Crime Hunt Files: Bloody Angel

Chapter 22 Murder in a daily rented villa 22

Three years later, Jian Ping was admitted to university in Yue'an City.

Jian An didn't know where Yue'an City was, but she looked through the window and saw the long, fiery red firecrackers hanging on the courtyard door, and thought that Yue'an must be an amazing place.

Soon after, Jian Ping left the village crying with a bunch of luggage.

Once we go, we won't see him again for several months.

Jian An leaned on the cold interrogation chair and looked down at the ground.

"Jian Ping is really tolerant. I didn't know she hid so many things from us until I experienced it myself."

Ever since Jian Ping went to Yue'an to attend college, Jian An's days have been counted day by day. Four years ago, Jian Ping, who was supposed to arrive home that day, did not come back.

She asked her parents why her sister didn't come back. Her parents shook their heads and said that Jian Ping probably had something of his own to do, so he was delayed. It wouldn't be strange to be a day or two late.

But Jian An couldn't sit still.

At night, after his parents went to bed, Jian Ping's figure still did not appear from the familiar door.

It was the first time she went out alone, and she didn't know how to find anyone. She could only follow the memory of Jian Ping taking her for a walk and follow her way back.

Under the white moonlight, in the distance, she seemed to see a dark figure lying on the roadside.

Instantly, Jian An felt her heart tremble, and a bad thought rushed out of her mind, occupying all her reason.

Jian Ping, Jian Ping, no, no Jian Ping.

Jian An ran over, and as soon as she took two steps, she felt her heart beating like crazy.

Even if the most important person in her life fell far away, she could only approach slowly step by step. She couldn't even do such a simple thing as running towards her.

She is really useless.

"Sister, sister."

Finally, Jian An walked to Jian Ping's side. Jian Ping closed her eyes and curled up on the ground, remaining motionless no matter how Jian An called her.

"What to do... what to do... what to do... who will save Jian Ping..."

Jian An knelt on the ground, surrounded by endless fields.

The sky is far away, and the two sisters caught in the middle are as small as a drop in the ocean. But even though their bodies were so weak, Jian An still felt suffocated because this place was already filled with her endless despair and helplessness.

Jian An held Jian Ping's cold and blue hand, looked up at the twinkling stars in the deep sky, and felt her strange body temperature.

sat for a long time.

I don’t know how long it has been.

A question suddenly flashed in Jian An's head. The doctor has clearly said that Jian Ping's heart disease is not very serious. If he is not stimulated and is not affected by external forces, he will not attack easily.

External force, what external force?

Jian An wanted to call the police, but she had been sick for so long and had become a good doctor. No one knew more about heart disease than she did.

She turned over Jian Ping's body and looked at it for a long time. There were no external injuries on her body, her pupils were dilated on both sides, her extremities were cold and blue, and there were one or two medium-sized spots on her skin.

These are all symptoms of death after a heart attack.

Looks like this, even if you call the police, nothing will be found. In the end, they would only receive a notification telling them that Jian Ping died of a heart attack.

Heart attack, she didn’t believe it!

Thinking about it, Jian An's eyes started to hurt again. She sniffed her sore nose and burst into tears.

Suddenly, there was an irritating pain in the left chest, leaving a thin layer of sweat on Jian An's forehead. She felt bad, so she covered her chest with one hand and took out the heart disease medicine from her pocket with the other hand and put it under her tongue.

The effect of the life-saving medicine was extraordinary. Within seconds after taking it, Jian An felt a significant improvement.

For a moment, she froze and thought of something.

There was no medicine around Jian Ping, and there was no medicine in her pocket.

Jian An carefully rummaged through Jian Ping's luggage, but the answer was still no.

How can it be. Growing up, they who suffered from congenital heart disease would carry life-saving medicine with them every day. Why didn't Jian Ping bring it?

Jian An looked at the things scattered on the ground, including clothes, shoes, books, and daily necessities. But there just wasn't anything she was most familiar with.

The book that Jian Ping regarded as a treasure contained her adaptation of the play "Old Dreams".

On the contrary, there was a book she didn't recognize at all, with "Cage Murder" written on the cover.

Jian An remembered that Jian Ping told her that she joined the school drama club and she wanted to put the stories she wrote on the stage for more people to see.

This is the first step towards fulfilling her dream.

That is her sister's life, it is the book that she reads every time she is put to sleep, it is her future, and it is the book that she will never leave her body.

Someone must have taken it away!

By whom? Is he the one who hurt Jian Ping?

The answer that popped into her head made her eyes turn red.

"I want to know the truth. I want to find out. I can't let Jian Ping's death turn into a simple heart attack. I want the person who hurt Jian Ping to pay with blood!"

But how to do it?

She is a person who has never been out of Xinglong Village. What can she do to find out the murderer who hurt Jian Ping on her own?

Jian An stared at the face that looked exactly like hers lying on the ground, crying uncontrollably.

She never went to school, but she read books. Not only would Jian Ping teach her after school every day, but when she was bored, she would also study alone with textbooks that Jian Ping didn't need.

Jian An believes that she is just inexperienced, not incapable.

The night after, Jian An calmed down and came up with a plan to investigate the case.

She carried Jian Ping's body on her back and walked to the cornfield north of the village to exchange clothes and hairstyles with her. After finishing everything, she sat down next to Jian Ping, stayed with her, and talked to her as if saying her final farewell.

As daybreak approached, Jian An carried Jian Ping on her back again, step by step, all the way from the cornfield to the hill next to it.

She still remembered that when she was a child, Jian Ping told her that the scenery on the hills to the north of the village was really beautiful, and even the breeze blowing in her face carried the sweetness of freedom.

She liked it here and she wanted to bury her here.

Jian An said to herself, but she couldn't handle Jian Ping's body by herself. This family is not just for them, but also for their parents.

"Jian An" died, she always had to give her parents a reasonable reason.

Later, when she walked into the yard with her luggage and met Zhao Meilan head-on, she was scared.

But Zhao Meilan opened her mouth and called her "Ping Ping".

At that moment, Jian An's feelings were very complicated. She didn't know whether she should be grateful that she could get away with it so easily, or sad that even her biological parents couldn't tell the difference between them.

What happened next is already known.

The people in the village followed the young man all the way north and found the body of "Jian An" on a hill.
