Black Myth! Wukong kills gods and Buddhas!
Chapter 35 Taiyi Zhenren 2
Once upon a time, there was a stone monkey named Wukong, who was born in the Water Curtain Cave in the Flower and Fruit Mountain in the Dongsheng Shenzhou. He was intelligent, capable of transformation, and had great supernatural powers. He worshipped Master Subhuti as his teacher and learned the art of 72 transformations and somersault cloud. Later, he made a big fuss in the Heavenly Palace. The Jade Emperor sent heavenly soldiers and generals to capture him, but they were unable to defeat him. In the end, he was suppressed by the Tathagata Buddha and lived under the Five Elements Mountain for 500 years.
In the Tang Dynasty, there was a monk named Xuanzang who was ordered to go west to obtain Buddhist scriptures. On the way, he passed by the Five Elements Mountain. Wukong was moved by his sincerity and was willing to protect him on his way west. From then on, the journey of the master and his four disciples to the west was full of difficulties and dangers, and demons and monsters appeared everywhere.
One day, they came to a place called "Taiyi Fairyland", which was surrounded by clouds and mist, and the air was ethereal. Wukong saw the hidden evil spirit in it with his golden eyes, so he told his master. Xuanzang was compassionate and wanted to enter the fairyland to find out what was going on. Wukong was afraid that it might be dangerous, so he insisted on exploring the way first.
Entering the fairyland, Wukong saw only fairy flowers in full bloom, beautiful grass and flowers, but the evil spirit was getting stronger. Suddenly, he heard a burst of fairy music, and following the sound, he saw an old man with a fairy-like appearance, holding a whisk, sitting on a lotus platform. It was Taiyi Zhenren.
Wukong stepped forward and saluted, then asked, "You are an immortal living in a fairyland, so why is there an evil aura everywhere?" Taiyi Zhenren smiled but did not answer, instead asking, "Who are you and how dare you trespass into the fairyland?" Wukong introduced himself and stated his purpose.
Upon hearing this, Taiyi Zhenren's expression changed slightly and he said, "I am one of the twelve golden immortals of the Chan Sect. How could I associate with demons? However, recently, my disciple Nezha was injured by a demon. The demonic energy spread everywhere and may have spread to the fairyland. I am planning to find the demon and kill it."
Wukong was suspicious, but considering the important task of obtaining the scriptures, he did not want to cause any trouble, so he said, "In this case, I am willing to lend a helping hand to the immortal and together we can eliminate the evil spirits."
Taiyi Zhenren nodded in agreement, and the two walked side by side, through the flowers and around the trees, looking for the trace of the monster. When they arrived in front of a dark cave, the demonic aura rose to the sky. Wukong waved his golden hoop, and the cave door burst open, revealing a green-faced, fang-toothed monster holding a sharp blade, standing in the cave.
Seeing this, the demon laughed and said, "You came to my doorstep, just the right meal for me!" Then he turned into a black wind and rushed straight at Wukong. Wukong dodged the attack and swung out his golden hoop to fight with the demon.
Taiyi Zhenren also did not neglect, and offered Qiankun Circle and Hun Tian Ling to help Wukong. The two magical powers intertwined, and the monster gradually felt exhausted, but the monster was tenacious and still fought to the death.
When the fight was at its most intense, Wukong suddenly felt something strange inside the monster. He looked closely and found that it was Nezha's soul trapped by the monster. Wukong was shocked and asked Taiyi Zhenren: "Zhenren, what is going on?"
Taiyi Zhenren sighed and said, "This is my fault. Nezha was fighting a monster and was ambushed by it, and his soul was imprisoned. Although I knew it was here, I had no way to break it. I could only use my immortal energy to suppress the evil spirit to prevent it from spreading."
Wukong was furious when he heard this and said, "How dare you hurt my brother? Watch out!" After that, he raised his golden hoop like a mountain and took the monster's head. Taiyi Zhenren also stepped up his attack, and the Qiankun Circle and Hun Tian Ling turned into thousands of rays of light, surrounding the monster.
The monster finally couldn't hold on under the double attack, and uttered a shrill scream before vanishing into thin air. Nezha's soul escaped from the predicament, floated out, and reunited with Master Taiyi and his apprentice.
When Wukong saw this, he was overjoyed and said, "Master, we have eliminated the evil spirit, we should leave quickly to avoid any further accidents." Master Taiyi nodded in agreement, and then he and Wukong escorted Nezha's soul back to the fairyland.
After returning to the fairyland, Taiyi Zhenren cast a spell to restore Nezha's soul to his body. Nezha woke up and thanked his master and Wukong for saving his life. Wukong smiled and said, "Brothers, why should we thank each other? We should continue to travel west, retrieve the scriptures, and save all living beings."
Taiyi Zhenren also said: "What Wukong said is very true. I see that you four masters and disciples are compassionate and determined to obtain the scriptures. You will surely achieve success. Although I cannot go with you, I hope to protect you with my immortal spirit and keep you safe along the way."
After that, Taiyi Zhenren gave Wukong an elixir and said, "This elixir can help you ward off evil spirits and drive away demons, and keep you safe on the journey." Wukong was extremely grateful and accepted the elixir. He bid farewell to Taiyi Zhenren with his master and fellow disciples and continued on their journey to the west.
Since then, the story of Wukong's battle with Taiyi Zhenren has become a legend. However, Wukong only wanted to go west to obtain the scriptures and achieve enlightenment. The four masters and apprentices went through 81 difficulties and finally reached the Leiyin Temple in the West, obtained the scriptures, and achieved perfection. Wukong was also named Fighting Buddha and enjoyed eternal bliss.

After Wukong became a Buddha, he often thought about the sufferings of the world. Although he was in paradise, he was still thinking about the common people. One day, the Buddha summoned him and said that there were still unfinished business in the three realms, and Wukong was needed to go and solve it. Wukong accepted the order, bid farewell to the Buddha, and returned to the human world.
At this time, the world has gone through hundreds of years of vicissitudes and changes. Wukong stepped down from the clouds and saw that the world was prosperous, but also harboured dangers. He became worried and transformed himself into a wandering monk, walking between the streets and listening to the people's sentiments.
When they arrived at a place, Wukong heard people talking about a demon king who had just appeared in the world and was occupying the mountains and forests, committing many evil things and oppressing the people. Wukong was furious when he heard this and decided to get rid of this demon.
As night fell, Wukong sneaked into the forest and saw demonic spirits everywhere and ghostly lights. He used his magical powers and his golden hoop turned into thousands of golden lights, illuminating the forest. Seeing this, the demon king led a group of demons out to fight Wukong.
The demon king was huge, holding a mace in his hand, and looked very aggressive. Wukong sneered and said, "You evildoers have brought disaster to the world. Today is your doom!" After that, he swung his golden hoop and fought with the demon king.
Seeing this, the demons came forward to help. Wukong's body was as fast as lightning, and when he waved his golden hoop, demons flew everywhere and screamed. Although the demon king was brave, he could not match Wukong's magical powers and was gradually defeated.
Just when Wukong was about to annihilate the demon king, he suddenly heard a long howl from the sky and a figure broke through the air. It was Taiyi Zhenren. Wukong was startled and thought to himself, "Where did the Zhenren come from?"
Taiyi Zhenren descended from the clouds and saw Wukong and the demon king fighting fiercely. He hurriedly said, "Wukong, wait! This demon is not that demon. It has its own reasons."
Wukong was even more confused when he heard this. He put away his staff and asked, "Why do you say that, Master?"
Taiyi Zhenren sighed and said, "This demon king was originally a local mountain god. The mountain he protected was occupied by a bully, and the people were displaced. He rebelled in anger, but was framed by the bully, lost his godhood, and became a demon. He was filled with resentment, so he committed evil to take revenge."
After hearing this, Wukong thought for a moment and said, "So that's how it is. But doing evil is doing evil and it cannot be forgiven."
Taiyi Zhenren shook his head and said, "No. Buddhism says that all living beings suffer and everything has its cause and effect. If we can resolve the resentment in his heart and guide him to be good, that would be the best strategy."
Wukong felt compassion when he heard this and said, "Master, what you said makes sense. But how can we resolve his resentment?"
Taiyi Zhenren smiled slightly and said, "This matter still requires you and me to work together. You use your magical powers to subdue the demon king, and I will use my magic to purify his mind. Then we will find the bully, bring him to justice, and give justice to the people."
Wukong nodded in agreement, and the two joined forces to subdue the demon king. Taiyi Zhenren then used magic to purify his mind, and the demon king woke up, showing remorse and willing to reform.
Afterwards, Wukong and Taiyi Zhenren found the bully, captured him, and handed him over to the government. Upon hearing the news, the people cheered and burst into tears of gratitude.
After the task was completed, Wukong and Taiyi Zhenren smiled at each other and left. Wukong continued his wandering monk life, spreading Buddhism and saving all living beings, while Taiyi Zhenren returned to the fairyland and continued to practice the way of immortality.
Since then, there has been no more demonic troubles in the world, and the people live and work in peace and contentment. They all say that Wukong and Taiyi Zhenren are great heroes in the world. During his travels, Wukong also understands the true meaning of Buddhism more, and his heart is more compassionate than before.
As time goes by, Wukong's name is recorded in history forever. And the story between him and Taiyi Zhenren is also widely praised by later generations and becomes an immortal legend.
