Since then, the story of Wukong's battle with Taiyi Zhenren has become a legend. However, Wukong only wanted to go west to obtain the scriptures and achieve enlightenment. The four masters and apprentices went through 81 difficulties and finally reached the Leiyin Temple in the West, obtained the scriptures, and achieved perfection.
