A little badger from Hogwarts

Chapter 2 I don’t want to be in the spotlight, please let me go

"Hart, what does Professor Dumbledore want from you?"

As soon as Hart returned to the lounge, he was surrounded by the little wizards.

"What are you doing here? Have you finished cooking?"

Cedric woke up the little badger loudly, and he was so busy listening to the gossip that he forgot about the food he was cooking.

So they scattered again.

Cedric shook his head helplessly, and then talked to Hart: "So, what does Professor Dumbledore want to do with you?"

"Dumbledore wants me to follow the professors to participate in this year's admissions event, saying that a little wizard like me is more convincing."

"real or fake."

Hart helplessly spread his hands and said: "This old man keeps talking all day long. God knows what he is thinking. Anyway, he is paid, so it won't be a loss if he goes."

"Actually, you simply can't refuse!"

"If you see through it but don't tell it, can you save some face for me!"

While Hart was chatting with his friends, he rolled up his sleeves and joined the little badgers in cooking.

Cooking is a Hufflepuff specialty and must be tried.

The most favorite thing for the little badgers is to get together to discuss their special dishes and improve their cooking skills.

After Hart enrolled in school, he not only brought fresh Chinese cuisine to everyone, but also held holiday banquets.

Every important holiday, such as Christmas, Halloween, or just before the holidays, the little badgers will get together and come up with their own unique skills.

Last year, following the success of the protest against Snape, the banquet was extended to other houses.

Hart generously sent an invitation letter to Slytherin, but it was torn into pieces by them.

After all, Slytherin still didn't appreciate it, so he could only exclude these little snakes from the lively banquet.

It's time to party.

The Weasley twins were the first to burst into the Hufflepuff common room.

When they smelled the food, they started to do weird things:

“Oh, I smell food!”

"It must be Hart's cooking."

"He is the miracle child."

“Bring food to us who are hungry.”

"Woooooooo..."

Holding the wand in his hand, Hart looked at the two living treasures who were still dancing and refusing to stop, and his forehead veins jumped: "If you two continue to act like crazy, you will not be allowed to attend this banquet."

George and Fred smiled and curtsied.

Hart rolled his eyes helplessly, waved his wand, and the strip of cloth wrapped around their mouths began to spin, knocking the two living treasures together and rolling into a ball.

Seeing this scene, everyone finally couldn't help laughing loudly, and the whole lounge was filled with joy.

Hart shook his head helplessly, walked up to the twins, stretched out his hand to pull them up: "Get up quickly, the banquet is about to begin."

The twins immediately got up, still smiling and complaining: "Hart, you are too harsh."

"Then you two should be more serious from now on and stop making jokes about me."

Hart pretended to be disgusted.

The twins sincerely admitted their mistakes and were determined not to change them.

Hart said viciously: "Sooner or later I will work out a curse that will make you two guys unable to speak anymore."

"It's so scary!"

Everyone knows that Hart is a good talker. Unless it is a matter of principle, he will basically not get angry.

Hart is indeed not angry. This feeling of mutual harm with a bad friend is not bad, and there is no need to be angry about it.

"Okay, the party has begun."

Hufflepuff, Gryffindor and most of the Ravenclaws arrived, and Hart clapped his hands to announce the start of the party.

Then the little wizards started eating and drinking. They were quite happy at first, but someone mentioned the results of the final exam.

A cloud of sorrow and mist instantly enveloped the entire banquet, and everyone began to sigh.

Hart asked strangely: "The exam just ended this morning, how did you know the results?"

This question stopped everyone in their tracks, and the junior students who were sighing suddenly got stuck.

"That's right, our results haven't come out yet, why are we sighing with them?"

After reacting, they started eating again.

The senior students began to express their bitterness: "The results in the O.W.L exam were not satisfactory, and there was no response to the resumes submitted to several departments. After leaving Hogwarts, I have no idea where to go."

Hart listened quietly to the complaints of these people and understood their distress.

Although life in the wizarding world is not very stressful, young people always have ideals and hope to find something to do instead of farming in some valley.

The problem is, positions in places like the Ministry of Magic or St. Mungo's Hospital all require professional skills.

Of course these newly graduated students cannot meet that standard, but after a few years in society, God knows what they will look like.

"Hart, what can we do?"

Senior students looked sad and drank the drinks as if they were wine, hoping to relieve their worries.

Seeing them like this, Hart was just glad that he didn't prepare any wine, otherwise Hogwarts would be filled with demons tonight.

"Enough drinks."

Hart winked and he and Cedric removed the drinks from the table before they were too full.

"But it's useless for you to look for me. I'm just an ordinary second-year wizard."

"You are not an ordinary little wizard, but a little wizard who can defeat the big devil Snape."

"Hart, our future depends entirely on you."

Hart had a headache. There were dozens of people graduating this year. How could he ensure that everyone could find a job?

Cedric came over and whispered: "Just say a few words, otherwise they won't let you go."

Hart spread his hands helplessly: "Okay, I do have an idea, but I'm afraid you won't accept it."

"As long as you say it, we will definitely accept it." Everyone started shouting again.

Hart said bravely: "First, if you can't stay in the wizarding world, you can go to the Muggle world to find a job. The living space there is quite broad."

The whole proposal was so exciting that everyone didn't know how to answer: "We don't know either. After living in the Muggle world for a long time, won't our magic level decline?"

Hart felt that even if they stayed in the wizarding world, the magic they could use were the life spells, and these would still be useful in the Muggle world.

But seeing how they resisted, Hart didn't insist anymore.

"Okay, let's talk about the second way. You can ask professors to offer vocational education courses."

Now they were confused, "What does this mean?"

Hart patiently explained: "You all know that professors are the top figures in all walks of life in the wizarding world. If the professors are willing to give you special training, it couldn't be easier to pass those so-called thresholds."

"Just do it, Hart, we will follow you to find the professor."

"What good things are you thinking about?" Hart immediately refused: "I have already made enough publicity in the Snape incident. What I need now is to keep a low profile."

After messing with Snape, he realized that he had completely broken with pure-blood wizards.

During this year, he spent his free time in the library, focusing on improving his spell skills. He would go to Hagrid every weekend to ask him to be his training partner.

"So you go to the professor and ask for extra classes."

Then, Hart looked at them and became scared.

"You can rely on me to take the lead in school, but what about outside of school? The outside world does not give preferential treatment to little wizards like us."

Most of the three academies of Lion, Eagle and Badger are young wizards or mixed-race wizards from ordinary families. They are not considered the ruling class.

"All right!"

The senior wizard also felt a little embarrassed and didn't mention letting Hart take the lead.

Not long after, the dinner was over and everyone went back to their dormitories, preparing to go home for the holidays tomorrow.
