Chapter 655: Ron in Confusion

Hermione pursed her lips. She didn't know why Dumbledore insisted that she do it, but she didn't feel embarrassed.

She weighed the sword. She wondered if it was because the fairy's craftsmanship was too excellent. The last time she held the sword, she didn't feel it was heavy. Five years later, when she held the sword again, she didn't feel it was light. She even felt as if she was at ease with it.

The sharp tip of the sword pressed against the depression in the center of the crown, where the largest sapphire should have been inlaid, but now it was empty.

The frequency and amplitude of the crown's vibrations showed its own fear. Hermione pierced it without much effort, and thick black mist gushed out. Ominous magical disgust instantly enveloped the entire office.

"Uh...ah..."

A hoarse whine began to echo, and a sharp voice hissed from the crown: "I hear the voice in your head, and I know what you desire."

Loren quietly grasped the wand.

Dumbledore sat behind the desk, silent, his deep blue eyes as calm as a frozen lake.

"I heard your dream, Hermione Granger. You wanted to save those poor, mean elves. You wanted to -"

Before she could finish her words that were a mixture of temptation and intimidation, Hermione had already stabbed down with her sword. The crisp sound of metal breaking was heard, and after a shrill scream, the thick black mist dissipated, and the crown on the table was pierced in the middle, with a long and narrow gap running through the front and back.

Hermione calmly put the sword back into the Sorting Hat, just like a brave swordsman sheathing his sword. Loren had to admit that the little witch looked quite handsome, almost comparable to himself.

Just at this moment, thunderous cheers came from the Quidditch stadium in the distance, causing the glass windows to vibrate slightly.

"It's time to say goodbye..." Dumbledore smiled. "There will probably be a celebration party in the common room. Although things here are not convenient to disclose, I think it should not prevent you from enjoying your victory."

"..."

Loren and Hermione's questions were blocked, and they looked at each other, their eyes conveying similar messages.

No wonder Scrimgeour disliked Dumbledore.

The Riddler deserves it!

……

A jubilant atmosphere gushed out from the portrait hole, flooding the entire seventh floor like a tide. The young Gryffindor wizards crowded in the common room to excitedly celebrate their victory.

The Creevey brothers gathered around Seamus and Dean, loudly discussing the game that had just ended. Their faces flushed, they danced and imitated the players' movements when they were excited. Some people scolded the new Slytherin team for being as mean as before, and some people spit on the new commentator. Seamus and Dean felt very sorry about this and introduced to the students in the lower grades the grand occasion when Loren was the commentator.

"Malfoy didn't play again. I wonder what they are doing?"

"That Seeker Harper is so lame, like a funny clown!"

"When Harry finally snatched the Golden Snitch from him, he was dumbfounded, hahahaha..."

"Ginny is so pretty. I heard she was a backup seeker at first. I didn't expect she would be so good as a beater!"

"Yeah yeah!"

"..."

Loren and Hermione didn't ask specifically, they just listened and pieced together the situation of today's battle from those excited words.

Gryffindor players all performed exceptionally well, leading the opponent by 60 points in half an hour. Ginny scored four goals by herself, which stunned the audience. Ron defended all attacks, Perks and Gut cooperated well, but the two veteran players Harry and Katie had almost no room to play.

The commentator who replaced Lee Jordan was Zacharias Smith from Hufflepuff. He had a bad reputation and was generally disliked by Gryffindor players. He was always arrogantly commenting on others, and his chattering appearance was a bit like Ernie from the second grade.

But Ernie is now in sixth grade, and has become the head of Hufflepuff. He has a bit of Cedric's style...

Seeing the lively scene in the lounge, the heavy mood that Loren and Hermione brought with them from the principal's office gradually dissipated. Their shoulders felt lightened and they did not continue to struggle with it. After all, it was not something they could change.

Instead of going to the busiest place and avoiding the crowded crowd, the two of them sat down at the small round table in their old seat. Crookshanks came out from somewhere, meowed twice, rubbed his head against Loren's shoes a few times, and then lay down quietly.

Take out the snacks and pour some hot tea.

Loren and Hermione watched with great interest as the team members were thrown up and caught one by one, and waves of applause and cheers broke out in the lounge.

Tossing it several times was not enough, and the crowd of congratulatory people surrounded the most dazzling players, surrounded them and laughed loudly. Some people with amorous feelings winked at the players, not caring that some of them were already in relationships.

Harry and Ginny squeezed out with great effort, their hair messed up and their robes wrinkled, and they finally arrived at the small round table in a somewhat embarrassed manner.

"Tsk, why is the protagonist of the party going to the edge instead of staying in the center of the stage?"

"Stop making sarcastic remarks, Loren."

Harry poured himself a cup of tea, gulped it down, and let out a long breath of relief before he had time to straighten his robes.

Just now, when he was leading Ginny out of the crowd, he was so focused on protecting Ginny that he didn't notice that someone was taking advantage of him. It was ok to just pinch his arm muscles, but someone actually pinched his butt, and it seemed to be a boy!

"Pooh!"

Ginny also drank a cup of tea and slowly recovered. She vaguely felt that someone was missing nearby: "Where's Ron?"

"Look, in the middle of the crowd."

"The person holding the flowers next to him looks familiar..."

"It's Lavender! My roommate!"

"Tsk..."

Following Loren's gaze, the crowd that had been crowded together a few minutes ago automatically made room for them. The young wizards consciously formed a circle and excitedly watched the blonde girl with flowers walking towards the captain of the Quidditch team.

Ron looked confused.

"Ron Weasley!"

Lavender Brown's voice was trembling. She handed the flowers in her hand over and said tremblingly, "I like you. Can we be together?"

"Uh……"

Ron's mind went blank. Some instinct drove him to take the flowers and stand there stupidly.

Before he could react, amid the cheers and shouts of the crowd, Lavender threw herself into his arms, wrapped her arms around his neck, and planted a long, lingering kiss.

The unique smell of perfume on girls, the soft body in his arms, the wet heat in his mouth... these unprecedented experiences came to Ron all at once, and his brain froze and he almost suffocated.

After a long time, fresh air filled his chest again and Ron came to his senses. In front of him was the blonde girl, and around him were shrill cheers.

He blinked blankly:

"It seems, it feels... not bad?"
