Chapter 29 Dumbledore
"Snape, McGonagall, you're too harsh! Shouldn't we first ask them why they are here?" A kind voice sounded behind everyone!
"Albus! Is the situation in the Great Hall settled?" Professor McGonagall asked Dumbledore who suddenly appeared.
"Everything is settled! Most of the students are in their respective college lounges awaiting notification, and Sproul is watching over Quirrell."
"So can you tell me why you are here?" After Dumbledore answered McGonagall, he changed the subject and asked about Wright and his group.
"I wanted to test how strong I am, so I came to find the troll. Harry and the others were worried, so they followed me here!" Light answered first.
"Is that so?" Dumbledore then turned his gaze to Harry and the other two.
"That's not the case. They came to find me! Headmaster, I just came to find the troll. I thought I could deal with it. I knew its weakness from the book, so I came here."
"Wright and the others came to find me, so it's all my fault." When Hermione heard Wright's answer, she stood up anxiously and took the responsibility on herself.
"In that case, then let's follow Snape's punishment! But! Rags..." Dumbledore paused slightly and continued.
"Because of your brave action, you protected your classmates. I'm going to give Gryffindor an extra 20 points." Harry and the other two breathed a sigh of relief when they heard this.
"Headmaster, isn't this a bit too lenient?" Snape said gloomily.
When Harry and the other two heard Snape say this, they became nervous again.
"No young wizard can defeat a troll shortly after entering school. He deserves it!" Snape did not refute further.
"Thank you very much for your tolerance! And thank you very much to the professors for arriving so quickly." Wright thanked with a smile.
When Wright and the professors finished their pleasantries, Dumbledore suddenly spoke:
"McGonagall, Flitwick. I need you to help me take Wright and the others back, and inform the students that the crisis is over and the dinner can continue."
"Snape and I will be there as soon as we finish this place."
After hearing Dumbledore's instructions, McGonagall and Flitwick took Wright and the other three to the Great Hall.
"What do you think, Snape!" Dumbledore waved his hand, and the blood on the ground seemed to go back in time and automatically returned to the troll's body.
"A very good wizard. The speed and power of his magic are up to par, but the accuracy is not very good. He probably rarely deals with living creatures." Snape said as he looked at the troll's fully recovered body.
"How come? Why do you think he is so outstanding?" Dumbledore seemed to be interested as well.
"His first strike destroyed the opponent's weapon, and his second strike hit the lower right side of the giant's abdomen. He was probably trying to destroy the opponent's mobility, but unfortunately he missed."
"Although the third and fourth attacks caused huge damage to the giant monster, he should have intended to hit the head, but unfortunately they missed."
"Then the fifth and sixth attacks worked normally and killed the giant monster directly."
"Destroy weapons, eliminate mobility, and kill the vital points. It can be said that this strategy is effective against any opponent. It is indeed excellent." Dumbledore also agreed with Snape's statement.
"And he was very calm and decisive. When he found he couldn't subdue the enemy, he killed him." Snape continued, standing on the slightly slippery ground.
"You're right. Maybe I should talk to him. Do you want to use this giant monster's body? If you need it, I'll send it to your office."
"Yes, there is a potion that requires the body of a troll." Hearing what Snape said, Dumbledore waved his hand again, and the troll on the ground disappeared instantly.
"Okay! Let's continue the party!"
While sitting on the chair at the Gryffindor table and reviewing the battle just now, Wright received a message from the stone tablet:
"Complete the mileage 'The Strongest Appreciation', and the mileage point will increase by 1."
After all the students returned to the hall, Dumbledore appeared and announced that the banquet would continue.
While enjoying his meal, Wright vaguely felt that someone was watching him, so he looked up and found that Dumbledore was looking at him.
Wright was not afraid. He smiled and continued eating.
After eating and drinking, when Wright was about to go back, a bat landed beside his ear and whispered:
"I hope to talk to you. Can you come to my office later? I'll wait for you there." Wright nodded slightly after hearing this. The bat beside his ear also flew away.
Wright said goodbye to the Iron Trio and headed for the principal's office, taking deep breaths to cheer himself up.
Wright walked through the campus with a nervous mood, and under the illumination of many pumpkin lanterns floating in the air, he came to a huge and ugly stone monster.
Wright took two deep breaths and said the password provided by the bat: "Lemon Sherbet".
Wright recited the command, and the stone monster in front of him came to life and jumped to the side, revealing a wall.
The wall splits in the middle, revealing a spiral staircase hidden within.
Wright stepped onto the stairs, and when he took a few steps, the wall behind him suddenly closed.
The spiral staircase automatically spiraled upward until Wright felt like vomiting. Then it slowly slowed down and finally stopped.
A gleaming wooden door appeared in front of Wright. Wright walked forward, reached out and grabbed the brass door knocker in the shape of a lion's body and eagle's head, and knocked on the door.
As soon as I knocked on the door, the wooden door opened automatically.
Seeing this, Wright pushed the door open and walked in. The room behind the door was extremely bright. There was a shelf in the round room, and a bird was standing on it and taking a nap.
The room was filled with portraits of past headmasters of Hogwarts, and each portrait had the headmaster's name and tenure marked at the bottom.
Looking around, there were all kinds of strangely shaped magic items placed everywhere. Wright immediately noticed the wide, flat, hollow basin with complicated patterns carved around it. It looked like a fancy wash basin.
In this empty room, Wright called out "Principal" several times but no one responded.
So Wright continued to walk into the house, intending to sit and wait at the large table in the middle of the room.
There was a mirror next to the table, and Wright walked closer and took a quick look.
This mirror is very impressive, reaching up to the ceiling, with a gorgeous golden frame and two claw-shaped brackets supporting the ground. The top of the mirror is engraved with:
"Eris Stella Erhlu Ayit Ubi Kafru Ayiton Vohes"
"Mirror of Erised," Wright instantly knew the origin of the mirror and hesitated whether to move forward.
"I'm sorry, there's more tonight than I thought. Sorry for the long wait!" A gentle voice sounded in the room.
Wright turned around and saw an old man with a white beard sitting in the middle of a large table, explaining something to him.
