Chapter 692: Battle against Tycross

Players from both teams sprinted across the field, bats thumping against Bludgers.

Gryffindor has had outstanding results in the past few years, but the old players have basically graduated. The newly recruited players are very talented and have strong growth potential. However, the team has only been formed for half a year and has not yet been fully integrated and lacks experience in major competitions. Although Katie Bell is in the middle of the team, the attack is fast and fierce, but they can never do what the twins do, knowing how to cooperate next with just a glance. They lack suppression power and are not flexible enough in transitioning back to defense, and always rely on the goalkeeper to save.

The current Hufflepuff players were basically trained by Cedric in the past two years. They had surprisingly strong cohesion and willpower. Even though they knew their winning rate was extremely low, the beaters still tried their best to hit the ball, the chasers sprinted selflessly, and the goalkeeper rushed towards every quaffle flying towards the goal without hesitation.

There was no clear gap in the score, the battle became tense for a while, and the two sides entered a stalemate.

Bludgers whizzed into the players' protective gear, and the Quaffle darted back and forth between the two teams.

The players moved with difficulty on the field. Hufflepuff's Seeker Summerby only had eyes for Harry. He fixed his broom in a prone position and followed closely behind Harry. No matter how thrilling and exciting fake moves Harry made, such as vertical turns, speeding stops, and falling to the ground and rising, Summerby never gave up and kept holding on tightly.

It was a pure confrontation and fight, and it was extremely entertaining. Even the Muggle freshmen who didn't know the rules of Quidditch watched it without blinking. Every time either side scored a goal, the cheers from the audience were even louder than in previous finals.

Loren stared at the players on the field. Because Hermione had just pulled her hand back, he could only stroke the stone with the whale's mark engraved on it. Under the influence of the magic of the stone, the scene in front of his eyes had a different layer of color.

Luna was still sitting in the commentary booth, with the magic microphone close to her mouth, and her ethereal voice spread throughout the stadium:

"Summerby seemed determined to follow Harry. Perhaps he thought he couldn't find the Golden Snitch before Harry, so he just stared at him. It was a smart idea. He was like a harassment horsefly. Harry couldn't do anything with him..."

Some of the younger students, who had not yet heard of Miss Lovegood's reputation, foolishly asked those around them what harassment flies were. For a few seconds, the audience was filled with a noisy sound that had nothing to do with the game.

Professor McGonagall had a calm expression. She had gradually gotten used to it. Problems of this magnitude were not considered accidents during the interpretation.

"Both Seekers have slowed down now. Summerby is panting heavily, like a unicorn on a long run. Also like Fang, Hagrid's hound, he's old and can't run as long as he used to..."

Professor McGonagall couldn't help but said, "Miss Lovegood!"

Luna blinked her innocent eyes and turned the topic back to the game: "Harry started to speed up again. Did he find the Golden Snitch? Maybe he used a fake move to consume Summerby's energy?"

Summerby, who was following behind Harry, stared at the legendary seeker in front of him, not daring to relax for a moment, although he had the same doubts in his heart.

The eyes of the audience were fixed on the two seekers. Even Hermione couldn't help but feel worried. She frowned and stared at the seekers' movements while looking for traces of gold ahead of their route.

Loren looked at Harry, his eyes reflecting an increasingly fiery red, and he had a vague answer in his heart.

Sure enough, after several speed changes and sudden stops and turns, the exhausted Summerby slowed down unconsciously. At the moment when he relaxed his vigilance, Harry suddenly lowered his head and dived towards a golden lion flag at high speed -

"Harry caught the Golden Snitch, Gryffindor wins!"

A tide of cheers instantly flooded the entire stadium.

The enthusiastic spectators rushed to the court, scrambling to squeeze into the inner circle to hug the players.

Loren watched the bright red colors representing excitement converge and blend together, and even the bright sunshine seemed a little dim. He withdrew his thoughtful gaze, took Hermione's hand and walked out.

Although the game is fun to watch, they have no interest in joining in the crowded celebration ceremony.

Walking out of the Quidditch field, the spring sunshine sprinkled on their bodies, conveying warm warmth, Hermione naturally clasped his fingers:

"Let's go back to the castle. I haven't finished my rune translation yet."

"Let's go to the lake. The daffodils are blooming this year."

……

Because of the Quidditch match yesterday, the Apparition lesson had been moved to Sunday.

The sun was so bright that the professors had no reason to confine them to the indoor auditorium. The Apparition class was set up outdoors in the open space beside the Black Lake, and the instructor who presided over the class was replaced by Professor Flitwick.

Although they were still using the old-fashioned wooden rings for repetitive exercises, the students all felt very novel, as if they were back in the first class. In addition, Simo shared his secret to successful teleportation, and the students were full of enthusiasm and chattered about it.

"New venue, new skills. I have a feeling that I will have a breakthrough today!" Ron waved his wand with an excited expression.

Dean glanced at Seamus secretly and nodded secretly.

We must not fall too far behind and must catch up with the progress, even if it means splitting up.

Practice began in the open space here. Under a leafy beech tree by the lake, substitute teacher Wicky Tekros also met the Loren Morgan he had been thinking about.

He has outstanding appearance and an indescribable temperament. His dark eyes are mysterious and make people afraid to look him in the face. I noticed him during the first class. If Professor McGonagall hadn't mentioned that he was a Muggle-born, Tycross would probably have thought that he was the heir of a pure-blood family.

Loren was also observing the instructor closely. His skin was so white that you could almost see the blue veins. His bones were so thin that one could tell with the naked eye that he didn't weigh much.

"...After returning last week, my colleagues and I analyzed the impact of closing our eyes. There are still some things we don't understand. Why can such a subtle change greatly increase the probability of successful spellcasting?" Although this Morgan looked very young, Tekros did not show any contempt for him and spoke in a tone that was completely asking for advice.

Loren had nothing to hide, so he explained it casually.

The Department of Transport Affairs produces portkeys, builds the Floo network, and teaches Apparition. They have a unique theoretical system for this type of space magic, which also involves some concepts of the soul, but it is not as clear and thorough as Loren's explanation.

The concept of soul and body analyzes Apparition from a new perspective. As Tekros listened, his eyes became brighter and brighter, and his excited mood caused an unhealthy blush to appear on his pale skin. He was shocked and suddenly enlightened.

"No wonder my body is getting weaker and weaker, and I'm gradually becoming a ghost. I never thought about it before..."

Although there are still some details that he hasn't figured out, Tekros has found the right direction under Loren's guidance. He couldn't help but sigh with emotion, "What a great discovery! If we can perfect Apparition from the underlying principles, we may be able to completely solve the problem of splitting."
