Chapter 24 Flying Lessons

"It's the Fiendfyre after all! We'll need it to destroy Voldemort's Horcruxes in the future!" Wright closed the book and looked towards the restricted area.

"I have to be careful from now on. Although Voldemort believes me for now, he will definitely test me to see if I know that he is possessed by Quirrell."

"But don't worry too much. According to the time calculation, Quirrell will soon be bitten by the three-headed dog Fluffy because of his search for the Philosopher's Stone, and then he will go to deceive the honest man Hagrid. He won't have time to look for me in the short term."

Wright withdrew his gaze, returned the book and went to class.

……

"Wright, why do you always look sleepy?" Ron asked curiously as he looked at Wright who was eating lunch in a daze.

"Why is that? I want to know, too." Wright, who had been studying all night, said casually.

Ron didn't ask any more questions, and instead talked to Harry about this afternoon's flying lesson. Just as Harry and Ron were chatting happily, they heard Malfoy bragging loudly:

"I learned to fly before I went to school. Once, when I was riding my broomstick home, I almost hit a Muggle helicopter. If I hadn't reacted quickly, I would have knocked it down."

Ron seemed to have heard someone bragging, so he started to brag too: "Back then, I flew around the town on my broomstick many times without anyone to guide me at home!"

Wright poked at his steak and listened to their bragging, and made a decision in his heart. 'I will never stay up all night again. If I do, I will be a dog.'

The flying class soon arrived, and Harry and Ron pulled the refreshed Wright and hurried to the place where the flying class was held.

As soon as I arrived, I saw that all the Slytherin students were already there.

After everyone arrived, the flying teacher, Madam Hooch, asked the students from the two academies to stand facing each other with a flying broom next to them.

Wright looked down at the broom next to him. The broom looked very old, as if it had been used for a long time.

Following Madam Hooch's instructions, Wright stretched out his right hand and placed it on the flying broom after the whistle sounded, and issued an order: "Get up!"

The broom rolled twice on the ground and then stopped. Light could not help but look at the progress of others and found that everyone had failed except Harry.

The boastful Malfoy had to try several times before he managed to succeed.

Ron, who was also a boaster, was a little unlucky. Maybe it was because he was too impatient, but the flying broom bounced up rapidly at Ron's command and hit Ron directly on the forehead.

After secretly looking at everyone, Wright tried again. After three attempts, the broom flew into Wright's hands by itself.

Madam Hooch turned around a few more times, and when everyone had their brooms, she began to teach them how to fly.

"Wait, when you hear the whistle you can take off. Remember to hold on to the broom tightly and don't fly too high. Just enough to get off the ground." Madam Hooch said and directed the little wizards to get on the broom.

Before Wright got on the broom, he heard a whoosh, and the broom flew up into the sky with a figure, followed by screams of fear.

"what!!!!"

Wright couldn't help but pat his head when he saw this. He had been working all night and his brain was dull. He forgot about this and took out the magic wand he carried with him.

The young wizards looked in the direction of the scream and saw Neville, who was carried into the air by the broom, falling straight down, and the whole place was in chaos.

"Slow down and fall slowly." Wright pointed his wand at Neville, who was falling rapidly in the air. The invisible force slowly surrounded Neville, and he slowly slowed down as he continued to fall. Finally, Neville stopped steadily half a meter above the ground.

"Okay, Neville, put your feet down and stand up!" Wright said to Neville, who closed his eyes in fear.

"Very well done, five points from Gryffindor." Madam Hooch came over on her broom and saw that Neville was not injured. After adding the points, Madam Hooch flew back and continued to give flying instructions.

"Neville, are you okay?" Harry looked at Neville with a worried look on his face.

"No, it's okay!" Neville looked frightened.

"Are you okay? Do you need to go to the infirmary?" Wright asked Neville carefully.

"No, thank you, Wright!" Neville said with a little cry.

Just as Wright was about to speak, he heard a familiar voice.

"Look at this! This slug falling from the sky. It's so funny. I guess he will never dare to ride a broom again." Malfoy and his little brother came over, with a gloating expression on their faces.

"Enough, Malfoy!" Harry, who was standing next to Neville, stood in front of Malfoy.

Malfoy seemed to be happy just now, and he doubled his sarcasm: "Look at that slug, he's about to cry now. I didn't expect that you would make friends with such a guy, Potter!"

"Apologize to Neville, I don't allow you to laugh at Neville!" Harry said, suppressing his anger.

"Apology, ridiculous! If I throw this on the tree, do you think that slug will climb up by itself or beg me?" Malfoy took out the memory ball that Neville dropped, said some provocative words, and flew up on his broom.

"No." Neville looked sad.

"Malfoy." Harry, furious, chased after Malfoy despite Hermione's dissuasion.

Wright couldn't help but marvel at Harry, who was able to perform various flying postures in his first flight.

Hermione asked Wright worriedly, "What should we do? Should we report to the teacher? What if Harry gets expelled?"

"It's okay, I believe Harry, and Madam Hooch will probably be very happy! She has already noticed this place." Wright glanced at Madam Hooch who was slowly flying over and comforted Hermione.

Harry, riding on his broom, flew quickly in the air and soon blocked Malfoy's path, making the little wizards on the ground who had not yet ascended to heaven feel envious.

"Damn it, Potter!... This is for you." Malfoy gritted his teeth and shouted at Harry angrily, then threw the memory ball in his hand into the distance.

Seeing this, Harry immediately rushed up and almost hit the castle spire. Harry stopped suddenly in the air to avoid the spire, and then dived towards the memory ball.

"No, don't! Harry." Neville shouted in a crying voice.

Under the horrified gaze of everyone, Harry stopped steadily at a height of one meter near the ground, still holding the Memory Ball in his hand.

"It's okay!" Wright comforted Neville and his group who were about to be frightened.

"What are you doing?" Madam Hooch looked at Malfoy with a grim face. She had thought that it was just a fight between two kids who had just learned to fly, but she didn't expect that an accident almost happened.

When Hermione saw Madam Hooch coming, she immediately started to complain.

"No! We were having a fight..." Before Malfoy could explain, Wright's sarcastic voice came over.

"No way! No way! The son of a school director dares to do something but not take responsibility for it. It's really shameful!"

"That's right." Malfoy looked at Wright hatefully and admitted it with gritted teeth.

"In that case, deduct 20 points from Slytherin." Madam Hooch said as she looked at Harry flying towards her slowly.
