The man behind Hogwarts

Chapter 47 Honey Water

"Students should not be allowed to enter the kitchen without permission."

"As long as it's not discovered." Evelin winked mischievously at William, "Do you know creatures like house elves?"

"Some understanding."

"They are two to three feet tall, with slender arms and legs. They have a big head and a pair of big eyes. They have big pointed ears like bats, and their voices are also very high-pitched."

Evelin explained to William.

"Also, house elves usually don't wear traditional clothing, but wrap their bodies in pillowcases or tea towels."

"I have three house elves at home. It's a lot, but it's far less than Hogwarts. There are more house elves here than I can count."

"Strange creatures." William said.

Evelin nodded.

"Indeed, we wizards also envy many of their abilities."

"When you see them later, you may have some sympathy for their situation."

"However, we must not provide them with substantial help. At most, we can use softer language."

William looked at her, "Why is this?"

Evelin curled her lips and said nonchalantly: "Who knows? This is a long-standing tradition in the family."

"Perhaps you can find the answer in the library later."

William nodded and said no more.

The two passed through the fruit paintings and entered a low corridor. In front of them, a very open space suddenly appeared.

William looked at this kitchen, which was particularly novel.

“What a special kitchen.”

The high-ceilinged great room was as large as the Hogwarts Great Hall above, with many gleaming copper pots and basins stacked against the surrounding stone walls, and a large brick fireplace at the far end of the room.

In addition, there are four large tables placed in the room, which are placed in exactly the same position as the tables of the four colleges in the auditorium above.

Many house elves were busy inside.

William looked over and found that they were only surrounded by a simple rag, such as a tea towel.

He muttered to himself: 'Just like Dobby. ’

'It's just that Dobby must still be at Malfoy's house now. ’

Evelin walked towards an elf who was serving a plate, "Dasu, can you make honey water?"

"Oh, it's Evelin. Honey water? I can, I can, bring it to you right away."

Dasu seemed to feel honored and moved as fast as lightning.

"Evelin, I just like honey water a little bit, not very..."

Evelin smiled narrowly.

"I understand, William only likes it a little bit."

She added: "I won't tell anyone else, I promise to keep it a secret."

William was satisfied.

Soon, Dasu brought two glasses of honey water and handed them to Evelin and William respectively.

"Thank you, Dasu. My name is William."

"H-Hello William, Dasu would be honored to serve you."

William took a sip of the honey water, which was fragrant, sweet and moist.

“It tastes good, but it seems to lack a bit of fragrance.”

"The last time I drank it was at the Leaky Cauldron, and their honey water was a little green."

Dasu looked depressed when he first heard it, but then he became energetic again.

"The Leaky Cauldron?"

"I know, they also added a kind of plant juice to it, I'll do it right away." He immediately ran to the back.

William looked at Evelin.

"Shouldn't I be so direct?" He didn't expect Dasu's reaction.

"No, they like you to be so direct."

Dasu is very good at cooking.

He just made William a glass of honey water that was exactly the same as the one in the Leaky Cauldron.

"It tastes good, I like it very much."

He praised Dasu unceremoniously, making Dasu smile happily.

Dasu also said that he would always prepare honey water ingredients in the future and provide William with this drink whenever he went to eat.

......

"I'm going to see Professor McGonagall later, do you want to come with me?"

Evelin asked curiously: "What are you looking for her for?"

William then talked about his plan to skip class, and by the way, he also talked about Cedric’s embarrassing incident before.

"I must have met Professor McGonagall's requirements now and am ready to apply to her again."

Evelyn laughed.

"You are so bad. Cedric was deceived by you."

"You can't talk nonsense, I won't lie to you."

"I originally wanted to go with you." Evelin sighed, "But I haven't finished my herbal medicine class homework yet."

"I'm worried that if I go with you, I'll end up in Cedric's situation."

"OK, then you continue to do your homework."

......

On the other side, the Hogwarts campus hospital seemed lively at the moment.

Madam Pomfrey helped the last boy heal his injuries.

"What on earth is going on with you?" she asked worriedly.

"We just accidentally fell."

"You still want to lie to me."

Madam Pomfrey raised her voice and said, "So many of you were injured at the same time, and the injuries are so obvious. It's obvious that you were beaten by someone else."

"Tell me, did you get into a fight with someone else?"

"Or did you guys fight each other?"

Fran explained: "We used to like to fight like this before we went to school. Who knew that we didn't control it well when we played today."

"I'm so sorry, Madam Pomfrey."

He still lied and didn't tell the truth.

Madam Pomfrey frowned, not sure whether to believe it or not.

"Forget it this time, don't do this again, otherwise I will have to tell Professor McGonagall."

"Okay, thank you." Everyone thanked them in unison.

boom.

Madam Pomfrey closed the door and left.

Fran immediately slumped onto the hospital bed and let out a long moan.

"Are you okay, Fran?"

"It's okay." Fran sighed, even if there was something wrong, it had already been cured.

Jim and others gathered around Fran.

They all have a slightly sad expression.

"What should we do now? We are so embarrassed this time."

"Yeah, ten people haven't beaten him, he will be laughed at to death."

"What's going on with William? Why is he so strong and his reaction speed so fast..."

Several people were talking about it.

Three people remained silent, seemingly overwhelmed by grief.

"You're pretty good. You're all in second grade, and you don't usually get to meet William. It's going to be miserable for the three of us."

said a new student Slytherin.

"We have several classes with William every week. What should we do in this situation?"

"Fran, you might as well give me an idea."

As soon as the three people finished speaking, there was a brief moment of silence in the ward.

Jim looked at Henry.

Henry looked at Little A.

Little A looks at Little B...

All the second graders looked at each other, their gazes flowing, as if they had reached a tacit understanding.

‘So, there are people worse off than us? ’

At this moment, they gained a different kind of comfort.

This is not uncommon. Sometimes people complain about the difficulty of life because there are many people around them who are doing well.

When you see others doing well, compare them with yourself.

From this arises "dissatisfaction".

Even "jealous".

But why can they be content with their current life?

The reason is simpler.

Because around them, there must be people who are more difficult than them.
