In the past, when chaos was just beginning and heaven and earth were not yet created, a stone monkey emerged from the Flower-Fruit Mountain in the Dongsheng Continent. His name was Wukong. His eyes were like golden lightning, his body was like copper and iron, he could lift mountains, and his magic was divine. Wukong met the Bodhi Patriarch and learned magical powers such as the Seventy-Two Transformations and the Somersault Cloud. He then made a big fuss in the Heavenly Palace, alarming the three realms. One day, another general appeared from the Heavenly Palace. He was wearing golden armor and holding a nine-toothed rake. He was very majestic. He was the Marshal Tianpeng, the leader of the Four Saints of the North Pole. Tianpeng, following the order of the Jade Emperor, led the Tianhe navy and marched towards the Flower-Fruit Mountain. Upon hearing the news, Wukong laughed and said, "Tianpeng is just a mere general. I will go and meet him later." After that, he picked up the golden hoop and rode the somersault cloud to the Tianhe River.

The fairy had a beautiful face and a noble temperament, just like the goddess of the sky descending to the mortal world. She looked at Wukong and smiled faintly, "Great Sage, please wait." Wukong said angrily, "Who are you? How dare you stop me?" The fairy smiled and said, "I am the dragon girl under the seat of Guanyin Bodhisattva. I am here on the order of the Bodhisattva to dissuade the Great Sage."

Wukong sneered when he heard this, "So what about Guanyin Bodhisattva? I am not even afraid of the Jade Emperor, so why would I be afraid of her?" The Dragon Girl smiled and said, "Great Sage, please don't be angry. Guanyin Bodhisattva knows that you have justice in your heart, but you act too recklessly, so she sent me to persuade you." She paused and said, "Although Marshal Tianpeng has made mistakes, his crime is not punishable by death. If the Great Sage can spare his life, Guanyin Bodhisattva will be grateful."
