Chapter 259: Peeves the Troublemaker
Listening to Ron's boasting about the retired Auror, Harry's eyes lit up and he couldn't help asking:
"Is this true? Is he really that powerful?"
"Of course it's true, that's what my father said, even Ginny knows it!"
When Ron heard Harry's question, he immediately called Ginny to be a witness to prove that he was not lying.
Hearing Ron's words, Harry looked over to verify it.
Ginny felt the burning gaze of her idol, Harry, and said shyly:
“Yes…yes…!”
"Dad did say that when he dropped us off at the station."
"Great!"
Harry cheered immediately. It seemed that the professors in his first and second years had brought him a lot of pressure.
Hermione also smiled and said happily:
"In that case, there won't be any problem with the Defense Against the Dark Arts class this year!"
Hearing their conversation, Wright shook his head secretly. Moody's reputation was not very good now.
And it wasn't him who came to class, it was Barty Crouch Jr. who came under his identity.
But then again, the Defense Against the Dark Arts class is really poisonous.
Every professor of the Defense Against the Dark Arts class is weird and has some problems in some way.
As we chatted along the way, the train continued to move towards Hogwarts and drove directly into a heavy rain.
The sky was pitch black and the windows of the carriage were covered with a hazy mist.
The dim train also turned on its lights at the right time, illuminating the darkness here.
Encountering such bad weather right at the beginning of school made the little wizards recall the past.
The strange and weird memory of being trapped on a train by Dementors.
As the Hogwarts Express moved forward, the sky grew darker and the rain fell more heavily.
From time to time, a few huge, winding lightning flashed through the thick dark clouds, followed by deafening thunder!
The train sped along, breaking through the heavy rain and strong winds, heading straight for its destination.
A few hours later, as the students looked forward to it, the Hogwarts Express slowly slowed down in the storm.
After a sharp whistle, the train slowly stopped at the dark station.
“It’s raining so hard!”
"Can't we wait until the rain stops before getting off the car?"
……
Harry and Ron had bitter faces, and Hermione and Ginny were reluctantly preparing to get up.
And Wright took out his wand and waved it gently:
"Waterproof and moisture-proof!"
After casting a spell on everyone's clothes and shoes, he didn't wait for them to ask.
He casually picked up a few candies on the table and turned them into umbrellas, handed them to them and explained:
"I've put a water repellent charm on your clothes, but not your heads, so you still need to use an umbrella."
After hearing what Wright said, they all picked up their umbrellas and went out obediently.
The station was crowded with little wizards hiding from the rain.
Ginny excitedly found Luna in the crowd and invited her to share an umbrella with her.
Wright also handed an umbrella to Neville, who looked hesitant.
At the site, Wright cast waterproof spells on all the friends he knew, then walked into the rain with an umbrella.
The other wizards followed suit and took out various items from their bodies and turned them into umbrellas!
At the urging of the prefects, all the wizards reluctantly left the small site and ran wildly in the heavy rain holding umbrellas.
In the pouring rain, Wright and others walked on the flooded dirt road and came to an open space.
More than a hundred empty carriages pulled by thestrals were waiting for the wizards to arrive.
Wright picked a carriage at random and climbed on it hurriedly.
With the sound of heavy rain beating down on the ground, the carriage started slowly and headed towards the castle.
Sitting in the carriage that was swaying in the strong wind, Wright wanted to "Apparate" directly to the castle more than once.
Before he had time to think, the carriage stopped steadily in front of the castle gate.
Seeing that they had arrived at their destination, Wright didn't think much about it and was the first to get out of the carriage.
Harry, Hermione and Ron also came out one after another and walked towards Hogwarts Castle together.
As soon as Wright approached, he heard strange laughter, noise, and even cursing coming from the front.
When he walked to the door, he saw a group of little wizards blocking the door. They seemed to be afraid of something and did not dare to move forward at all.
"What's going on here?"
Ron stood on tiptoe and kept looking out to check the situation ahead.
Before he could figure out what was happening, countless screams suddenly rang out.
A red balloon filled with water fell from the sky and exploded in the crowd, splashing water everywhere.
Harry pointed at the laughing ghost in the air and shouted:
"It's Peeves! He's blocking the door."
“Wakakaka…”
Hearing the students' screams, Pipi Ghost laughed even harder.
Keep throwing balloons filled with water into the crowd.
The little wizards who had just come through the heavy rain and had already put away their umbrellas were once again attacked by water balls and were chilled to the bone.
I don’t know if someone came to complain or if he was startled by the commotion outside the door.
Professor McGonagall hurriedly opened the door and walked out of the hall.
Looking at Peeves who was throwing water balloons, he shouted, "Peeves, stop your pranks now."
"How can I stop? I can't stop."
Peeves was yelling and throwing water balls crazily with a constant weird laugh.
"Oh my God!"
Harry exclaimed, nimbly dodging an incoming water ball.
But Ron was not so lucky. The water ball that Harry dodged hit him straight on, splashing water all over.
Fortunately, the waterproof spell had not worn off and Ron did not get wet!
Looking at Peeves laughing strangely in the air, Wright took out his wand.
Aim for the right moment and cast the spell when it is about to throw the water ball:
"Wadi Wasi!"
The moment the magic wand was waved, the balloon thrown down by Peeves flew straight back.
"Boom bang bang..."
Peeves was unable to react in time and was hit by the water ball it threw.
Peeves kept shouting out extremely terrified cries:
"Oh no! No... How could it be..."
Wizards who had taken Lupin's Defense Against the Dark Arts class heard this familiar spell and saw Peeves' miserable scene.
They all drew their wands and fired at Peeves who had just been hit:
"Wadi Wasi!"
In an instant, all the broken water balls that Peeves threw on the ground flew up and hit it.
"Don't... I was wrong... How can I... Don't..."
Under the constant attack of burst balloons, Pippi screamed and rushed into the auditorium.
"Great!"
“We chased it away.”
"Very good……"
……
Professor McGonagall, who had already drawn her wand, saw this scene and couldn't hide a smile on her serious face.
When the cheers died down, Professor McGonagall shouted, "Students, come in quickly!"
"Don't stay at the door any longer. The Sorting Ceremony is about to begin. Come in!"
