody seemed at a loss when faced with the friendly greetings from these students.

During this period, Bucky, under the instruction of Wright, specifically found Hermione.

In the name of the Ministry of Magic, take the bug that Rita Skeeter has transformed into away from her.

After this, the reports in the Daily Prophet became extremely strange.

They publish two newspapers every day, the first of which features Rita Skeeter describing the horrors of Voldemort's return.

The second one first denied the authenticity of the first one, and then described Dumbledore as an ambitious person.

It was as if all the troubles were caused by him, and Voldemort was fake and fabricated by him.

Due to the contradictions arising from the two newspaper articles and the reputation that Dumbledore had accumulated before.

Just as Wright had deduced, the entire wizarding world gradually became dissatisfied with the Ministry of Magic.

The distrust and estrangement among the people are constantly growing.

During this turbulent time, the students of Durmstrang were also in low spirits.

Their headmaster, Karkaroff, ran away after confirming Voldemort's return.

Krum, who could be a leader, "encountered" Hermione every day and had no intention of doing so.

Obviously, Voldemort’s return had nothing to do with them, but it was the biggest blow to them.

But Wright knew very well that Karkaroff had not removed the 'Dark Mark'.

He will definitely be caught by Voldemort, who is currently seriously short of manpower, and exploited to death.

As for Beauxbatons Academy, except for Principal Maxime.

The students just ate and drank as usual, without any worries or tension.

As the weather gets hotter, this school year is coming to an end.

All the noise was deliberately hidden until the next outbreak.
